I was at this show!! As soon as the show started, a long haired guy right in front of me casually started shooting with his phone (not allowed in most cases in Japan). Security staff came to him immediately and the guy turned around to face her. The guy was Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme)!! Extreme had played at the same venue few days earlier. Seems both bands invited each other to their shows.
Miyako had attended the Extreme concert and went back stage to meet Bettencourt and told him that she was playing the same venue a few days later at the weekend..
Were you sitting close to the far left wall of the concert? I saw them sneak over to the far wall under the flag during "We the United" Miyako initiated it Midori followed then Fami joined in, Asami let out a small laugh while trying to sing near the end of the song. So I thought they may have gone to see Nuno.

There are quite a few really good guitarists in Japan... Among the females, Saki (x-nemophila) and her former bandmate Hazuki, Kanami (Band-Maid. great riff master, composer. Gets overlooked because she doesn't shred that much, because she does stuff that suits the song) Li-sa-X (Who'd Marty Friedman and Paul Gilbert etc as teachers). Among the males the original Kami-Band (BabyMetal) was really good, Ryo (Galneryus)... What makes M&M this good, is them making each other good. They got good individual composed solos, but good trade-offs and harmonisations. Some modern times Smith/Murray and Tipton/Downing.
jesus christ. That was all lovely, but that tiny woman on the elevated platform in the back and the one who has the shining fingers, they took this one loud and clear. Those double kicks and that bass growling, that is the shit legends are made out of.

@@I-MAC Cool, I just started checking them out about 3 months ago, My brother sent me some Japanese metal & rock band videos to check out. They are all really good bands, but Lovebites is more of a thing for me since I like a variety of Metal. They are like a female version of Iced Earth in a way but they have more of a Iron Maiden vibe that is fresh and new to me. I have not heard a bad song from them even the slower tempo songs are sweet. Enjoy! 🍻
What an awesome performance! The sound mix must be the most perfect I've heard from a Lovebites live recording so far. I mean, I'm used hearing to Midori's and Miyako's superb guitar works quite clearly as well as Haruna's world class drumming. Asami's powerful voice always stands out, of course. But man, what thrills me in this mix is how well you can hear the BASS! That definitely gives Fami's stupendous skill the attention it deserves!

The drumming and the bass line in lovebites always caught my attention since the first time i heard their music... Yes the guitar are interstellar can't argue with that but the ability of haruna and miho (and now fami) to be able to keep the whole in a pocket is always impressed me more... Haruna doesn't just play, she's singing with her drum, her drumming is 😗👌especially her cymbal works oh i can't get over from it
Absolute agreement... I'm a guitarist (with no hope of approaching the talent of these women, LOL) but yeah, I completely recognize that Haruna is the mighty engine which powers the entire group. She's insanely good.
Jeez, after watching this video at least two dozen times already I still can't get over the awesomeness of it. After being overwhelmed by the sheer power the first couple of times the details become increasingly intriguing. E.g. at 3:14 - 3:26, where Miyakosan is still playing a solo and Midorisan is playing a lead underneath instead of just chords - that's what it seems like to my, anyways. I don't think it's still an actual double solo in this section. Like, who the heck needs rhythm if you have two lead guitarists of this caliber, plus a drummer and bassist with the momentum of a freight train? So cool!
The remix is so much better than the livestream sound! Especially for the drums (double kick drum is perfect now) but everything is clearer. It will be another important testimony of Lovebites talent, recorded for the generations to come.

I listen to this song from Love bites and I'm reminded of just how fantastic they are as a group and as individual musicians. I just spent a couple of days listening to the female rock trio from Mexico, called "The Warning." A lot of hype and comments of how good they are. They make good old time rock-'n'-roll, but I could never compare their level of musical skills to what I hear routinely from Love Bites. They aren't even in the same class IMO. The increased difficulty, sophistication and musicianship of what Love Bites puts out is at an elite level.
If I listen to this with my eyes closed I can't help but imagine that Lovebites must have an octopus for a drummer. Then I open my eyes and see pretty Haruna behind her drumkit and wonder where she is hiding those extra four arms and legs...
How the hell do you do it, ladies? Your performances are always so clean and precise. This is amazing! I frankly have never seen a band deliver live performances half as gracefully as you girls do. Much love from Canada!

メロディアスな曲が増えた気もするから、ギラギラのリフのスラッシュメタルと、Famiさんのスラップとタッピングが目立つNuMetalみたいな曲も見たいな。
アルバムの1曲目、ライブでのオープニング曲。何かの始まりを予感させるファンファーレ的なイントロからギターリフへ、そしてCome on Tokyo! の掛け声と共にインテンポになる所で鳥肌が立ったことを思い出しました。いつ聴いても名曲ですね。素晴らしい！
海外のファンも含めて今回のビデオ、ミックス最高❗️って声が多いです^ ^
特にfamiのセンス良いベースラインがよく聞こえる♪

去年のこの人見講堂のコンサートに行ってきました。ステージサイドにあるSEスピーカーにすべての音が集約されてて、さらにその音がめちゃめちゃ大きくて何をやってるのかわかりづらかったから、Blu-rayの発売が楽しみです。次の日も耳鳴りしてました。でも、コンサートはめちゃくちゃ最高でした❗今年もガーデンシアター行きます！😊

The drumming and the bass line in lovebites always caught my attention since the first time i heard their music... Yes the guitar are interstellar can't argue with that but the ability of haruna and miho (and now fami) to be able to keep the whole in a pocket is always impressed me more... Haruna doesn't just play, she's singing with her drum, her drumming is 😗👌especially her cymbal works oh i can't get over from it
Absolute agreement... I'm a guitarist (with no hope of approaching the talent of these women, LOL) but yeah, I completely recognize that Haruna is the mighty engine which powers the entire group. She's insanely good.

Jeez, after watching this video at least two dozen times already I still can't get over the awesomeness of it. After being overwhelmed by the sheer power the first couple of times the details become increasingly intriguing. E.g. at 3:14 - 3:26, where Miyakosan is still playing a solo and Midorisan is playing a lead underneath instead of just chords - that's what it seems like to my, anyways. I don't think it's still an actual double solo in this section. Like, who the heck needs rhythm if you have two lead guitarists of this caliber, plus a drummer and bassist with the momentum of a freight train? So cool!
that section feels to me like a call/answer, Miyako plays and Midori responds, repeated a few times 👍
The remix is so much better than the livestream sound! Especially for the drums (double kick drum is perfect now) but everything is clearer. It will be another important testimony of Lovebites talent, recorded for the generations to come.

I love the sound of Fami's bass in this video. It sounds higher in the mix than past videos. It makes the song seem heavier, which is great.

I listen to this song from Love bites and I'm reminded of just how fantastic they are as a group and as individual musicians. I just spent a couple of days listening to the female rock trio from Mexico, called "The Warning." A lot of hype and comments of how good they are. They make good old time rock-'n'-roll, but I could never compare their level of musical skills to what I hear routinely from Love Bites. They aren't even in the same class IMO. The increased difficulty, sophistication and musicianship of what Love Bites puts out is at an elite level.
