Greetings. Thanks for the conducted tour. Great for a short holiday - if you can afford the rent, which would be out of my reach, being a UK Pensioner - but not for long-term living. I've lived in 'Bedsits' before, for far too many years and they are too claustrophobic for me. I would love to be able to spend the Winter's in Gib, to get away from the constant wind and rain of Blighty, but not at that price. Not that many years ago, I had 'In-laws' there, but they have now passed away, so can no longer give me house-room. Shame really, but that's Life. Cheers, Russ. UK.
Thanks for the comment as always Russ. I couldnt afford it long term if I was alone. Absolutely impossible, the wage v rising cost of living here is not catching up quick enough. Aww thats a shame, I guess La Linea is always the more affordable option and the border isnt too messy atm. Appriciate the comment as always Russ!
E1 located on Devils Tower Road, without doubt the windiest road, and now noisest road in the whole of Gibraltar as all traffic goes through there for the airport tunnel. There are much nicer areas available in Gibraltar for similar rental money, all hugely overpriced for what you get. A word of advice to anyone looking to move to Gibraltar. Property to buy or to rent is on a par with London prices. Unfortunately salaries are derisory with minimum wage set at £8.60 an hour. Most jobs are at this level and typically will go to local Gibraltarian or Spanish friends and family. Also it is now a requirement if intending to move to Gibraltar you must either be self employed or employed to have residency here. The self sufficiency option on the immigration form available is no longer valid, due I'm told to "brexit negotiations". The only other options are CAT 2 which requires assets of at least £2 million, or a UK state pensioner status.
Thanks for the comment Lee. Very important and correct points you make there. I agree completely with you. I am defos in the group of people. Ive been leaving here legally for years yet getting a residents card is proving impossible. Good advise mate.
Hey I been watching you content and it great! Be awesome to see cost of living in Gib and more property and hotels review? I might be moving from the UK to Gib this year.
Hello Mr. Dynamic Media. Thank you so much! Are you thinking of moving over? Fair play. Defos one of the best decisions I've ever made. You have given me some good ideas, I do want to do a hotel review series. I am in the planning stage atm. Thanks for the comment!
@@theofficalGibTV Your welcome! Yes I lived in Marbella for a year a long time ago, but now we are out of the EU its hard, so I might just move to Gib to get around that problem. Wow looks amazing but pricey, wouldn’t mind a couple of weeks holiday there xxx
It is a nice place! You can easily find apartments in E1 on airbnb or other property websites. Probs be cheaper out of season.
