    Love Stacey! Her movements are are very deliberate and slow making it very easy to mimic. She seems to also be a very beautiful being. Thank you so much Tim and Stacey for helping to get me through the day 💜💜

    This couldn't have come at a better time! I had never in my life had any trouble with my back, then two weeks ago at work, BAM, a herniated disk... wow that hurts. The Dr. perscribed a week of complete rest and Motrin. I've come off a week of complete rest, and have been seeing an acupuncturist, which has been a great help, but I had been wondering about a way back into Yoga. Of course I'll be taking it easy, and listing to my body. Thanks for all you do Tim, I don't know if you really realize the difference you've made in people's lives.

    I really liked the progression of movement. The way you guide me through activating the core with movement of each arm and leg both in table and supine was particularly helpful for me. This wasn't too much or too little, so it will be a great video to share with my clients. Thanks!!

    I totally agree with you about walking - it was a crucial part of my back recovery and I now walk for maintenance regularly. I also practice yoga daily too. I love your precision with your yoga teaching and found this little class really good (I'm also part way through your recent yoga challenge). I'm just curious what your thoughts are with regards to yin yoga?

    That was entirely appropriate. Curiously enough, when my back was bothersome, I tried some of those, what I call: Timasanas(!) and it seems as if I was on the right track. By the way, do you remember the brief You Tube film you and Ollie watched on my recommendation? I’ve thought of a title for that: the Downward Dog.

    • @yogawithtim

    This sequence has helped me so much in the past with my lower back - thank you Tim! I'm now having problems with my middle/upper back, and was wondering you'd recommend it for those issues as well (nothing real specific that I'm aware of - just pain and tightness in the middle & upper back, which is also affecting my pectoral muscles - those are tight at times as well and occasionally quite painful).

    • @yogawithtim
      @yogawithtim  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, this video along with other videos I have posted on my channel that cater to back pain should definitely help that. I would also recommend active mobility exercises for the spine and the areas surrounding. I have mobility exercises up as well, mostly on the conscious movement community which you can access via my website yogawithtim.com - you get to try your first 2 weeks free as well just to try out first to see if you like it!

  • @tangent94

    Will try and o incorporate regular exercises like this and avoid shifting fish tanks without a warm up.

    I just hurt my back 2 weeks ago. I was scooping snow and right after...the next day i couldnt get out of my bed. I tried to do something for my pain taking pills...but I knew that my relive was for a moment. the pain came back. so this is the 3rd week since that day and I still feel sick. Also my stomach feels different, i think there's something wrong with it. I feel so bad, and your video is giving me the hope I need, knowing that I need to be patient with my body. thank you !!

    Thanks for discouraging the use of NSAIDS- not only do they mess with the gut, but long term use can cause kidney failure, ulcers, and can exacerbate high blood pressure. Bad!
    Great video Tim, Stacy and Ollie!

      Not Tim, but I face the same problem at my workplace. Assuming you have a decent chair (supports you correctly) and the computer is set right, we also have a required 5-10 minute break, every hour. You are expected to get up and walk somewhere, if only to the cooler! I go upstairs (2 at a time, mindfully, it gets the knees, ankles and hips warmed up) to the landing there, and do a mini-yoga thing (tadasana, mountain pose; then leg stretches, Warriors 1 and 2, neck bending and rotation - that sort of thing). Every hour. As my swim instructor once commented, don't do a lot a little. Do a little, a lot!

    Thank you for this, Tim! I'm taking it easy on this Hump 🐫 Day (12/15/21@3:40pmET). I totally agree about the anti-inflammatory OTC products. I commonly use turmeric in my rice, so I get what I want and need twice -- yellow rice and the benefit of the turmeric. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Have I told you lately? -- YOU ARE JUST GREATNESS! 😊❤👏 ~~LOL~~have a great day, Tim! Namaste...........🙏🏾🙏🏾

    You talk about walking more, but have you heard of walking too much causing problems? Currently for my job I have been walking anywhere from 20-30 miles a week and in the last week I have started experiencing extreme tightness in my low back. I have been working through your 30 days of yoga videos but I am thinking I need to cut back to things like this video until I start to feel better.
