We do the same thing with a tent when the sun is out!!! We have found it is almost impossible to keep organized like this when we get our firewood for free many times during the season. But it looks great!
Those pop up canopies came in real handy during set up of professional fireworks shows. By definition, shoot sites have no shade, and LOTS of heavy lifting is involved. Till someone got the great idea to bring these, we'd just be working out there getting sunburnt, and our brains baked. They are Godsends- heat exhaustion is no joke!
HI THERE good idea on the canopy . we use one a lot when cutting at a friends place . i comented to Andrew at easter made that they need like a big beach umbrella on all there wood splitters . never said anything back , lots of good work there john
By the end of the day on June 19th I'll be finished for sure with the splitting and stacking of the truckload of logs I've been working on. Need to get me some more ash. I love it for campfires.
Hello Mr. Brad, You are a lucky man, not only do you get help, but pretty women help, every man should be so lucky, the yard looks really good at this point, but a pretty yard means it is not running at full capability, you need more logs!!! ''Liquid Gold'' I bought some yesterday, ouch was all I could say as the numbers rose about as fast as my blood pressure.
It feels good to get almost caught up, then more loads come! We are in the same position. Biggest game changer for was was an elevator behind the splitter. No more throwing the pieces that extra time.
My bundle stand has really taken off and I've also been delivering alot of ash and yeah I agree you have a good amount of ash I love ash split and sell it don't stick around long at my house
Helping hands in the wood yard is a great thing. Todd, it’s not easy keeping up with the utes. A very good video - I bought a pop-up canopy but it’s too much for me on my own to put up, so I have a new plan for my shade - enjoy the journey - cheers
I split and stacked 6fc of oak yesterday ,all thrown into the dumptrailer. I just leave one door side closed as I stack and raise the dumptrailer as I stack so it not all on the ground. Everything is within 8ft of where I'm stacking. 30fc of oak left to split. October is closer than we realize
I just put up a bundle only stand as well. Located it at my brothers cottage teaming up with my nephew. I put a similar sign on it, one difference I kept my pricing on separate signs so I can adjust pricing as needed while keeping my main sign. Keep up the good work.
From the begining to end a great video!!!! Ive heard people talking about just relaxing in "retirement" but you seem to have taken the bull by the horns and went for broke on keeping yourself busy. I appreciate all the additions to make it easier on yourself and more streamlined of work. More hands make light work and you just keep chuggin along!!! Hello reagan, welcome! Brad keep up the great content and progress
I have been behind on videos with my recent travel. This was very well done! I was telling a few people that I must think like you based on how many times we are thinking of similar topics. Guess what I bought about 2 weeks ago? Yep, one of those pop up tents! 😂 FYI I am thinking of going to the New York Woodsman Show in August if you are interested.
Morning brad i no how you feel with the fuel prices they have gone crazy over here in england one pound eighty five pence and its not going down it just keeps going up and up good to see you have cut up all the logs it looks clean and tidyanyway brad untill next time keep safe.
It's an endless cycle, isn't it? You get caught up on the splitting and stacking- then get more wood! But Wait!! This pile and that pile, are getting close to being dry, and need to be resplit (for bundles, or for grill use), and a new home found for it- so there's room to stack the new wood. I was all set to just enjoy the fruits of all that labor, and whittle away at those piles of silver maple logs a little at a time- when I discovered not one, but TWO stashes of sugar maple, free for the taking, in my usual go to spots! One is an additional 2-3 HUGE chunks of the 2+yr old stuff I uncovered, the other was a dead/dying tree maintenance cut up and set aside for me out back. Some is VERY dead, some is greenish- and all of it is in the 6-8" or less size we all love. So it's hurry up and get it before it gets buried under mounds of chips, brush, and bags of yard waste- or pushed into the woods. Back to cutting and splitting, lol. My lil 16" chainsaw and I had to get a bit creative to cut up the 24"+ stump/crotch piece. (yard tree, so it forked out only a few feet off the ground) Interesting way to split, using a sledge and wedge on a horizontal log- to knock off enough wood so I could finish the cut. This one is spalted, and just starting to get a bit punky in spots, but that's fine- it's just campfirewood for me. And then there are those Honey Locust chunks calling my name...
Glad you’re out of the sun! I was a fishing guide for 15 yrs. Used sunscreen several times each day, but now I go to the dermatologist every 6 months for hm to remove skin cancers…not fun! Several had to be biopsies and were not good news. Be careful to protect yourself.
Bro, I split last week in the crazy heat in SOMD and it really felt great. Yeah winter splitting is cool but I felt ALIVE out there sweating. I think its just cuz I like splitting.
Brad it shows #82 and also shows 8 months still have a nice couple rows going but with that new eastonmade would make life easier but we all have to start somewhere?
$7.00 per bundle…. Nice! Stand looks great. Glad you spruced it up (pun intended). The road in the background looks pretty busy. Those are some nice looking Ash rounds.
Is your self serve stand going to be just for customers who call you but you’re not able to deliver or meet them? Not going to be for random people to stop by? The more you do this you’ll find more efficient ways to process the firewood. Darin has a canopy at his splitter. Good stickers on the County Line.
Stacked wood like yours looks nice. I like Ash. it burns very quietly. Where did you get that side metal arm for the wood-splitter? It is nice. It is definitely a game changer because it saves your back. Thank you.
ive burnt oak and hickory for 35 years as only heat in NC. recently felled a good size ash but dot know if ive ever burnt it. I understand its decent anyways
Awesome video!!!! We have a pop-up canopy it helps a lot. My wife and mother-in-law helps me split and stack wood. Having help is a game changer. How big is your trailer???
Hey there, Brad. The yard looks great and that cold one is well deserved. How long are your firewood racks? Looks like 2 halves on the end with a full pallet in the center. Would double stacking in a row give you a full cord or half? Thanks. Keep doing the great vids.
It’s a great splitter for the money. The cycle time is not as fast as other big name and big price splitters but the adjustable 4 way wedge, log lift, and auto cycle are great features.
@@FirewoodattheFurnace thanks for the info, it’s a ramsplitter I assumed. Have a lot of dead standing oak in my yard in Massachusetts. To much work for my MTD.
RIGHTEOUS DAY'S WORK, YOU ALWAYS GET BY WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM YOUR FRIENDS ( FAMILY )... WOW 80* THAT DAY + HUMIDITY? GOOD MOVE BRINGIN' OUT THE E-Z UP. I GOT A REAL COOL 12X12 WITH VELCRO SIDE PANELS AT WORK WE USE AT THE CABIN. IT'S NUTZ HOW MANY FOLKS STOP AN ASK IF I WOULD SELL IT. ( THERE'S NOT A VERY WIDE SELECTION IN MEXICO. ) MOST USUALLY MAKE ONE OUT-A SCRAP METAL AND TARP, VERRY RESOURCEFUL FOLK. HAT'S OFF TO VAL, REAGAN, AND MOM I LOVE IT WHEN A PLAN COMES TOGETHER. ONE QUICK QUESTION BE FOR I GO, HAVE YOU EVER HAD " WOLCOTT " ??? THE REP. AT TOTAL WINE SAID IT'S THE BUFFALO TRACE DRINKERS GO-TO BRAND WHEN IT'S HARD TO FIND... I TRIED IT LAST NIGHT, IT'S KINDA SWEET WITH VANILLA NOTES... WELL STAY COOL & KEEP PUSHIN' ON BRAD... PEACE...
Haha hearing it cost you $70 to fill your fuel cans. I filled 3-5 gallon cans this summer here in Ontario Canada with Premium and it was $122. $2.06/ltr X 3.78 would equal 1 US gallon ($7.69/US gallon) So don’t feel bad your gas is still Way cheaper than ours
Good splitter for the price point but the customer service is horrible. Check out some of my more recent videos to see the struggles and why I’m now running an eastonmade
i'm not a native english speaker nor a grammar nazi but it's a public sign you have there at the beginning of the video and on the last row it should be "Smile .... you're on camera" as in you are, not "your" as in it belongs to you. I really apologise for correcting you but i'm guessing you're expecting a lot of people to see that sign an for sure someone will say something stupid about it
Looking good, 🚜🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
Brad you have the neatest wood yard in the good ole USA, I like it. Thanks for all your good videos. Take care.
Thank you! Appreciate it

That is awesome! Glad to hear it and I wish you all the best
Love it boss!!!!

Great teamwork with the wife, mom and niece. Nice setup with the canopy, every little bit helps. Wood 🪵 yard looking 🔥.

Thank you

Brad, love the firewood stand especially the signage. Great set-up you have, looks like you’re gaining on your inventory. Be safe!
Cool video enjoyed it! I just play with firewood but enjoy watching.
Great to have the extra splitter for backup! Hickory on da way!
The canopy is a game changer Brad. I have a 13 X 13 I use and it’s awesome when the heat is on.

How about 4th and 5th row???
4th row is full. No 5th row…. Yet
Hello ladies yall out workin the boy
Battery pack like from ECOFLOW battery system and a hanging power fan for those days of no wind and hot days.
Glad you’re out of the sun! I was a fishing guide for 15 yrs. Used sunscreen several times each day, but now I go to the dermatologist every 6 months for hm to remove skin cancers…not fun! Several had to be biopsies and were not good news. Be careful to protect yourself.
Oh wow thanks James for the feedback. Definitely something to think about

Good stickers on the County Line.
Yes for now just people who call that I know. I’m getting close to trying it at the roadside but not there yet
I use a industrial fan, oh yeah.
Brad the worst thing about supply is sometimes you run out of room. In my case I have not excepted any wood in 3 months except for mill logs
Yes constant planning to stay efficient. I have blocked myself out more than once putting logs in a bad spot
Brad my wood lot and my sawmill yard are side by side with a garden between .

The log lift came on the splitter. Definitely a big help

Ash dries quickly and burns hot. Not quite as long as oak but still a great choice
Awesome video!!!! We have a pop-up canopy it helps a lot. My wife and mother-in-law helps me split and stack wood. Having help is a game changer. How big is your trailer???
Trailer is 7x14
Hey there, Brad. The yard looks great and that cold one is well deserved. How long are your firewood racks? Looks like 2 halves on the end with a full pallet in the center. Would double stacking in a row give you a full cord or half? Thanks. Keep doing the great vids.
Each row is at least 80 feet. A couple are longer. 10-12 cord in each row
Got my 12x12 tent on sale at Walmart for $50 best thing I've bough for making those boring time consuming bundles
How do you like your splitter ?, looking to purchase one I am a home owner use only but looking to get a log lift without breaking the bank.
It’s a great splitter for the money. The cycle time is not as fast as other big name and big price splitters but the adjustable 4 way wedge, log lift, and auto cycle are great features.

Yes sir they were very helpful

Good splitter for the price point but the customer service is horrible. Check out some of my more recent videos to see the struggles and why I’m now running an eastonmade

Hi 👋 Regan (sp?). My niece absolutely refuses to be in my videos. A couple times she was in the background in a livestream.
Sorry i didn’t subscribe before,,, i thought i was,,,, I was watching. I swear. Lol.
Lol well welcome officially. Thank you

$4.75 here, I changed the saying.. Let Brandon Go.

Yes many people have told me about it. I missed it before I placed the order but didn’t want to spend the money to have it remade.
