It's very impressive how some of the Frontier skins seem to mask the monstrous face of the movie model. These guys were an easy pass for me before, now I think I'll find space for them.
I'm not the first to say this, but since they added in Pyroraptor and Therizinosaurus it'd be cool if feathers were added in as a genetic trait for the Velociraptors, Gallimimus, Compsognathus, Troodon, and some of the other small/medium and large-sized Theropod Dinosaurs
It would be nice if we could get a green male feathered version of the rex
I would love to see this as well but we do have to remember that with the feathers frontier brought in a completely new animation where the dinosaur shakes ro get the water off them in rain storms as well as grooming animations, so frontier would have to create animations for all the other dinosaurs to make them fit with the already feathered creatures. With these animations the game would also actually have to check to see if the dinosaur has feathers before doing the animation. Frontier would essentially have to create a completely new system to the game.

If there's another big behavior update, I'd really like to see ceratopsian herd behavior against predators. Much like with large savanna herbivores like wildebeest.

Honestly Frontier knocked the Pyro skins out of the park. I didn't really like how the movie pyro looked, but the swapped skin tones and patterning make this dinosaur look leagues better for me. Well done Frontier.
It also hides that over aggressive monstrous face it has in the movie.
I love how the raptor that’s hunting the humans looks very similar to a female cardinal! I can just imagine making a whole flock of cardinal-inspired pyros
@@GoodXylophone oh yeah I noticed that. It almost looks like frontier was given the movie model, but made stripes and stuff on the face to hide some of the wrinkles. If they did that intentionally, then I’m quite grateful
The Frontier patterns make the featherless parts of the body transition much more smoothly into the feathered parts, making the whole design way more aesthetically pleasing than what we got in the movie. This legitimately might be my new favorite small carnivore in the game
Pyroraptor opinion. The Frontier skins are indeed verydiverse and vibrant. They also feel really bird-like in nature, which is what we want for feathered Raptors. Extra points for having the humans nearly escape, but still gets caught. It really feels like an unique Raptor. Also, you forgot to show us the skins in the species viewer.
I was hoping that they would take advantage of the semi aquatic behavior shown in the movie and have it eat from the fish feeders, but the frontier skins almost make up for that.
I love how they act aggressive towards each other when feeding. Im happy they gave them their own unique animations and not re-used animations of other small carnivores.

i’ve noticed it recently but the motion blur in the game is really really good
The way it pretends to be uninterested or distracted until the guest starts trying to escape gives the pyro a hint of malice in its actions

At first I wasn’t too thrilled with the Pyroraptors design but honestly it has grown on me, especially with the better looking skins.
Though I’m not really satisfied with the movie Pyroraptor, these feel SO much better. They really feel like raptors to me.
The only criticisms I’ve got are the head, which is just kinda ugly, and the hands being unattached to the wings. If they were just fixed in one place, connected to the wings, it would feel a lot less like the feathers were just an added feature. But honestly, though it bugs me, it’s not too bad. The animations and colors are AWESOME.
i think its better when you display the skins in the preview thing you did for the quetz
also with the feathers i feel like a pliostocene pack might come soon in another expansion like this. for building purposes

im not sure about pyroraptor specifically, but i know that some dromaeosaurs (i think most of them) cant move their arms up very far, which is surprising as birds can totally do that super far upwards, but thats what i heard. thats my dislike about pyro in jwe2, not the face

I'm so happy with these new dinos and skins! I really wish Frontier did the same with the Velociraptor. Not only it had terrible skins in the first game, but the pattern on JWE2 makes the Raptor look like it has some kind of skin desease.
Yea the velociraptor definitely got the short end of the stick both games, skins are somewhat better this game but it doesn’t fix the model, personally I hate JW raptor modeling, they peaked in jp3

That Sword Art Online reference is so cute. It has the Pyroraptor sniffing the other's arm but then they both start shaking their wings. Just like Kirito trying to nuzzle Asuna's arm, but she steps away from him. Now that's a perverted dromaeosaurid.
