I think your bowl gasket came out when you inverted it and you didn’t set the float height

Yes it did and I had to take it apart again. Sadly not filmed.

too old, how did you clean your carbs/carb screws? i want to get my 400 running, but my penchant for perfectionism isn't letting me put dirty screws back together...even though i can't decide on how to clean them!

Hi I put everything in my ultrasonic cleaner. They are about £40 on Amazon.

also, what screwdriver is that that you used for the throttle slide screws? none of mine fit!!

i used standard flat head screwdrivers and for cross head screws on nearly all Japanese bikes you need a set of JIS(japanese Industrial Standard) Screwdrivers.
