    Good morning. I found your vids yesterday and have watched the first several. I am totally new to graphics drawing and am attempting to learn how to use this program to create leather patterns for my leather working business. Maybe I'm just slow and old, (63), but I'm overwhelmed. All I think I need is to understand how to draw basic black and white images.
    I will continue to watch your videos in the hopes that my slow gray matter will pick up the necessary information. Thanks for making these.

    I'm making my way through your tutorials and the first thing I want to do is to say thank you! This is great! I'm setting up Inkscape for the first time, and it seems as though when I select something (doesn't seem to matter if it's an object or path) the "handles" that you're supposed to be able to use to grab and transform are colored white. This doesn't work well on a white background. I've changed my page's background to gray and that's a good workaround. But I'm curious if there is a way to customize the selector handles' color? Thanks in advance for all you do!

    Thank you for the wonderful tutorial videos! I've a question. We can make Text Object to Path. But then, how can we apply an effect of "Round Cap" to any Sans Serif Font which has straight corners like "Arial"?

    • @TJFREE
      @TJFREE  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks Bill, good question. After the text is converted to a path, it will have a Fill but no Stroke. Go to the Fill & Stoke settings, click on 'Stroke', and enable it. This will make the outline around the text letters a little thicker, but will still have hard edges. Then click on 'Stroke Style' and change the Join setting to make the edges round. Hope that helps!

    Hello. I have been
    studying and practicing engraving using Inkscape. My challenge is, when I open
    my file in my cnc usb machine, almost everything is perfect EXCEPT the path the
    bit takes to begin engraving. The file picture of my work is way off the screen.
    When I tell the program to begin, the bit moves along the line to start
    position, but it is way off my machine. I must stop the bit because it can’t
    reach the beginning without going off my worktable. What am I overlooking? how
    do I shorten the travel length of the bit to begin engraving?
