Sense - official live video is at 294K views. Sense was played live at Tokyo Garden Theater in front of 8000 fans, and I was lucky to be one there in front of MISA. Sense was the opening theme song for the anime "Platinum End" "プラチナエンド" and was released on the EP Unleash in 2022. This is hard rocking punk metal 🙂

Saiki's voice achieves clarity and emotional range despite being backed by a tsunami of sound. The transitions between the mini-solos are so seamless that it looks like a lively conversation.
That was first impression when I saw them at NJ show in Oct. I was about 15 feet away and could hear her natural voice. Made me smile with appreciation.
That's what it is. I've been trying to figure out what catches my ear about most of their songs (other than the face melting awesomeness), but it is like Kanami writes these so that the instruments aren't just providing a track for the vocals, but it is like the instruments are other voices that move the song along - like, as you say, a conversation. Thank you !

I'm not surprised that they released "Sense" first since they led off every show during the US tour with it. It sounds amazing as always. Hopefully "Hibana" or "Hate" will be next. They both KILLED live. I can't wait to get my DVD in April. 😄

There seems to be a lack of just one term to describe that feeling that BAND-MAID brings to their fans. It's like they touch each fan just slightly different from the one before or after them. On that last part he was wrong.
BAND-MAID are the perfect Form of a rock band, and they have alighted in our material world.

'Hate' was my favourite on the day, but 'Sense' was killer also.

Usually when I discover bands that I really like, I will hyper fixate on them for several months to maybe a year, if I really like them. I have been fixated on Band Maid for 2 years now!! Some of the best music I have ever heard! And one of the best rock bands to come out in 20-30 years!
I’m the same. They have also had the unintended side effect of making a lot of what I listened to before seem dreadfully boring and simple.
This is true. If you're a classic hard rock fan, we've been waiting for something like this since Guns 'n' Roses. BM will be around a long time, like Scorpions, Kiss, Metallica, etc...

6 years of fixating for me
The hyper fixation has no end in sight for me with Band-Maid. I fell into the pigeon hole from where I can never return, nor do I want to return. I have bought everything they have released so far, and I have been in Tokyo to see them live at TGT. Band-Maid was the first band I went to see outside Norway. The fixation is so strong I immediately entered the lottery for Band-Maid at Zepp Shinjuku in July. I won the lottery and will go to Tokyo again in July to see the one and only band for me, Band-Maid. I saw Pink Floyd and Deep Purple twice, with some 6-8 years between the concerts. With Band-Maid, only 6 months between the concerts. Before Band-Maid I was fixated on Dream Theater and I have all they have ever released, got to see them live in January of 2020. I discovered Band-Maid two years ago and they became my favorite band of all times shortly after. I love Band-Maid 😍

What a band! The sound is so fluid, from the riffs to solos to chorus... All the instruments are composed to elevate the music as one, and they complement the vocals amazingly.
And paying attention to each instrumental at a time, each one of them is giving so much to the sound and give so much to enjoy.

そしてお給仕での音楽とMCでのギャップの大きさ・・・
音楽は感動的、そしてMCは楽しく、面白く、愉快で奇抜で不道徳(？)・・・
可愛く、愛くるしい容姿から、解離したオフザケと自由闊達で笑いを誘う奇異・奇抜な行動・・・
そしてその言動と全く整合性のないシリアスで感動的で深くて熱い音楽・・・
お給仕を経る毎に「萌え萌えキューン」の「お呪い」は他のメンバーのラディカルな言動を無意識の内にエスカレーションさせている。
それは、メンバーのヘ〇タイ的な言動に繋がっている。ライブ中の飲酒、ビール缶の蓋開けからはじまり、遂にはあーちゃんが食べたバナナの皮(サイン入り)を主人様、お嬢様へのプレゼントとして「投げ込む」という衝撃的な行動まで行ってしまっている。
このままでは、次のツアーでは更なるヘ〇タイ性のアップは避けられそうもない・・・
そして、それこそがご主人様、お嬢様の望むものかもしれない。
米国ツアーの動画を見ていて思い至ったのがMISAが「開封の儀」を行った後のビールの空き缶の処理・・・
いくら何でもあ～ちゃんのようにサイン入りにして投げ込むのは危険性がある。
次の米国ツアーで想定できるのは、飲んだ後の空き缶にサインをして最前列のご主人様・お嬢様にプレゼントする事かもしれない。
そしてそれはご主人様・お嬢様の「お宝」になる事だろう。
もしかしたら争奪戦になるかも・・・
ヘ〇タイじみた妄想だが・・・
しかし、米ツアーでのみんちょの行動を見ていると・・・
みんちょがヘ〇タイじみた行動を取る理由とその気持ちが良く分かるような気が・・・している。

I could say it just once, but I've said it a thousand times, best band on the planet. They can do no wrong thank you Band Maid for being the absolute monsters you are!
1 of the best rock bands ever. Their songs are so good. Saikis voice is SO unique and beautiful. Kanamis style is so unique and badass. She’s always using single notes and octaves in the songs while Miku is doing a kick ass heavy rhythm. Kanamis style is very unique love it. Mina is an absolute legend on bass, always filling up massive space in songs and doing insanely cool multi note runs. And of course Akane is just amazing. So solid and so many cool fills and licks. Minus voice goes so well with Saikis singing. And the song writing and composition is fucking amazing. I love BANDMAID so much.
The best damn rock band in the world today. Keep rocking ladies and please come back to Chicago. :D

You're still under a rock. THere are countless female bands from Japan that are better:
Lonesome Blue, Letitout-lelia, Bridear, Nemophila, Lovebites, Anarchy Stone, Ark Royal, Aldious, Hagane.
Plus there are many coed bands with super talent females like Marina of Mardelas, Erika Van Halen of Whiskey Dust and Haruka "Hal-Ca" Noma of Asterism.
Band-Maid are well-known because they have a multi-billion dollar multi-media firm behind them.
Do not get sucked into this band by all of the weeaboos.

いやはやいやはや、自分はどおやらとんでもないバンドに出逢ってしまったようです。優れた音楽性に卓越した表現力は勿論ですが、メンバー個々の魅力にも惹かれ完全に鳩の穴に落ちました。このTGTお給仕ご帰宅しました。昨年のプレお給仕に続き２回目のご帰宅です。しかも、しかもですよ、今まで海外アーティストのライブは何十回も行きましたが、日本のバンドはBAND-MAIDが初めてです。さらに10周年も京都が決定し他にも数都市予定してます。勿論、横浜もご帰宅します。BAND-MAIDは自分史上最高のROCKBANDです。この出逢いに感謝し、彼女達の10周年全力で応援します。

Geezo this is totally sick. I'm in the same discovery boat most new BM fans are in, and loving every second. Getting blown away over 100 times, simply no bad songs. OK thats not even close to accurate all GREAT songs it seems impossible but I've loved them all.
OK the sick part. Just discovered Matchless Gum and Unfair Game and was frantically searching for this one CD I hadn't yet purchased to find out these are B sides, not on any albums. What???????

Welcome! Yes, it's incredible isn't it. I almost think the best introduction to Band-Maid might be to be played Hibana... then told it's the less popular of the two B-sides on this single.
Band-Maid only has A sides - when there's three songs on an EP, it's three A sides 😉
Legendary B sides!. As Summer drive, Screaming, Smile, Hide & Seek, Don't be long and Hibana (Corallium now is a reputated album track). They could make another outstanding EP just with their B sides.

It's been 2 months and 2 weeks since I got into BAND-MAID. That means I 'came home' to TGT on the 4th day of my B-M life.
Now I am so into B-M that it's not anything special for me to fly to Fukuoka from Tokyo just for B-M okyuji and buying a return flight ticket to Houston to come home at Houston and Austin okyujis. I might be the only Japanese resident to go there but so what?
This SENSE video of TGT reminds me of the shock I got there and I can't wait for the full blu-ray coming out in April.
Hi I can hear you loud and clear. I live in Norway, I was at TGT and I'm going to Zepp Shinjuku in July. Band-Maid is the first band I've traveled ouside of Norway to see, they are so great I even went to Japan to see them live. Band-Maid are the best band of my lifetime and my favorite band of all times.
You will not be the only Japanese resident there in Houston and Austin, I am quite sure.
