Thank you for commenting on my video nnoovvaannddii. I always wanted to play this one and I'm glad that you enjoyed my playing. I was lucky enough to see Opeth in Brisbane last week and when they started to play this i went beserk!...as you could imagine. Unbelievable band. Eezer
Thank you for watching, I'm glad that you enjoyed my version. It is such an amazing song and I spent ages trying to get it to sound right (the tabs are not great). Good luck with you're picking fingers, certainly need them for this one. Eezer
your talented hands just made melindas face blush! i think that heavy cross of hers is now half weight at least. thank you for sharing your skills sir! it made my day!
Hey gruu, man thank you for your generous comments on my video. This is right up there with my favourite tracks of all time and this video had to be made. A couple of people have mentioned about sending the band my covers but I don't know man, there are so many areas that need work. Nice to think that they may have checked 'em on YT. haha. 'til next time. Eezer
Hey Grigeral, thanks again for watching my vids. Man it's great to hear that you have started classical guitar, please keep me up to date with how you're going with it. Cheers Eezer
Thanks Sedicion, for watching and commenting on another of my Opeth covers. Next one is very close, please keep checking for updates. Haha..it sound any good to sing along?? Cheers Eezer
Thank you Rohtie, for commenting and for subbing/faving. Yes the "whole song" idea really appeals to me. I enjoy working out the vocals on guitar. Still improving all the time. Thanks again Eezer
Hey Juchel, thank you for watching my videos. There is more to come (Windowpane is next) I just need more time to be able to put another together. Please keep checking and thanks again. Eezer
I totally adore your cover, face of melinda is my favourite ballad by Opeth and you totally hit the mood of it. It is amazing how you put together the different guitar parts in the video. I can't wait for the teaching video you are planning to do. You're an awesome guy. I wish I was that talented xD
wow!!one of the best covers on youtube...never seen anything like this...you actually covered the vocal section on the guitar too in that 5th minute....brilliant!!nice work...i am not able to nail this song as i have finger picking problems...got to work on it
@Auvardur Thanks, yes the distortion needs work. It's a great song indeed and one that I worked on for a long time to get it to this stage, well worth it. Thanks again for watching and commenting. Eezer
Thanks B3nighted, it's frustrating when you know you can play but can't find time to put something together. Keep at it, sad to hear of dust though, that's not good. Just to let you know and to put things into perspective, this song took me 12 months to work out and record with all the parts. I kept having to leave it and come back when I felt inspired...worth it though. Eezer
@mrdeathamore Thank you for your comment on my cover of an amazing track. This was so much fun to put together, more Opeth to come from me. Thanks again Eezer
Dude, you're in beast mode right now. You are truly an amazing guitar player and I couldn't have thought of a better song to cover on nylon. Simply put, jawdropping.
@kotapainting Thank you for commenting on my cover. The parts are wonderfully written as with all of Opeth's music. Hail Mikael. more to come soon Eezer
Thanks for watching and commenting on my Opeth covers, kmahl. Out of all the Opeth covers I've done this one was the one that I wanted to play most. One of my all time favourites, in a long list of Opeth songs. Eezer
@maynard789 Thanks maynard, I'm glad that you enjoyed my cover. Regarding the vocal thing, quite a few people have asked for no vocal line so for the next cover I make I might upload a secondary identical video but with the vocal part removed. Thanks again for watching and commenting. Eezer
@DarkSavantPhoonzang Thanks so much for watching my videos, that's great that you enjoyed it. The tutorial is not too far away, just struggling a bit with the harmonies. I didn't write any of it down when I worked it out last time so it's taking time. I want to post something that is as accurate as this video at least, some improvements have been made since. Won't be long. Thanks again Eezer
Thanks Kornkrop, yea I wanted to get . the vocals as close as possible. Sometimes Mikael's inflections are difficult to capture. I'm having issues with 'Windowpane' at the moment. All guitars sound fantastic but the vocals are proving the most difficult yet to sound good. Thanks again for watching and commenting. Eezer
Dude, this ist INCREDIBLE, my jaw is really dropping down on the floor... I would record vocals to it, but it actually would ruin your work with my questionable voice, it really doesn't need any...
Although there were no outward problems with the other version, it still sounded great. This sounds even better :). Good work Eezer! As always. I have taken to learning the classical guitar due to the tones you get. Harder to play, but it's more rewarding :).
Thanks perfectbreedband, I'm glad that you enjoyed my arrangement. The guitar is a Greg Bennett, nothing special but it has a pickup so I can record easily. I'll check your too and thanks again. Eezer
Hey Dorfnite, thank you for watching my videos and commenting. Yes Windowpane is next but I'm having some technical issues with my operating system. As soon as it is up I'll send you the link. Cheers again man. Eezer
Hey Fleshjam, thanks for commenting, yes I worked through 2 different tabs (guitarpro and powertabs) and worked the remainder out by ear. This was the most challenging cover I've played so far. Glad you enjoyed it. Eezer
Im so very impressed about your accuracy and perfom man. This is one of my favorite songs. I just think you should improve the sound mix a little bit more. Regards! from México
Thanks for commenting fumado, it is a tricky one indeed but worth it. This arrangement was an 18month project (I kept getting stuck on the verses). The tabs are dodgy to say the least and I didn't tab my version (not that I'm an authority on any of this, I'm still not 100% happy with the overall outcome but it's as close as I'm going to get it I think. Thanks for watching and please check my other covers. Eezer
Its flawless basically, and a nice touch really with another guitar holding the vocal melody, you captured the feeling of this song with a hint of your own style, you should send it to opeth or something. : ]
Thanks Allin, yeah it's a fabulous song and I took a liberty or two here and there with the arrangement. I had this one in mind for ages but I just couldn't get the verses right. Once they were done the whole thing came together (I still cringe at parts, lol but I'm more than happy with the outcome). Thanks again man, Eezer
Thanks RuhRohOreo, it's one of my favourites too. Cheers for watching and commenting. I'm still blown away that people are enjoying these covers so much. Eezer
Metal has been around since the 80s . That's 40 years ago. So that teenage metal lover in the 80s is now in his 50s today don't forget that. Opeth formed in 1989 . This man was maybe a super fan in the 80s you don't know. Opeth has been around longer then you have been alive.
Do you even know that opeth formed in 1989. This man quite possibly was a teenager when he became a fan of opeth. Youngsters these days think they are the only era of metal. They didn't even know Metallica was from the 80s and so the og original fans are now over 50 -60 years old.
@@jalee6587 yes, I was a metal fan in my teens. Saxon, Judas Priest and early Rainbow were forefront for me. My musical tastes then progressed all over but when I heard Opeth I was seduced from the first moment (Dirge for November was first, then Benighted followed by Patterns in the Ivy II). As a semi classical guitar player my attention was drawn to Mikael's exquisite guitar playing and composition style..everything). The growling was new to me and took a while to get my head around but I'm addicted today. I still only listen to Opeth today.
Didn't know steven wilson has gone bald
I'm finding this almost 11 years to late. Great work man.
I may have been too late but this is the most phenomenal cover I've ever heard. Thank you man.
Not late man
Very beautiful!!! Perfect
You're great man, I saw all your videos
greetins from Brasil
I love Opeth's acoustics and instrumentals. Metal bands have the best acoustic arrangements

Jerry I Jerry thank you. I enjoyed your comments very much. There are more covers to come from me. Happy to make your day any day.
Eezer
very well done but you might want to consider working on your tone for when the distortion kicks in. sounds a little abrasive
Hey gruu, man thank you for your generous comments on my video. This is right up there with my favourite tracks of all time and this video had to be made. A couple of people have mentioned about sending the band my covers but I don't know man, there are so many areas that need work. Nice to think that they may have checked 'em on YT. haha. This one is hands down the best music cover on youtube. period.
This is the greatest thing to ever come out of a guitar.
I love how it takes 4 guitars at once to cover an opeth song accurately, even with as badass a player as this guy
Hey Grigeral, thanks again for watching my vids. Man it's great to hear that you have started classical guitar, please keep me up to date with how you're going with it.

I must agree, I did not know what to expect when that part was coming. Still, this is a beautiful cover! I love singing along to it
This is absolutely incredible! I was literally stunned while watching this, outstanding work sir.
Thanks psykosmach, glad you enjoyed my version of this song.

Thank you komasef, this one was on the 'to do list' for a long time so I'm pleased that it is out there and people are enjoying it.
