Some people say "well i'm fine with trans people as long as you're not trans" and others hate trans people until someone in their life is trans. And a narc will never out themselves publicly as the problem but will get others to do it just fine. Thus "I cant speak for your father" and "He is a real hot head that's quick with his emotions" are just her setting up that foregone ending while still playing the "I never kicked you out... @Anthony-lb2nj the only signs of narcissism I saw were actually from the daughter. She basically was afraid she'd be kicked out for being pregnant. The only thing the mom wanted to know were her plans. She brought her mom there to say in front of the world that she wasn't going to be kicked out. Now she is her boyfriends responsibility & I don't feel its right to accuse someone of something that I haven't seen myself.

I have to give the boyfriend credit. He came on with a very calm, relaxed and open attitude, despite what he already had heard and overheard about the mom. Hopefully he will be able to remain calm, as I have a feeling he will be fighting an uphill battle, especially when the dad finds out. If he can not react to the bs he's likely to deal with and bite his tongue, hopefully this won't turn into the dumpster fire it looks like is ready to ignite. Not saying he should HAVE to, but there's a slight chance the grandparents to-be might soften and rethink things a bit once they meet their grandson. The mom to-be could try to be a little more open with her mom, too. It's worth a try. Good luck to this couple, they're going to need it!

Yes it’s hard to be mixed with BOTH sides of the family and everyone outside the door of your house. After 40 years of being raised mixed, the story that stands out to me most is this!
My grandmother had the absolute best reaction to learning her first grandchild born in 1980 would be half black. It was started as a serious discussion about the baby and she almost passed out because she assumed unhealthy. When she learned about the race she said she didn’t care if he popped out green- he’s hers! She then proceeded to soothe my mother bc no one knew what mixed children looked like back then When mom went into labor, my grandmother, 3 hours away just said I’m on my way and hung up. She was there two hours later-went straight to old my oldest brother and never let him go…and then she got me and made room. Even at the end with her dementia, she could only recognize my brother. It was a true love story.

I don't understand why that woman needs to be living with her parents. She's an adult.
If I were that girl's mother, I'd be pissed as hell that my daughter brought me on national tv to talk shit about me, and then want assurance that she can continue to live in my house.

We have to stop this. You cant help who you love but i would never have a baby with anyone knowing his/her family is racist. The child will suffer the most.

Man, I really hear the hatred in the mother's voice. I can see it in her eyes.

My theory is that as soon as they get home and get behind closed doors it will be an issue, the mother is just putting on an act because she's on camera and in front of other people, she's not going to show her true colors until they get home

I don't care who my son dates. As long as the person treats him with love, and respect, that's all that matters to me.

my 21 year old is dating a white woman which i don't have a issue with. As long as he's happy and she treats him good I have no issue with it. Love has NO COLOR
