We enter the NT from Queensland via the Barkly HWY

Travel plans always change that's why we didn't make it thru the centre of Australia but we did not let this stop us after a 2 month stay back in Brisbane we made a mad dash thru the centre of Queensland to the NT and got back on track as we drove into Darwin. Even tho we heard bad reports of the Barkly HWY we still decided to cross there making up our own minds on the conditions although its not what you would expect for a hwy it really wasn't that bad with most of the pot hole signed and speed limits reduced it was only a small section of the hwy that was bad at about the 20-30 km from the Stuart hwy end other wise it was some of the best outback road I have driven on
