@@rsmyth75 I say St Gertrude’s prayer for the souls in Purgatory. Jesus told her each time she would say that prayer, 1000 souls will be released from that purification. I should say it more, but my mind forgets, sad to say. Many years ago thru Mary and Jesus I have offered anything good I accrue to those suffering souls. Dear GOD : Pardon and Mercy 🙏🙏🙏
When was the last time you heard a Bishop or your parish priest even mention the first five Saturdays or nine first Fridays? Or the brown scapular? You have to seek it out yourself and find priests like this one .

Days before her death she shared a dream she experienced where her deceased parents and husband awaited her with flowers. Her daughter dreamt the same thing before hearing her dream.
I just came across this post but I have to say that I totally agree with you Richard Neagle. I am 58 years old and it took this pandemic to show me that I knew almost nothing about the Catholic faith. Thanks to Father Chris Alar, Father James Altman, Father Richard Heilman, Ralph Martin to name just a few I have learned so much more about our faith in the past year than I did regularly attending Mass since I became Catholic ten years ago! PRAISE BE TO THE FATHER,SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT!

Going start first Friday and first Saturday devotion from next month that is OCTOBER onwards, which is the month of my birth.thank you Fr Chris for bringing so much light and clarity on this topic. I used to attend first Friday adoration and first Saturday online Bible convention without knowing all these details.

The sacrifice of not getting rest for yourself has bore fruit in my soul to understand devotion to the Sacred Heart and Divine Mercy. This has cleared the way for me to understand even more what God wants from me (us). I did the 9 fridays and 5 saturdays for 18 consecutive months 17 yrs ago. That means 2x9 fridays and 3x5 saturdays. Of course i really wanted to obtain the promise, but i remember i was so eager to give some love and relief to Jesus and Mary. I did not understand how or why, but the fact that Jesus and Mary were so pleased by these devotions was enough. I remember making them my top priority and go out of my league to not miss a single one. I also remember that so many things came up to try to stop me. I remember working on fridays, and have to rush to find a church with a late mass, to confess and take the Eucharist! God bless!

@@Robert-cz9cv and when you have completed it, then the doubts will come. Did i do everything right? Was i sincere in that confession? Did i spend enough time meditating the Rosary? Etc etc i still have the temptation to doubt as you can see! But it's the devil trying to ruin it. Whatever happens happens, i just believe that this good thing we do for Jesus and Mary will outweigh all the evil we did.

Thank you very much for delivering such a phenomenally exemplary talk about The First Fridays and First Saturdays. It made me rush out to the Saturday Mass, when I had only considered attending on Friday and Sunday.
I watched your Special Prayer Intention for Friday with Brother Jason and was most pleasantly astonished by the very great beauty of all aspects of the Mass and your most loving spiritual endurance for God. It was of no surprise that after this most holy (and exceedingly busy) weekend, the ecstatic revelation shone forth from you to us, on only an hour's sleep. Please accept my very deep gratitude for all of the sacrifices which you make to God and for His people in order to provide us with the highest level of insight flowing from a profound depth of knowledge.
I wholeheartedly agree with your critical analysis of the lackadaisical attitude of the overwhelming majority of Roman Catholics (myself included). We have been complacent with ourselves and accepted all of the great blessings, graces, sacraments and sacramentals bestowed upon us by our most-loving and tremendously generous God and not ensuring that with our great power (in our submission to Our Lord and Mother Mary), comes ever greater responsibility for the world.
It is perhaps or more probably perhaps not a blessing, that we have not faced more criticism from other global ambassadors. The Japanese know that rules are to be obeyed, (with the exceptions, which are against God) especially when they are delivered on behalf of God from our most beautiful and beloved Mother Mary. Praise God 🙏
If there was a rallying cry for all of the Roman Catholics spread across the face of the Earth to make the First Fridays & First Saturdays for the 9 and 5 months respectively in conjunction with the fairly simple conditions attached through The Pope instituting them as Holydays of Obligation, then logic dictates that this would expedite the healing of both Our Lord Jesus' Sacred Heart and Our Mother Mary's Immaculate Heart.
Please forgive my elaborations and extrapolations. I am by no means a theologian, only a mere student: however, in this highly critical situation, The Pope needs to consider the most systematically effective globally-coordinated effort to repay humanity's debt to our most-loving God in the most efficiently-targeted manner.
Your talks are "A Light in the darkness" and are greatly enjoyed by my friends also.

Here in Australia, started this Jan 1 and 2, and 3 first Sunday. Let's pray for each other that we can do this not just 5 or 9 months but the whole year.

I am watching this in May 2022. Pope Francis, moved by the war in Ukraine, has recently consecrated Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, in a moving ceremony on March 25. For all his faults, as he is a sinner like all of us, it looks like he "did it correctly". After praying with the Holy Father that day (watching it on TV) I was moved to encourage First Saturdays in our own local parish and we will be starting soon. A neighboring parish already does the First Fridays. This video is wonderful and gives us all the info we need, thank you Fr Chris! Got our marching orders!!

I AM PRAYING FOR THE CONVERSION OF MY SON, MY DAUGHTER, MY HUSBAND AND THE REST OF MY FAMILY, FRIENDS AND COWORKERS. They all claimed to be Christians and some of them are even Catholics but they approved the killings of unborn innocent babies and same sex marriage. God give me the patience to deal with them because I am completely the opposite of them. Abba have pity and mercy on them. Thank yuo so much Father Alar. Thank God that I was able to go to Mass yesterday. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.

Please be advised that I used to do my First Friday Devotion at our Lady of Grace Shrine MaryLake Ontario, St Augustine Monastery. Starting at 8:00PM; and finished with a Holy Catholic Mass at 6:00AM the next day Saturday on Friday evening; Sacrament of reconciliation and Penance at 10:30PM and finished with a Holy Catholic Mass at 6:00AM the next day Saturday.
Since Covid-19, the St Augustine Monastery closed the door for the event and the Group moved to the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church which is further North away.
Thanks to the Almighty Living God the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit for Father Chris Alar of Divine Mercy Stockbridge Massachusetts USA that I can join the First Friday and even First Saturday Devotions as a Marion Helper in 2020. Thanks be to God. Praise to You Lord Jesus Christ. May God bless Father Chris Alar abundantly and Protect him for His Vision and Mission as a Good and faithful servant of God.
