Thanks for the honest review. The 370z with the 7AT does let you hold it at redline also. It does not shift up if its in manual mode. If a downshift falls within the rev range it will downshift even around the redline of 7500rpm.
Probably going to do a MT base model (with a B&M or Z1 short shifter) and order the Nismo parts I want like the bumper covers and 1.5 way LSD. Nismo, Z1, AMS, SPL Parts is how I will mod my base MT Z!
That 5th gear thing you keep talking about, it's probably the shifter retaining plate not being aligned. Since it a press car, one of you youtuber probably knock it out of alignment shifting too hard. Happens on the 370z as well when you swap in short shifter or drop the tranny and don't align it properly. A 10 minute fix.

@@RagShop1 Choice is important in life, but when it comes to appliances (which cars generally are), most people are subject to what manufacturers end up making. Performance or not. Also, technology will eventually give way for all cars to be automatic in the future. No one ever uses typewriters any more to communicate. Including when posting comments on this social media platform. 😉
@@DRBG444 I'm aware of manufacturing realities but a purported hardcore version of a sports car that already has a manual in its lesser versions should have one in this model as well. Even sadder that the C8 Corvette is also automatic only. What a tragedy.

Supra has the comfort and sport button, has the looks no matter the fake vents which everyone complains, nismo z is more of a track focused, no comfort button for daily driving, but the looks is very sexy,nismo z has some old features like the interior and some other parts, honestly in my opinion Supra is good for daily and looks, but the nismo is good but not really a daily, me personally i’ll go for the Supra all day not gonna lie
4.5 seconds to 60 MPH for the Nismo Z not that impressive when you consider a Model Y DMP runs an easy 0-60 in 3.5 and hauls a whole lot more people and things........
M3p doesn't sound as good. Also Nismo would smoke in a multilap circuit race...but I would agree the m3p has more usable performance and functionality 😜
Looks like an Elantra N, particularly in that colour..... Not having a stick is actually a PLUS. There's few(er) stick drivers anymore and it takes away that choice, which is a good thing. Its AUTO or NO!! Even a great driver can NOT shift as quick as a good auto. This is a great auto. 04:30 "verticality"???? tilt, recline perhaps.
The Nissan Z should take a page from Dodge Chargers… Put the most powerful engine and let it loose…put the GTR engine in it……sit back and let the sale come and make it a 4 seats

The CHOICE of having a manual should've been kept. Many performance car drivers INSIST on it. Nismo Z needs BOTH.

It's NOT all about how fast the car is. For many sports car buyers a manual is a MUST for driving enjoyment. This car needs BOTH transmission choices.
