Not with this model/style. You would either need to dig and lower the connecting pipe and thus the sprinkler head's resting position, or you could use a protective donut. The latter may be a simpler solution.
@@AndyMahnFL411 couple days ago i recently mowed the lawn & i clipped the sprinkler a bit it still sprays out as the control box is programmed them to but it just spurs straight out so i guess ill get another brass head, & im thinking now to put in a pvc pipe around the head that way i dont clip it again no more its always that one by the sidewalk i have about 4 sprinklers on each side of my small lawn area its square size & so which would you recommend? because i dont want to get the cheap plastic round dish cover for the head because i feel i might clip the cover i even raised the suspension height of my mower though too
@@Nikohere yeah, I'd have to agree, you probably damaged the head and need to replace it. You might want to get one of those little cement donuts and place it around the sprinkler to kind of protect it, and of course, raise the deck of the mower.
Interesting - I hadn't noticed until you mentioned this. That is because the soil is clumped around the elbow at the base of the sprinkler head and also around the connected length of pipe. As I work on it, the pipe shifts and the clump moves.
No need to dig up your sprinkler! Go buy a new sprinkler head. Dig down just past the top and twist off. Twist off the top of the new sprinkler head and put that into the body of the one in the ground! That's it!
would it no be easier if someone would video record your repair, someone record while you hold the parts with both hands? do you have friends ? close relatives, distance relatives? like your uncle bob who plays computer games in the basement of ant Kathrine the one who does hair at her house ?
Very helpful. Great job 👏. Also I noticed the video ended a tiny bit too soon while you were still talking.
Thank you, sorry about that, may have been an editing blunder.
if gear driven head is not rotating ...?stripped gears? ... Replacehead?
There may also be particles (sand, grit) in the mechanism, preventing proper operation.
??? not sure ..can i open up to look ay gears or does that ruin it ?? THANKS FOR RESPONSE
Ron Sword, you may need to replace the entire unit as a whole. Good luck.
Is there a way to LOWER the head? I believe mine might be installed too high because I mowed over it and it was the only one that took a beating.

Why is the soil moving around your sprinkler head?
