Sorry I missed your live. A stator is the first thing I had to replace on my bike. That stator is definitely fride. Great video Dr.Harley. Thanks for sharing with us ✌️
Doc, when you're in behind primary, you should always replace shifter seal in my experience. You already replaced the two others. I never want to go back in to replace a $5 seal. I don't want to have to tell someone I f up.
Yes I do, However, that was not the focus of this video, If I recorded everything, than this video would be around an hour and half. But I should have mentioned that,..
@@DrHarley I understand. I usually use 2 allen wrenches in the holes of the rotor and give them a mighty yank. The hard part is threading the new wire in.
@HellfighterPreacherman, yes, that would be much harder. Also, getting in there with the torque wrench with the extension. I just prefer no extensions with a torque wrench. In all in all. It's only 7 more bolts to remove to make life so much easier

I remember doing this job on my old Shadow.. it was so easy to get too.
Ohh what’s up fellas
You make that look way to easy. I so enjoy watching these how to's. Some day I'll be brave enough to do it.
Thank you. It's that I have done so many of them. Year after year.
Great vid doc!

6:25 I was wondering where that stater was located
10:34 really great easy to follow videos so far😊
Thank you. It's those hard to get spots i have to work on videoing.
Good info,The wheel is called a rotor I think 👍
I think you're correct.
Great video doc
Thank you.
Well that is interesting The stater is huge.
Normal size for a harley.
@@DrHarley just never seen before, didn't even know where it went
@MotoBaumVirginia awesome i always love it when I learn something new. I am glad that you received some value from this video
@ I did.
@MotoBaumVirginia awesome.
6:57 did some of the coding of the wire go bad or how did that work?
The wires around one pole dot smoked. How it happened and why. I have no idea. The Stator the thr start of the charging system.

Do you have to remove the inner primary. I thought you can replace the stator without removing
You can if you do some grinding on the inner Primary. I am not a fan of that.
Not understanding why you needed to pull the inner primary cover. I have done stators by just pulling the outer cover.
My experience is that the Stator wheel gets caught up and it's hard to remove. It's also easier to remove it. IMO
