I absolutely loved the whole interview, the ability to show emotion, the strength in showing kindness, love, forgiveness, to put family first, to admit mistakes, to acknowledge weaknesses, to grab life and create luck and grab it. Wonderful message for fathers, husbands, and men.
I deeply admire his confidence, conviction & commitment.
Best interview so far, thank you.
Empowering words there from Bear about failure and resilience. This inspires me; thank you.
Best interview yet. Great questions and answers about faith, life, family and being resilient and loving others to do your best. Genuine nice guy. ❤
Wonderful guy. I did the Everest Base Camp Trek at the age of 59 based on his enthralling book, Facing Up (the youngest guy to climb Everest at one point).
Amen to the “resilience will keep you there when the luck comes”
That was so my experience. My success was way less than you guys, but it was enough that some people asked me how I achieved what I did. Luck was definitely one of my first thoughts but then I thought “don’t give up easily” don’t give up at every obstacle. There’s other stuff too - keep an open mind, when doors open go through . Oh and get a good accountant!
Lovely interview!! Really enjoyed it. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Great guy.
Fantastic
Interesting to see how these guys live but how can "normal" working people aspire to walking around the park bare foot, doing chin ups, jumping in the river (cold shower), on top of getting ready for work, getting the kids up and ready for school, get their breakfast ready, commute to a job you hate, stay there for 9 hours, come home, get tea ready, run the kids to numerous clubs, have tea, relax for 45 mins, go to bed!
These kind of podcasts should be taken at face value and more of a biography of the interviewee rather than a realistic plan for your own life. Hang in there guys!
He has made millions from Netflix shows and plans for more shows in the future. Then, he argues that if people sit down and watch stuff we are not fulfilling our potentials. lol
You're foolish to think a human can live to 200 and foolish to want to live that long. This sounds like a man having a late or even 2nd mid life crisis who is afraid of the inevitable.
He lived a full life, why not relax and enjoy the fruits of the labor now? The older I get, the more I appreciate slowing down and taking everything in.
Are you joking?! He's only 50 years old, of course he wants to live much longer, he's feeling fantastic cause he takes care of his health and is far from the winding down phase of life.
What you're describing, to me sounds more like 80s or maybe 70s. Unless you're not feeling energetic and healthy, maybe then that feeling of slowing down and taking in comes sooner. And while I am grateful for every year I get, I don't think 50 years old is having lived a full life, there's so much more to come❤
@marelva1963 Living the life he has is much different than the normal person's 50. Extraordinary, yes, but it's clearly taken it's toll. He's gone 150% for a long time. I'm sure he's in excellent shape but health isn't guaranteed.
I have lots of friends whose parents thought the same thing until they actually hit retirement age and the aches and pains become too much to even enjoy retirement. Just because you feel good at 50 doesn't mean it's promised in your 60s or beyond. You can't buy health. It's a lottery. While he still has it, he should enjoy it before it's gone. The mindset of living to 200 is arrogant and puts little respect on the realistic lifespan one actually has. This will only lead to regret. I've seen it first hand in hospice too many times to count.
He lives by faith, the big take away from this interview is that, also be kind, be forgiving, be encouraging. And lastly don't allow the naysayers to rain on you dreams or aspirations
@@topsysdad1 I'm a pragmatist, not a naysayer. I've literally watched and spoken with people of faith who had the same mindset, filled with regret as they realize the life they thought was going to be much longer, wasn't. When you see the look in their eyes that tells a true story of regret for not slowing down and enjoying life, it takes its toll and makes you re-evaluate what life is really about.
You're foolish to care enough to put a negative comment like this get a job get out of your mama's basement
He has so much wealth I hope that he takes better care of his face skin, you can look better you know.
Day 1 - did 3 pull-ups & put my back out
Day 2 - took a Walk in Hyde park barefoot - spent 2 hours scraping dogsh1t out my toenails.
Day 3 - (*back still hurts) but jumped into the River Wyre, now have ecoli & Giardia.... Can't get off the toilet.
I'm never taking advice again from this Bear guy.... 🤦🏽♂️
Bear seems a nice enough fella but unusually for both of you you gave him a very shallow interview. Come on with his background Eton educated etc etc of cause he was always going to be HP.
I'm not uses to this much religion, even more so Christianity talk, on this channel.
Great he finds his motivation in here, but the lack of steering the conversation from High Performance is disappointing to me.
It's an interview, he is undoubtedly a high performer, but he's of the mindset his faith was instrumental in him sustaining and ensuring his resilience. The way he interacted with Jakes son was powerful, and the interaction young men need
