This video is pure gold, simply excellent! We need to dispel the myth that Full Frame is better than APS-C. If Full Frame cameras were better than anything else, believe me, at this point in history, Arri, who manufactures the best cinema cameras, would have already set aside Super 35 sensors. Thank you for this video, been very confused on which had the better quality between 5d mark 3 (old and full frame, 22mp) and a t7i (newer APC, 24 mp) considering both using the same lens. Cause I was considering upgrading to a full frame because just as you said most people say full frame is professional and better quality despite mega pixels
For Video, would choose FX3 over R6 any day. R6 is more a hybrid camera, FX3 more geared toward videoproduction. In that sense not a valid comparisons form a hybrid perspective R6 preferable 100%. Nice work and good video for anyone debating the apsc or ff for their work. It’s nice to have both options in a lot of cameras where you have both FF and apsc modes.

8:57 The 1000$ question is: Does low tech FF with larger pixel sensor and great bokeh lens is cheaper than newest technology APS-C who get better dynamic range + bokeh lens?
And what about the lens price comparison for the exact same bokeh? FF lens cost more, but low F number APS-C lens that can match the same bokeh aren't cheap either!
I'm looking for the best bang for my buck solution....

9:00 the a7siii is actually a 48mp camera that uses 4x1 pixel binning to combine 4 pixels into one creating a 12mp image with a better SNR and reduced aliasing
dude I had no clue about this! super cool to learn. but it still effectively end up being the same principal. you bin the pixel and you get a bigger pixel.

I love apsc but for me ( and it’s just my humble opinion ), the problem with apsc is if you want minimal compromise with autofocus capacity and body characteristic .
That narrow the choice for the apsc to canon r7 or Sony a6700 .
Sony a6700 viewfinder and screen are a joke . Canon r7 lens selection are a joke ( if I have to buy expensive rf Lens then I go for full frame ).
Good content! Since the large glass iris makes the image blurrier, what happens if we put the large iris glass for a full frame to an apsc sensor camera?
great question, so you will have a tighter shot because the Field of view will be smaller in n the apsc. But you will get the exact same depth of field. So using large input iris glass on apsc will work
Awesome as always. Being new to all of this, I have heard pros and cons to both and I'm still just as confused on which way to go. My use case is pretty simple and straightforward. I'm extremely new to video and photo actually haven't even started yet. lol... I'm going to be using the camera strictly for scuba diving, I know you are not an underwater photographer or videographer, but I would like your insight on which would actually be better for me APS-C or Full Frame. I will primarily be shooting video 95% of the time and the camera will need to be able to capture in low-light as well. Could you please guide me in the right direction. I'm looking for a camera that has interchangeable lenses and not a point and shoot style camera... Thanks
since you are under water you must also consider if the camera will fit in the under water housing and if that affects the pricing on the entire package. I think under water housing must hvae a pro camera with a fan and a cooling system/.
but you should use a full frame sensor. My thinking is if you are under water its better to have your shot be a bit wider than you need because you will not be precise controll over your framing. I would say, sony and canon are your best options mainly because of their autofocus system.
And I don't know how far down you are going but you also need a light to illuminate your scene otherwise you footage will be too dark.

This guy is doing a disservice for anyone new in photography. An APSC isn’t a tighter shot, & a FF isn’t wider. Consumers buy lenses they need/want based on FF-equivalent. This is why Fujifilms top two selling lenses are 23mm & 56mm. Because at 1.5 crop factor on APSC sensor, they are standard 35mm & 85mm lenses.
This guy saying an APSC camera gives you a more “intimate shot” is probably one of the most uneducated things I’ve ever heard in photography.
You assemble kit based on body & lens, and what focal lengths you desire.
Please, don’t listen to this person.
I am all for open debate. i said it gives you a tighter shot on the same lense. and just because you have the same equivalent focal length doesn't mean you get the same characteristic as that focal length.
do you know how bad a 23mm looks if you try to get up close to a face vs a 35mm.

Also thinking of everything in terms of a ff equivalent is something proffesional cinematographers know NOT to do. Its an old school way of thinking that only popped up because of digital sensors.
A 35 mm focal length lens will give you a wider shot with full frame than with APSC. So long as the lens is the same focal length, the full frame will give you the wider shot. With APSC you need a shorter focal length lens for wider shots.

Hardware does matter..... These videos suck
And a Sony 70-200 f2.8 will always be far better then a Tamron 70-300 F3.5-6
