There would be no “Resident Evil” or “The Walking Dead” without this masterpiece, and the music from Harrison echoes in games and movies to this day! Here’s this track “Vitally Transformed” with some live drums by me: enjoy! ✌🏻🤩 th-cam.com/video/M4eMjTjaByM/w-d-xo.html
I think what made Day of the Dead the most terrifying Romero zombie was the music as well as the extreme Gore. But the setting , cinematography , the feeling it really is a zombie apocalypse. The zombies although simplified looked and felt like the most realistic zombies compared to modern zombies.
Yeah the atmosphere of the entire movie was unsettling. First time i watched it was 20 years ago, with the lights off, and what a mistake that was. Lol took me almost 20 years to watch it again, which was yesterday. And it still makes me squeamish. But that just shows how great a director George Romero was and how great a special effects/makeup artist Tom Savini is to get that kind of reaction out of me... and this was before CGI was popular! They need to do more special effects like this more often!
How about some more “Zombie theme music” that were to follow this masterpiece: Here’s some drumming on The Walking Dead 🤩🧟♂️ th-cam.com/users/shortsj7c-1D1_c1c?feature=share And here my take on the “Day of the dead theme” ✌🏻🧟 th-cam.com/users/shortspVEtLaop4js?feature=share
11:21 Is something I would imagine hearing in a video game exploring a sky castle way up in the clouds, very chill. Anything know what that part of the music is called? like the track name
j Durini yeah I’m a huge Romero fan. To the point where I went to the mall where Dawn of the Dead was filmed. Got signed posters and multiple dvd editions of his flicks. Just finished Stranger very good
You either heard of this thanks to Gorillaz or Stranger Things (or some the movie itself or some other source of media) Damn, I miss the Rockit music video with the beginning of this track as the intro with the Zombie Flesh Eaters logo.
I think the studio gave assurances the movie would have a much bigger budget initially, the original script had a demented former senator using an army of trained zombies, however the money never materialised and so a new movie had to be put together at the last minute. There are some characters and scenes taken from the original concept in the Day Of The Dead we all know.
Greatest soundtrack ever.......prove me wrong..... I’ll wait
Rain Man has a better soundtrack.
@@vitocorleone8257 its a better movie indeed although this movie is good too. but the soundtrack is not better.

Your wait is over. Conan the Barbarian, Basil Poledouris. I love this one too..but nothing can touch Conan score.

For me, it's the better movie about living dead
Very ominous sounding, a good fit for this type of movie
Music from George A. Romero's DAY OF THE DEAD (1985)
Classic theme 👌

The movie is not that good, compared to ZOMBIE / DAWN OF THE DEAD, but the soundtrack kicks ass !
I used to think the same, until I watched the Arrow release years later and now I prefer this movie out of the series. I prefer the OST aswell.

Kieran Fo this was supposed to be Land of the Dead. Romero only got 3 million to make Day bc of R rating.
Zombie is the European Argento cut.
And now this is ten times better than Land of the Dead. You have to be so much more creative on a smaller budget
