In real life, it was kind of balanced, herbivores could win against carnivores, but carnivores could win against herbivores, I have almost NEVER seen a herbivore beat a carnivore in Jurassic world evolution
Ok I am glad they made this DLC but seriously. WHY do they keep missing opportunities for good attacking animations, specifically for herbivores??? WHY?
In upcoming JW: Chaos Theory, I wish there will be more prehistoric mammals, insects, bioluminescent dinosaurs, and hybrids both carnivores and herbivores then the new villain should be the sadistic/cruel worker of Eli Mills🙏🙏🙏
I have to say, I really like the Ankylodocus updated look and Frontier did a better job with Evolution 2's version of this sauropod, but I still can't get over they couldn't make it fight back. Missed opportunity on that note, shame a sauropod to the Jurassic franchise is no different than a Gallimimus when faced up against a carnivore. Props to Indominus for not killing Ankylodocus, I was surprised to see it starve but shame that Frontier still didn't give a sauropod including Ankylodocus the chance to fight back. I feared they wouldn't make Ankylodocus fight, but I hoped Frontier wouldn't commit that huge mistake again... Ankylodocus NOT fighting back was it's bigger problem in the first game, even more then how it looked. They improved his apearance, but it still not fighting back makes it pointless...
I hate how frontier doesn’t listen to its community! We’ve been begging for a sauropod combat system for 5 years, and not a single acknowledgment or explanation. If only we had someone with the power to make it happen (which we don’t).
Ankylodocus glow up its honestly crazy, big shame that it cant fight back tho : / Does not feel right to buy this pack again honestly even with the redesign and lux skins.
Im guessing they wont even bother with making sauropod fighting back as they want them to have this gentle giant rather this strong and armed sauropod.
The two things that factor in how successful a hunt is for a large theropod to take down a sauropod in this game are this: 1. Stamina: If a large sauropod has plenty of stamina, most of the time anyway, a large theropod typically either does no damage to 40% of a large sauropod's health. But if a large Sauropod has no stamina, it'll immediately die of "blood loss" from any large theropod in the range from Ceratosaurus to Spinosaurus (deliberately not taking hybrids into consideration). 2. Aggression: Any large theropod that has the Aggressive trait will pretty much attack anything until it dies, that is if it doesn't switch target of course cause I have seen that with Allosaurus and Giganotosaurus in sandbox mode as an example when I try to recreate certain points in time in certain fossil locations.
I do not recommend getting this dlc until Frontier gets off their *** and gives all sauropods self-defense capabilities. Stop speeding money and spoiling Frontier until they do this, among other fixes.
Ngl I was hoping for a hybrid dlc but I wish it added some new aquatic hybrids and stuff still hyped for this but think they missed a good opportunity to add unique aquatic life to the game

I'm guessing the dev either don't want to give the sauropod a Fighting animal as they look too big and slow to fight back against carnivores.

The Anklyodocus new design looks way a lot better than it did in jwe I prefer this version in JWE2.

Why the fuck won't Fronteir actually let sauropods fight back? There is no reason the heaviest, strongest creatures don't defend themselves.
