You couldn't imagine how useful your videos have been for the last months since I've discovered your channel, your content is the definition of priceless.
Nick, you have played such a huge part of my development as a designer and TH-camr. I have to thank you so much. You have no idea how much of an impact you made on me. You're the reason I decided to take TH-cam seriously and also why I have been able to adapt to Inkscape after several failed attempts in the past. I'm beyond grateful for you.
You know what they say. A software is only as powerful as its users! And thus, your contributions of content to the Inkscape community are invaluable! Thanks for all the time and effort you've put into these videos and keep up the great work!
Ever since I moved to Linux, my love for Inkscape becomes stronger every day. Even though I mostly work with raster graphics for album covers, poster design etc., I have managed to integrate it to my workflow, it's really capable and intuitive. Obviously not as intuitive as Adobe Illustrator or Affinity Designer, but I genuinely appreciate all the hard work the Inkscape team has put in.
The montage in the beginning is amazing. I've worked with Illustrator for 25+ years and I'm nowhere near as efficient. Your level of skill is truly impressive!
Hey this is Rafayed and I just want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for all the help and guidance you've provided me with in learning Logo design on Inkscape. Your support and expertise have been invaluable to me, and I truly appreciate your generosity in sharing your knowledge. Thank you for being such an amazing mentor. Your content was so valuable, easily understandable and very helpful. I learned a lot from it. Once again, thanks for this valuable content!
Nick, you really are the BEST person on TH-cam for explaining things clearly and thoroughly without making it boring. Thank you so much for once again giving me exactly the information I was looking for. You are a lifesaver.
Even though I have been using Inkscape for many years - occasionally as a hobbyist - this introductory video was very helpful. Thanks for this and all the other videos that you have provided!
Watching this video felt like it was custom made for me. You answered so many questions I've had while tinkering with Inkscape for couple of weeks now. Thanks!
I've been following you for some years now and for me, you're the best teacher hands down. Your tutorials are always simple, concise and clear. Thank you so much Nick🙏
been wracking my brain trying to figure this out on my own. Your video and the way you've explained things was so helpful and is very much appreciated.
Great tutorial Nick as always! Even though it’s a beginner tutorial and I know everything you mentioned in this tutorial but I enjoyed watching it till the last second. You have a magic way Nick in teaching attracting people to watch your tutorial 👍 very well done!
I've been trying to find someone to help me with some designs and finally I figured I just need to learn Inkscape. I've tried other tutorials and well I gave up. Tonight I figured I'd give it another shot and came across this tutorial... Nick, you changed my life. Not only is this doable but its pretty dang simple. Gratitude!!!
I recently bought a laser and need to be able to create svg files. I chose Inkscape and have watched a few other tutorials and yours is by far the best! Thank you! I'll be back for more! Excellent teaching!
This is the video i was looking for learning basics of incskape after watching lots of video i learned nothing.but this is the video i am satisfied with. You are a very good teacher.
This video is terribly useful! I’ve watched a lot of videos that go so fast that you can’t see what they’re doing. Yours is very clear and detailed. I bought an embroidery machine and need a way to make text and other designs to transfer to vp3 format. I stumbled onto inksense and inkstitch but couldn’t figure out how to use them. This video of yours is a great start. Thank you.
Thanks so much for the crystal clear tutorials , Nick. I've always enjoyed using Inkscape and your tutorials are so invaluable when it comes to appreciating its powerful capabilities.
This is seriously the clearest tutorial I have ever seen in any context. It's clear that you're a pro with the software, but more importantly, you know how to present the content in a way that's easily digestible.
I am grateful to have stumbled on your channel, I like your teaching style. Your tutorials have helped me stay within budget in my cooperate brand gig.
This is an incredible introduction into this design program. A little story behind why I'm here. My dad makes his own board games. From concepts, to gameplay, rules, graphics, etc. He does it all. We've been looking for an illustrator-equivalent program to both get our hands on so we can work on some of his newest games. I come from an illustrator background, so finding something similar was crucial to allow me to help him as he learns a program like this for the first time (he's used plenty of iPad/stylist drawing programs, none of them mouse & vector based). Thanks for providing such great content! I'm glad I found your channel as I'm sure he and I will spend hours watching your videos learning Inskscape. I'm excited for what we will come to learn! ps. In this one introduction video, you can already feel some of the strength Inkscape has behind it, not just as an "free illustrator-lite" but as a fantastic design software on it's own.
I just wanted to say that I have just found your channel and am already hooked! Your style of tutorial is what all other youtubers should emulate. Clear, concise, yet detailed. Thanks for sharing your expertise!
This is truly one of, if not THE best tutorial I have ever watched. I had to pause and will pick it back up later because my brain is so full. I have been dabbling in graphic design for about 30 years and I have been incredibly intimidated by vector design (Illustrator). I cannot thank you enough for demystifying it for me. Maybe it's the tool (Inkscape seems to be a game changer), maybe it's just the right time, but I wholeheartedly credit your clear, concise tutorial for literally changing my life. I am subscribing and will now be diving into your videos. Thank you for what you do.
Thank you so much! I am just getting into Inkscape, and your tutorials (this one especially) have been so incredibly helpful! I came in knowing nothing, but I feel ready to experiment on my own more now. Thanks again, and I'm sure I'll be watching a lot more of your videos in the weeks to come!
Big thanks! Outstanding step by step process. At last, Ive got my first project named yinyang save as svg and png. Feeling amazed. Puhon againnn next tutorial🤣
I just wanted to thank you for sharing your time and expertise. This tutorial was exactly what I needed to clarify the basics as I get going with Inkscape. I'm not super savvy but your demonstrations were clear and easy to follow. I look forward to your other videos and perhaps your master class. Greatly appreciated!
I enjoyed your demonstration. Just started my Promotional Printing business and was looking for something like this. I have no art background, but I hope your step-by-step instructions can take me to the point where I am at least comfortable with Inkscape.
Thank you very much. I wanted to work with inkscape for a while, since I love to work in illustartor (I´m unable to obtain it), but I just could figure out how to work with this software. Yout tutorial is very well structured, thank you.
Thanks for the useful videos you make Nike! I got into vector art thanks to you! I just have one question though. How can I enable the handles on a node?
@@jessicapelayo97 I'm not an expert at vector art nor do I draw frequently, but I'd gladly show you some of my stuff! If you have an email I can send you my drawings. What you do think? Also, feel free to suggest no how I can send it to you. : D
I'm wondering about your opinion on learning Inkscape in time of AI. Does it worth learning what are pros and cons of it. What future of graphics looks like and how can we adapt?
The end of the video why I was here. So far I did my vektor scetches in LibreOffice Draw, but I did not see a good way to export it to e.g. png to use it in gimp. Also, I guess that InkScape have more variety of tools to use :D
Aloha Nick, love your instructional content. I am trying to take up a new hobby using Inkscape. Q: a template designed in Affinity Designer 2, will I be able to import that file to Inkscape? Thank you, hope to get an answer!
