After years of collecting S&Ws and Rutgers, I just acquired my first Colt last year. Now I know what all the fuss is about. They really are extraordinary revolvers.

The best thing about the new Colts is the trigger. Extremely smooth! Also the Kimber KS6. The Kimber and the Colt have the nicest 357 trigger.

I stick with the Ruger ! I shoot a lot of 357 , that colt is going to break ! A lot of problems with the old pythons and the new ! 686 or GP100 for me

Been carrying my 4.25" Python in a 1791 brand OWB holster loaded with Hornady critical defense .357 ammo as my primary carry gun for about 2 months now. Surprising how fast I've gotten used to the carry rig and such a sweet shooting gun. Wearing a buttoned shirt untucked and it completely hides the gun. I used to carry a Glock 19. With the Python and a couple of Bianchi speed strips for spare ammo and I feel better prepared now than I ever was with the Glock. The Python is such a sweet high class CCW.

Outstanding demonstration of the new 3" Python! I have had both 4" & 6" old school Pythons. I could never afford the 3" old school ones because of how much they cost! So I saw one of the new 3" Pythons for sale at the local gunshop just like yours and bought it! That was yesterday and I have to wait the 3 or 4 day waiting period! I am excited to be able to take it home after wanting a 3" for so long! After watching your video I am more impressed than I was with it! My Dad was a WW2 Marine Raider so I appreciate your service!

There are a ton of videos of people constantly running SA/DA revolvers in SA almost exclusively. On a 3" gun it is a must to have a good DA trigger. You made it look easy 👍

1976, Las Vegas, Nev. We had a competition firing for law ebforcement. I remember talking with a State Trooper who carried a Colt 357, 5 inch barrel. The subject was about double action in S & W and Colt revolvers. The trooper told me how Colt double action became smoother with firing. Smiths don't really smooth out. He let me dry fire his revolver. I had years of experience with S&W revolvers and I was really impressed with the Colt.

Great video and danged fine shooting here! (Of course, the Marines don't turn out any bad shooters, and I mean that in the most sincerest of ways). When I was shooting on rifle and pistol teams back in the late 70's and 80's, (local NG Artillery here in Oklahoma), our unit's "first-shirt" was our team captain. He was a top-notch, true-blue, 1st Marine division A**-kicker that could just drill with any weapon you gave him. Really great guy and we had a lot of fun burnin powder together for a decade.
I just so happened to pick up one of these lil" 3" units couple days ago new in the box from one of the shops I haunt. Took it out yesterday and lemme tell ya, for a guy that's been a dedicated S&W carrier all his life, I am seriously impressed! Like you say, the lock-up is phenomenal on it, ZERO Movement!! (As my dad used to say, "tighter than dick's hatband"). I took a course decades ago from a man that built and armored guns for a living and on-board ship in WW-II, I can slick up a smith or a 1911 right nicely, but this Colt Python outta-the-box, man, it's a dream, and I can see yours is too. I gotta admit, I was skeptical after seeing the issues that were cropping up on the first gen new releases a couple years back and was really stand-offish about getting mine. But I can say now, it appears I'm gonna be holster shopping for the next couple days. I'll be featuring my 3" and the 4" head to head in a new video on my channel hopefully next weekend. Thanks for all the good video work you do, I get a "large-charge" outta them for sure.

The old grips were beautiful, but very soft and susceptible to damage. W/ very sharp checkering. Fired my old 6" off the bench and chipped the grip. Just got the new 4.25" PYTHON and am not disappointed. Like the old rear strap serrations and beavertail hammer spur but...what the heck! Only thing I would change, think the ejector rod could stand to be 1/4" longer.
