Yep. Girls learn how a man is supposed to treat them from their fathers. I’m don’t remember when this originally aired so I don’t know how old his daughter is now. And if his girlfriend didn’t leave him, there’s too high of a chance that she’s no longer with us. He has literally doomed his daughter.

When she started crying begging for Steve’s help I knew. Anyone can be in this situation. Most times woman need a solid reason to leave a man and typically relationships end because of cheating. She prayed he would cheat so that the blame could be on him enough for her to leave. Unfortunately sometimes a slap in the face does nothing but wake them up internally. They want to leave but are scared of the consequences that an abuser can give to them. I’m glad he did this because she needed the push to leave. Proud of her and hope she knows we’re praying for her 🤍
Stupid women maybe. Especially when children are involved you do t have that right. It’s child abuse to allow abuse in the home where you’re supposed to be making sure they feel secure and protected and safe, YOU become an abuser. Beautifully said. I was always hot headed and stood up for myself but I got in a 7 year long relationship with a psycho hit me ignored me verbally abusive the second I had proof of cheating I was able to let go. For awhile I felt pathetic but realized I was manipulated and young. Best advice I can give is if EVERYONE around you doesn’t like who you are with there is a reason and you need to listen.
Yes! This broke my heart. I wish more women and men were strong enough to leave after that first time! Shits hard unless you’ve been there.
Girl yes. I was stalked and abused for over 12 years by a man who eventually tried to murder me... and ultimately barricaded himself inside my house and killed himself. People who say "Just leave" literally do not know wtf they're talking about. Even police told me if I'd done anything different, I'd probably be dead. Sometimes walking away is no different than walking off a cliff. It can make things way worse when you're dealing with someone who is completely unhinged, irrational, and obsessed.
Make sure your shit is in order before you walk away. I'm sorry you had to go through that but it's simply good advice to tell people they need to get away from abusers. Not every situation is the same but the solution is always to get away

No man is worth it. It's disturbing that she found having to have eye surgery was not a big red flag for her to leave. She was more concerned about the cheating. The man beat her up in front of his family. This man has no respect for no woman and not even his mother. She appears volatile as well.

My sister was in a very abusive relationship for years and it was horrible. She lost everything. Her kids, her jobs, her home, her car, couldnt have any money because hed steal it, hed take her phones and everything else. He'd beat her so bad and thats when shed come home but then he would text and say he was sorry and then she would leave again everytime. She finally got tired of it and moved to North Dakota with my parents when they moved out there and now she is doing so much better but she still has PTSD from the relationship and wakes up screaming and sweating. Says she dreams hes chasing her and shit still. Its sad. The whole family hurt and stayed scared waiting for a phone call that he had killed her. So thankful she finally got away.

How the hell she loves him. I was in an abusive relationship for six months. I know the game. Everytime he hit me love died the last time I went straight to a lawyer. He stalked me, I didn’t care, I still didn’t go back.

Look! Back when I was married, me & my wife got in to a scuffle. She hit me and without even thinking, I punched her on the side of the head. After what I did, I wanted to console her but she told me to stay away. I walked away but I was pissed at me. I was mad cause before we started hitting, I didn't walk away and I should of, but I didn't. I was so disgusted with myself for hitting her and I still never forgave myself for what happened that day. I don't care what a woman does or say to you, that gives you no right to hit a woman. I don't care if she hits you, you do not EVER hit a woman.

I don't believe she likes the monster. I believe she is broken inside. Her self esteem and respect for herself were at a all time low. She even admitted her family isn't there for her. Therefore, she gravitated to someone who showed her some kindness; even if it comes with disrespect and violence. I cannot imagine how she stayed after he hit her and she needed surgery. Well you have obviously never been in a really really badly abusive relationship, because leaving an abuser is easier said than done. Been there, done that. I was with an abusive alcoholic for two years and it took me a LONG time to escape him. It took me getting evicted and losing my HUD housing to leave him (Neighbors heard us arguing and knew my landlord, so they snitched) and it wasn't no quick process, so don't judge unless you know how it feels. You apparently are oblivious to the fact that you can't just walk away from an abuser THAT BAD. I know a woman whose daughter was with an abusive man. Her daughter left him, but then begged her to meet at his apartment to talk it out and begged her for another chance, promising not to abuse her again. She got to the apartment, his charm obviously worked, because she got sucked back in. She gets there, goes in, they start arguing because she made it clear that she was done. Well, he couldn't take "no" for an answer, so he shot and killed her. They were only in their early twenties. So, no, you can't just leave when you want. "So many women stay" well they don't stay because they WANT to stay, DUHHHH use your brain, lady. Geez.
