5 gallons of salvage fuel. The build is already paying for itself! Best way of disposal, is just burning it in the trusty Pontiac. I'm sure it doesn't mind. Love the channel, cheers from the Netherlands.
I never thought anyone would watch either. Had I known I would have recorded the work I did 25 years ago. That was much more impressive compared to this easy stuff. I’m too old, and maybe wise to work like that anymore. 😂
It could be argued that Scott already has a Mustang emporium. It's too bad the supervisor won't get on his ass to finish the Custom Coyote Classic. Feel free to steal the name. lol
I did the same, with the gas that smelled like turpentine form my Toyota Motorhome's auxiliary tank. I strained it through cheese cloth and mixed it into my Isuzu's tank. It ran fine.
Well you certainly know how to choose quality. Seriously. By the late 80's and early 90's, Ford had largely sorted out the aging Fox Body Mustang. With a fourteen year production run, it had one of the longest production runs of any American passenger car.
There's a lot of sheet metal parts in the back end. I hope you have a great memory for reassembly. I'd be spending lot of time taking pictures and numbering them so I'd know how this vehicle goes back together. Oh ya. You're just "recycling" the gas and "purposing" it in the red car! Simple! On to the next video. "It's gonna be Great!"
A friend in highschool had a 88 gt. Black with a red stripe. He destroyed the transmission. 25 years ago. Pretty sure its still on blocks in barn. Weird how life treats ya.
Believe it or not, I pulled trim off my Impala to replace and I used peanut butter to remove the old tape from the molding. I spread it on and let it set overnight and it came off easily.
Nice job. Not sure about the new guy with B*tch mittens. Mr Spotty needs to step away from the spray cans & pay attention to his job. Looking forward to the next one going back together. I think it will be better than Ford did.
I know it's a triple black convertible, but geeze that's alot of effort!, when it comes to Fox bodies, as far as I'm concerned the holy grail is a 92 LX coupe, 5.0 , (stick of course) red over black!, definitely not a convertible fan!
It is, with an L98 and 700R4 out of an 86 Vette. I built it 30 years ago. I’ll finish it someday but I bet it will start right up after sitting for 10 years.
@@citizaniac149I did see another car back there. But I thought it was a car I saw a few years ago. It looked kinda like a Fairmont wagon. I wonder what significance that car had??
The parts car didn't seem to have must rust for an Illinois car. Was it a foreigner? II think a Scott's Mustang Emporium is a great idea. Come out of the closet and embrace your inner Ford lover!
I know safety is for wusses, but takin those moldings off with the putty knife, all i could see happening was exactly what almost did and the knife skipping through the end bit and nearly slicing into the nice meaty 15 stitches to close part of your hand...eeek!

.....Mr. Spotty has gone wild ever sence the fire. Great video Scott.

You're inspiring me to actually work on my two 1987 GT T-top cars!
Get to work, when I run out of motivation, I’m coming to you! 😂
I am really look forward to the reassembly, keep up the great work Scott.
It's not being "cheap" Scott. It's "thrifty"!

& most importantly, good for the environment just to use it!!!
Cheap, thrifty, frugal, whatever! Free gas is free gas! 😂
Cost effective

Hey Scott this video answered my question . You still have the parts car . Great Scottie !
Thanks for the video Scott.
Damn, it's Friday night and I was watching the whole episode through "Mr Spotty Cam". Cheers😂!
Mr. Spotty has a habit that keeps him from showing up except on paydays.
Looking good 👍 hope your back holds up moving that stuff around. Remember, knees straight, back bent, and lift in a sharp, jerking motion 😎
The land of old parts and rust!
I remember a job I had where I spent most of the day drilling out spot welds, had 3 drills as they would get really hot after a while
That is why I use electric, my compressor can’t keep up. 😂
Make sure you do the safety squint when you do metal drilling

Same to you! You got beat by the bots and some real people this week! 😂
@vehcor yeah I was ready but then forgot.🤣
Is Mr Spotty hanging out with Towlie?
Scott, how dare you clone a GT with LX parts !! 😂 Greta, we are saving the planet. While not compromising on style!!
4 cylinder LX no less! 😂
HEY! Good afternoon Scott!
Good afternoon, or evening rather. I’ve been busy slacking! 😂
Hooray! I was worried we wouldn’t get a “Bitch Mittens” reference. You should sell those, I’d buy some.
Dilution and use is the best way to get rid of old gas. Either in a beater car or the lawn mower.
My other beater car is a lawnmower! 😂

@vehcor I hope you are a great weekend!
You too!
The carburetated 318 in my Dodge pickup loves recycled fuel. I use pantyhose to strain my fluids. Just don't ask me where they came from.
Believe it or not, I pulled trim off my Impala to replace and I used peanut butter to remove the old tape from the molding. I spread it on and let it set overnight and it came off easily.
it's all that peanut oil in the peanut butter. Perfect solution and the mice will love you.
You left out the most important detail, how did the moulding taste with the peanut butter? 😂
If you watch Menace to Society, Scott was the guy selling Kane the Mustang, he had hair back then. lol

you got to have the drilling face.
But Scott, at Ford, "quality" is job one ... which one I don't know, but one of them. I think it gets forgotten, though.

9mm for real? Think I never used that 9mm in my set. Ever
They also like to use the 7mm hex bit on the brakes. The one that does NOT come in any set...
For decided since they paid for the entire set of sockets, they are going to use the entire set of sockets! 😂
@@vehcor I never use the 16mm either hardly.. I found 2 bolts on my Old Chevy that were 16. The transmission mount and the belt tensioner

How do you get the double sided tape residue off of the back of the moldings? Charles
