Hi Josh great video. I am stuck right now because I’m considering an EV, and recently I heard that Tesla and a lot of companies will in the next few years be switching from ev to hydrogen. Tesla said in 2024 they will be making hydrogen vehicles. I’m just worried if I buy an electric vehicle that buy the time I sell it in maybe 8-10 years the battery life will be poor and I will lose whatever equity I had in the car because I have heard a replacement battery could cost up to 1/2 the price of the vehicle. What are your thoughts? Also the car companies are charging above msrp for many vehicles. Do you think when the 2023 come in the 2022 will be discounted?
Hey Jordan, thanks for the comment! I strongly believe, for smaller consumer vehicles, electric will be by far the majority by 2030. Hydrogen will have a niche, but not for mass markets. Most companies will warranty their batteries for at least 8-10 years, so I wouldn’t worry about resale as much. Prices will fall to MSRP soon, but I honestly think EVs will be less of a value in the future as demand roses. Good luck!

I made a video comparing a bunch of crossovers, and the Tesla Y and Kia/Hyundai, and VW were the top. depends of course on your budget
