Lol I get most comments on my perfumes from women. But one time I was wearing Hypnotic Poison sample and noticed that a guy's nose was going overtime as he was talking to me. It was obvious he liked the scent. That prompted me to add a full bottle to my collection. 😂
Great video Arlene! I agree with your hubby on most! L’Imperatrice smells like tomato juice to me, I bought Matcha Meditation for my daughter and I hated it, and Beautiful was one of my mother’s signature scents and she died 18 years ago, so it’s a keeper. I guess I’m lucky my hubby loves and compliments my fragrances daily and I feature many on my fragrance channel. Loved this!
Ahhh, the old 80s Poison formulation was my scent back in the day. I was told it smelled like bug spray and also headache inducing. Kept the perfume, dropped the boyfriend. 😂(not because he hated my fragrance, but it was a big minus point 🧐)
Omg who doesn't love l'imperatrice by D&G🤯mind totally blown. Either someone with no taste a broken sniffer 😂 I LOVE L'imperatrice SOOO much. My favorite perfume next to Aerin Mediterranean Honeysuckle and Oudwood Tom Ford😂
I agree. It prevents getting our perfume on those who may not appreciate the scent. Personally it really bugs me when someone goes around hugging everyone, and rubbing their cloying obnoxious perfume on me.
I’m a perfume girl, but I get your husband. Most “viral” perfumes, that everyone raves about, I just don’t care for. Some (I’m looking at you, Delina) are scrubbers that make my head hurt and my stomach turn. I’ve also worked in offices where women over-spray nuclear scents and I find these women absolutely offensive 🤪 One or two sprays to keep it with it your personal space, because not everyone likes your perfume, or perfume at all. So when my husband tells me he hates a scent, I do the same as you - keep it way from him.
I love Pure Poison. I can't say I've ever gotten a bad comment on my perfumes but I tend to go for fairly likable stuff. I had a student comment once that what I was wearing was strong. I asked it it was bad and she said no, it was just strong.
Years ago when beautiful was a popular fragrance a coworker of mine wore it to a meeting. She sat next to me and after about a half an hour I literally had to get up to be sick to my stomach. I completely agree with your husband on that one!
My mum hates Poison on me as it's too heavy. Also Pure Poison. She says it smells like rotten flowers. Beautiful used to be my signature scent 25 years ago .... until I had a surgery. A lady came to visit another patient in the same room and she was wearing Beautiful.😮 From that point on, I felt nauseous whenever I smelled it. Nevertheless, if you really like it, try the body cream as I feel it's much better and has a really classy scent.
OMG, Pure poison is such a beautiful, fresh, classy, elegant, clean, floral scent. I have 2 trips coming up in 2 months time n I've already decided now dt it's going to b my travelling scent. A truly forgotten gem in my collection, so I'm gon give her much love dt time😊
I remember when I was in high school I only wore perfume oils because I didn’t have a lot of money and I had this raspberry oil and every time somebody would walk in the class they would make comments I smell cotton candy. I smell like cake baking. I smell pop tarts. 😂
I swear ones that people say are holy grails are sneeze headaches inducing for me and my husband - Libra, Born in Roma, NR For Her, anything from Mugler, anything super floral and powdery. Omg back in the early 90’s I borrowed my friend’s Poison and I could not get enough of it! Maybe the tuberose and or orange blossom - they’re strong - My Way is terrible until it wears down for days on paper.
I love pure poison so much but occasionally it will give me a headache. I love the way l'impreratrice smells wonderful initially but the rhubarb at the very end of dry down is soooo sharp and can smell rancid
Lol. I can relate. I have many fragrances that my boyfriend hate them and I don't wear them when I'm with him. Also there are others that me and him like, such as white flowers or rose scents, but he can't stand (and can't understand) some of my perfume choices (mostly vintage and cyphre family). p.s. I love Pure Poison but not Poison. Although I like vintage fragrance, Poison smells kind of strange for me.
My partner hates all of my leather, smoky, earthy, ashy scents.. which is just hard to me to handle. I use them anyway, just I don't apply them at home.
My husband really dislikes the Delina perfumes. Both the OG and Exclusif. He says the scents smell like something oldfashioned from the 80’s 😂 Even the dog walks away with a sceptical look in its eyes if I wear my Exclusif!
Oh my, some of your husbands' comments were so funny. I don't know if I'm in a better or worse situation. My husband can't smell anything. He has ever made any comment on any fragrance I've worn. If I freshly spray and hold my arm up to his nose, he usually says "that's nice"...lol....I've learned to wear perfume for my own enjoyment but it would be nice to get a compliment now and then
@@gabye. I do think his sense of smell is limited or damaged from something but he has commented on other aromas like cooking food so I don't think it's completely missing,
L'Imperatrice 3 is not a compliment getter, but a summer fruitchuli I enjoy for myself. Beautiful was my wedding scent. I think it was reformulated from what I wore in the 80s/90s.
My husband hates Gris Charmel & Ani. I haven’t worn Poison around him. I don’t think he’d like that either. Which is funny because poison is supposed to be sexy . Like GC & Ani
I own over 60 fragrances, and just once my husband commented about a fragrance in a very negative way- it was Sisley Soir de lune. It smelled something dirty and sweaty to him
I agree about Soire de Lune. They went overboard with the patchouli. Soir de Lune is a sweaty BO version of Eau du Soir also by Sisley. Eau du Soir is a lot more refined.
My husband really dont like Blanche Bette and i loooove that one. He said that the perfume is very HEAVY. 🤷🏻♀️ I dont mind, i love it anyway (both, perfume and husband 😅). Saludos desde Argentina, buenos aires. ❤
Aww cute thumbnail! It’s funny I still wear Poison and all the men HS thru college husbands ( sadly I had 2 😅)loved poison! Sadly I’m stuck with new id prefer the old! I will say out of all the reforms in the fragrance world they didn’t mess up poison too much! But poison and Chanel 5 have been my most compliment by men! ( yesterday tho I wore Crystal noir edp which can give me a headache…I got four compliments in each store I went! Wow and my cashier hates alien fusion ha
I bought older version of Armani Code and it stunk to me, even though I don't find the new version offensive. I had to sell the old Armani Code, because I couldn't stand it. We have different tastes in perfume, so I don't blame your husband. I have a Dior Poison Girl. I bought L'Imperatrice 3 and I didn't like something in it. I bought later plain L'Imperatrice and I really like it.
My goodness, I could not agree more with your husband. My opinion of all the mentioned perfumes is the same almost word by word. Chemical factory...yes, the Creed I like but too masculine to my nose, the Replica one I had to scrape off, nauseating; I am OK with Poison Girl, but never reach for it. So funny though, that his most hated one ended up with his mother-in-law:)People don't really seem to like Guidance on me, while I find it interesting and unique.
I really wanted to have one of the Poison as I remember when I was in grade school I had a mini. It was strong but I ended up loving it. Poison EDP. 2 years ago I went to a Sephora and smelled all the Poison and I didn’t like any so I ended up not buying. I still remember though that my whole family and I loved the Tender Poison but it was discontinued 😞 Thanks for sharing these stories.
Great video. I understand how your husband feels about L'Imperatrice. I hear a lot of people say it's a watermelon scent but I don't get that at all. I bought 3 bottles thinking I had gotten fake bottles, but they all smell the same. I have given one bottle to a family member and she loves it and when she wears it I still don't like it. So I'll probably give the other bottles away. SMH 🤦♀️ Thanks for sharing.
Recently sampled the Sol de Janeiro line at the airport and the husband hated all of them 😅 but I still bought the Beija Flor jet set. It was actually the only one I liked , as the others were too sweet, and I have found I prefer using the spray for layering.
I think my husband is nose blind he says zero about any of my perfumes, it’s ok because I wear them for me mainly. I used to own Escada Cherry in the air and I loved that one. I own Poison girl edp and I love it, reminds me of syrupy marzipan fruits.
Beautiful came out in the mid 90s. I was one of the first ones to get a bottle and that fragrance was so gorgeous.. if you buy a bottle now, they have absolutely destroyed the fragrance😢 it was really strong, but oh so gorgeous. Sounds like your husband has an allergy to certain colognes or perfumes. I had that as well. they don't bother me as bad as they used to though. But my daughter has a super sensitive nose so I have to be careful what I wear around her. It's really not their fault.
I have so much perfumes and samples and try new perfume everyday. But the one my Dad hates the most is D&G Light Blue. He said that it smells like dish soap or cleaning product. 😅 I personally don't like any Poison 🥺
Yeah, Creed's Virgin Island water really has me wanting to get my nose on it cause of d coconut water, lime, rum n sugarcane notes. These notes combo are very appealing to me.
I don't like Dolce & Gabbana L'imperatrice either. It smells like a can of pineapple. I figured out that I really don't like citrus perfumes. My daughter took L'imperatrice, but I'm going to throw away Poison Girl.
Absolutely, I love Fruity Scents too ❤❤❤ juicy , yes yum You are sweet ...and I just already know I love Lavender smells too. And a a friend/ person I do business with we have definitely different taste in some perfumes and also I love Ginger and she doesn't. And its okay , bc we are all different. Its better imho for a spouse to be honest and sure there is plenty you can where. ❤ Another friend can wear one oerfume and it smells totally different then me . Its her signature scent , and on me its meh ❤😊😅
your husband has a good and sane nose. the dark diors or similar perfumes are too heavy and do not smell good on others after dry down or just musky and the others are meh. heavy scents are more tricky to blend with the right amount of complexity so it does not just end up overpowering and dirty in scent. beautiful was always overrated. it does not smell fresh so he is right on that point. it is more like an old school linear perfumey floral like chanel no.5 etc. It just has a generic yellow flower linear floral perfume scent. There are far better ones out there.
I would like really support your opinion for G&G Imperatrice, it really fantastic, super fresh, tropical and high classes ❤Adore it❤How it is possible your husband to compare it with chemical factory😮 Otherwise you are fantastic and very positive, keep it😊
For me D&G l impératrice smells like sweat 😂and whenever I think of that I smell sweat but after I while when the jus is older it’s became In a nice watery fruits
Hi! So funny that your husband said pure poison smells like a mean girl. Another perfume reviewer said the poison line reminds her of the mean girls that wore it when she was in high school. So interesting! Love your videos🎉
My son has the most honest comments. Xerjoff la capital - never wear this again. Xerjoff shunkoin - what is that disgusting smell? Proceeds to open all the windows. Mugler angel muse edp - mom you need to take more showers. 😂 I assume he’s super sensitive to oud. It’s really sad because he lives with me and these are some of my favorites. And unfortunately they all project - so I can’t really sneak it past him. 😂
Oh.. OH! Angel Muse, one of my favorites, got me a surprisingly polarizing comment : "... so they really thought it'd be cool to make it smell nasty.. like NASTY nasty. this $! is straight up DIRTY! like unwashed, uncleaned, ROLLED IN THE MUD DIRTY! but I kinda dig it I guess.. it's sexy... in an irritating kind of way" A fella :) and I was constantly like but,, but.. NUTELLA?!?
Ah, Poison from back in the day lol! I remember trying it when it first dropped (and I was way too young for it but I loved fragrance) and making my mom almost throw up when I got back in the car from the perfume counter. 😆 She was like, 'OMG what the heck is THAT?!' The only other scent that's ever made her react that strongly in a negative way that I've tried is Tommy Hilfiger from way back in the 90s (maybe mid-90s). She gagged violently with that one, too, which was fine because I didn't like it either.
My husband actually stole my L'Imperatrice and use it all up till the last drop 😂... i originally bought it for hotter days but cant stand it.. so I am happily letting him stole it from me 😊
My hubs likes one perfume. One. It’s great but not me, not every day. I don’t know how to find a good compromise. He loves Miss Dior parfum and edp. I love black opiums, mon Guerlain, kayali, la belle…I’ve decided to wear what I want. If he hates it I’ll wash it off…til I’m alone 😅
Sorry he hates all your favorite gourmand scents. You must have some perfumes he likes. Do you have a video of the ones he likes? Glad he likes the edt of Poison Girl. I love the vintage original Poison. It takes me back to when I was young and beautiful in 1985. Honestly all the others would probably give me a headache too. Heavy vanilla scents turn my stomach. Beautiful and Pure Poison have the sillage of a baseball bat imho. Love your videos.

My husband dislikes Zadig & Voltaire This is her and any perfume containing sandalwood and/or cardamom (Zara Energetically New York)....ah well, no accounting for tastes😂
I agree with him when it comes to the poison family, they are really trash in my opinion, but as far as the rest of them go, I gotta be honest, I never semelled none.

Lol I get most comments on my perfumes from women. But one time I was wearing Hypnotic Poison sample and noticed that a guy's nose was going overtime as he was talking to me. It was obvious he liked the scent. That prompted me to add a full bottle to my collection. 😂
Keep the poison ones ❤, they are beautiful and timeless ❤
Lol, I remember Amarige always smelled like bug spray to me.
My brother used to call the classic dolce gabbana one (with the red cap) a bug spray hahaha
I just bought it online for $35 and my husband doesn’t like it either. Oh well.
Pure poison gives me a headache too. It’s too sharp, even the vintage which I own. Hypnotic poison is perfection.
We love to know which perfumes he loves on you
Coming soon 😊
Spray it on your skin at your waist under your clothes. I have to do this with Opium and Clinique Aromatics.
I agree. It prevents getting our perfume on those who may not appreciate the scent. Personally it really bugs me when someone goes around hugging everyone, and rubbing their cloying obnoxious perfume on me.
I spray under my clothes too. Let's me wear all my scents with out being in others faces
Aromatics Elixer is one of my favorites but it's difficult to find occasions to wear it.
@@bchompoo I like to wear AE on a hot day. It is so herbal and green!
I honestly feel like a lot of men don’t care for perfume in general. It’s like red lipstick. Lol
I notice this, too, unless it's subtle.
Love the poison ones ❤
Love your Lipstick 💄 Color , very pretty.
Years ago when beautiful was a popular fragrance a coworker of mine wore it to a meeting. She sat next to me and after about a half an hour I literally had to get up to be sick to my stomach. I completely agree with your husband on that one!
🤣
My mum hates Poison on me as it's too heavy. Also Pure Poison. She says it smells like rotten flowers.
Beautiful used to be my signature scent 25 years ago .... until I had a surgery. A lady came to visit another patient in the same room and she was wearing Beautiful.😮 From that point on, I felt nauseous whenever I smelled it. Nevertheless, if you really like it, try the body cream as I feel it's much better and has a really classy scent.
Hypnotic Poison is a masterpiece.
💯
OMG, Pure poison is such a beautiful, fresh, classy, elegant, clean, floral scent. I have 2 trips coming up in 2 months time n I've already decided now dt it's going to b my travelling scent.
A truly forgotten gem in my collection, so I'm gon give her much love dt time😊
I remember when I was in high school I only wore perfume oils because I didn’t have a lot of money and I had this raspberry oil and every time somebody would walk in the class they would make comments I smell cotton candy. I smell like cake baking. I smell pop tarts. 😂
Sounds delicious!
I remembered you when I tried Matcha Meditation last week. Yes, I smelled fried fish 😂.
Your lip color is pretty. What shade is this.
I really want a bottle of the original Poison but it’s very hard to find it in my town.
The only perfume my hubby really like is Beautiful. It was my wedding scent back in the days...
I needed a good laugh this morning. So fun. So honest. I do not think I would ever wear the scents my husband did not like.
Oh wow, Virgin Island Water is a favorite of mine too. I also only have a decant which i use sparingly because its precious to me. Yum. 🍹
What a fun topic. I love L’Imperatrice and I’m dating myself but beautiful was my wedding scent.
I love pure poison so much but occasionally it will give me a headache. I love the way l'impreratrice smells wonderful initially but the rhubarb at the very end of dry down is soooo sharp and can smell rancid
Speaking about cherry blossom - have you tried La Petite Robe Noire Rose Cherry? It's fantastic for spring and summer 🌞
Not yet! Sounds lovely 😍
Or Just Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Cherry Bloodom edition 🌷
Lol 🐕
Oh my, some of your husbands' comments were so funny. I don't know if I'm in a better or worse situation. My husband can't smell anything. He has ever made any comment on any fragrance I've worn. If I freshly spray and hold my arm up to his nose, he usually says "that's nice"...lol....I've learned to wear perfume for my own enjoyment but it would be nice to get a compliment now and then
Does your husband has anosmia( complete loss of the sense of smell) ?
My son is anosmic, he doesn't know what a smell is.
@@gabye. I do think his sense of smell is limited or damaged from something but he has commented on other aromas like cooking food so I don't think it's completely missing,
I can so relate to this topic. Each time I pick up a bottle I have to think about whether he will be at work! 😂
🥰
Aww cute thumbnail! It’s funny I still wear Poison and all the men HS thru college husbands ( sadly I had 2 😅)loved poison! Sadly I’m stuck with new id prefer the old! I will say out of all the reforms in the fragrance world they didn’t mess up poison too much! But poison and Chanel 5 have been my most compliment by men! ( yesterday tho I wore Crystal noir edp which can give me a headache…I got four compliments in each store I went! Wow and my cashier hates alien fusion ha
My husband never compliments my Perfumes .
Except for Delina and tresor ala folie... he never gave any compliments
Exactly, Estee lauder's beautiful is just what it is, BEAUTIFUL! ... But i think i prefer a flanker of it, Beautiful love.
I still remember though that my whole family and I loved the Tender Poison but it was discontinued 😞
Thanks for sharing these stories.
My pleasure! 🤗
Now I'm intrigued, which perfumes does he like on you?
Nice video😅 my husband hates everything that is powdery and he's reaction is ... acting like a disgusted little kid until I wash it out😂
🤣
Beautiful came out in the mid 90s. I was one of the first ones to get a bottle and that fragrance was so gorgeous.. if you buy a bottle now, they have absolutely destroyed the fragrance😢 it was really strong, but oh so gorgeous. Sounds like your husband has an allergy to certain colognes or perfumes. I had that as well. they don't bother me as bad as they used to though. But my daughter has a super sensitive nose so I have to be careful what I wear around her. It's really not their fault.
I totally agree 🤗
I have so much perfumes and samples and try new perfume everyday. But the one my Dad hates the most is D&G Light Blue. He said that it smells like dish soap or cleaning product. 😅 I personally don't like any Poison 🥺
The Estée Lauder is beautiful I smelt carnal flower and it reminded me of Estée beautiful
Yeah, Creed's Virgin Island water really has me wanting to get my nose on it cause of d coconut water, lime, rum n sugarcane notes.
These notes combo are very appealing to me.
Thank you Arlene. I love the first three fragrances you mentioned.
I don't like Dolce & Gabbana L'imperatrice either. It smells like a can of pineapple. I figured out that I really don't like citrus perfumes. My daughter took L'imperatrice, but I'm going to throw away Poison Girl.
OMG this gave me a good laugh. Damp swamp, lol. It's so funny how a scent that one person likes is one that another person can't stand.
💯
Absolutely, I love Fruity Scents too ❤❤❤ juicy , yes yum
You are sweet ...and I just already know I love Lavender smells too.
I would like really support your opinion for G&G Imperatrice, it really fantastic, super fresh, tropical and high classes ❤Adore it❤How it is possible your husband to compare it with chemical factory😮 Otherwise you are fantastic and very positive, keep it😊
You’re sweatshirt is cute with the kitty 🐈⬛! Like your review, very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
My husbant can't stand Chloe edp! 😂 He hates floral sents in general, but Chloe...nono noooo!!!😂
It took me awhile to like Chloe, but now I love it, so clean.
@@NancyKonopka I love it too but my huspbant hates it and I can't wear it because of that🫣
A lot of people don't like Poison OG. I think it smells like grape juice
For me D&G l impératrice smells like sweat 😂and whenever I think of that I smell sweat but after I while when the jus is older it’s became In a nice watery fruits
🤣
Thanks Arlene., I own a few that your husband doesn’t like 4-15-2024❤
Aww I can’t believe he didn’t like beautiful too! 😢 but I agree with him on the matcha ! Sushi!! And grass 😅
😅
@@DeliciousDelights maybe try the other popular matcha one? I forgot the name
Hi! So funny that your husband said pure poison smells like a mean girl. Another perfume reviewer said the poison line reminds her of the mean girls that wore it when she was in high school. So interesting! Love your videos🎉
Oh really? Funny you mention that, as my husband also said mean girls from high school...I just didn't mention that detail in the video 😆
😂That must be the mean girl fragrance! I don’t have any Poison line fragrances. For some reason they have never grabbed my attention.
My son has the most honest comments.
Xerjoff la capital - never wear this again.
Xerjoff shunkoin - what is that disgusting smell? Proceeds to open all the windows.
Mugler angel muse edp - mom you need to take more showers. 😂
I assume he’s super sensitive to oud. It’s really sad because he lives with me and these are some of my favorites. And unfortunately they all project - so I can’t really sneak it past him. 😂
Wow 😮
hilarious 😅
Oh.. OH!
Angel Muse, one of my favorites, got me a surprisingly polarizing comment : "... so they really thought it'd be cool to make it smell nasty.. like NASTY nasty. this $! is straight up DIRTY! like unwashed, uncleaned, ROLLED IN THE MUD DIRTY! but I kinda dig it I guess.. it's sexy... in an irritating kind of way"
A fella :)
and I was constantly like but,, but..
Oh no! Poor Mum 😊
that's wild. out of all the Poison fragrances, Hypnotic is the one i can't stand 😂 smells like sweet playdoh to me 🤢🤮
Hilarious title for a video! Love it.... 😂😂
I hate pure poison also. I had to return to Macy’s about two years ago. I heard so many good things about so I blind brought it. It’s not for me😅.
My husband actually stole my L'Imperatrice and use it all up till the last drop 😂... i originally bought it for hotter days but cant stand it.. so I am happily letting him stole it from me 😊
🤣
What a fun video!😊
My hubs likes one perfume. One. It’s great but not me, not every day. I don’t know how to find a good compromise. He loves Miss Dior parfum and edp. I love black opiums, mon Guerlain, kayali, la belle…I’ve decided to wear what I want. If he hates it I’ll wash it off…til I’m alone 😅
He picked a good one! 😁
Yes there are many he likes as well, I'll do an updated video on those soon 😀
The only fragrance my husband hated was Alien 🤣
Actual green tea taste fishy to me, wear it when he makes you mad 🤭
🤣
taste?! think you mean smells.
@@onlyjesussaves840 i drink tea, do you?
I love pure poison
LMBO! I AGREE W/ YOUR HUSBAND ON ALL OF THEM MYSELF. ;) THAT'S JUST TOO FUNNY! HE SHOULD COME ON YOUR CHANNEL W/ YOU, WE'D LOVE TO MEET HIM. :) THAT WOULD BE TOO MUCH FUN~! :) HE GIVES GOOD CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM ON THE FRAGRANCES. NOW DO A VIDEO OF THE SCENTS HE DOES LIKE, THAT WOULD BE NEAT TO HEAR. :) TY MIRALINE. :) GOD BLESS~! :)
Every perfume i love and doesnt give me headaches, my husband dislikes and gives him headaches and the ones he likes give me headaches and i dont like. Ahh cant win lol
🫢😅
My husband dislikes Zadig & Voltaire This is her and any perfume containing sandalwood and/or cardamom (Zara Energetically New York)....ah well, no accounting for tastes😂
I agree with him when it comes to the poison family, they are really trash in my opinion, but as far as the rest of them go, I gotta be honest, I never semelled none.
Pure poison - mean girl:) yes!
Can you do a video on the fragrances your husband enjoys on you? My husband thinks BR540 and AR Cloud smells like bleach. Go figure 😤
Will do!!
