  • This is an unboxing of the @corsair 7000D Airflow, an incredible full tower case with loads of installation options, some nice aesthetics and of course, plenty of airflow.
In this video I'm unboxing and installing in this case with 12 fans - 9 ML120 PRO RGB fans and 3 ML140 RGBs on the H170i Elite Capellix all-in-cooler. This is obviously a very long video because I want to show you how I did it, talk about the intricacies of the build process, show off what the case is capable of and more.

I watched your videos covering the Corsair cases, their AIOs, and your explanation on fan choices and the management thereof. They have each been invaluable in my research for the new PC I'm building myself. Your videos are clear, concise, and I particularly appreciate the 'relaxed vibe'. A joy to watch and very informative. You have been an immense help and saved me from several pitfalls. Thank you.

Thank you SO much for making this video! A client brought me this case and about $2k worth of parts and asked me to put it together for him. I have plenty of experience fixing and building PCs, but there is a lot to this case and the manual that comes with it doesn't even come close to showing how to make the best use of it. Your video is really The Missing Manual!

Thanks for all the work you went through for this video. I really like these longer videos that show everything, because If you think you had trouble setting this up, imagine someone buying this as their first build case with no experience with RGB Fans/Hubs/Nodes/ or anything like that, they will be completely lost, and this video will help them loads. Also You are the first person to show that the Hard Drive/SSD Drive mount cages are stackable. I've watched 4 reviews on it so far and no one else mentioned it. Keep up the great work. I currently have a 4000D Airflow, but wish I had gotten a 5000D Airflow. I have so many fans/hubs and stuff that cable management in this smaller case is a menace, and I just bought Lian Li Strimer Cables to add to it lol. I like that they added the bracket to Vertical mount the GPU closer to the Motherboard. Wish the 5000D had that option, in my 4000D the only plausible way to vertical mount a GPU is if it is Watercooled because if not it will be suffocated. Thanks for the awesome video!

If someone is buying this as their first build case with no experience, they are just asking to get into the weeds. Factor in the cost of a set up like this and it is not likely to happen. Someone affording this as a first build can pay someone to do it for them. There is value in showing the build process though as even experienced builders can't keep up with every case, motherboard, AIO, etc out there and showing potential hiccup points is very nice.

Thank you sir! I just got a PC built with this case and I felt fearful tinkering with it and finding out how to clean the dust trays. I was afraid I'd break/damage something. This video showed me exactly how I could clean it and it's cool how they made it super easy for people that aren't hardware-savvy like me. This makes me have a greater appreciation for the PC case as well. Amazing job dude!

I built my first proper computer this weekend, and my CPU cooler is not the same make or model as the one you show here, but it had the same method of installation. I just wanted to say, thank goodness you mention it being fiddly, because I thought I was just being stupid! It was probably the most challenging part of the build for me, and that was literally just hooking those key-shaped pieces of metal onto the plastic 'hooks' on the motherboard!
    Great video as always.

I had bought a prebuilt and my i9 14900 was spiking to 100C and holding steady with even small \ old games. I decided to do this build because of you, with the 7000D! I even did the push\pull on top of the AIO
adiator, so 15 fans total lol. However, I can't get my top lid on, and also, so many cables I'm having trouble shutting the back panel.... but oh well! I was so happy to see that when playing some of my fav games, nothing like VR or 4k, but just average games, my temps are staying controlled around 40 - 50C right now. What a huge difference. @@TheProvokedPrawn it has helped me plan my fan setup without a doubt, part way through i immediately realised I needed another pwm hub as I push/pull with my current 360 radiator and I want to keep that along side adding a new 420 to the front.
Being able to see that the drive bay can still squeeze infront of the psu allowing for the optional bit of trim to be swapped in was great, mostly as I think I'll need that cut out for the radiator to drop down into.
Im curious, did you test the case without the fans drawing in from the motherboard panel? In my mind, those fans plus front intakes is going to make for some very messy airflow coming in and id love to see some figures from both setups.

That way I can run power and rgb to all 12, completely eliminating the need for the build-in PWM controller? Or would you lose all PWM capability at that point. First build.

The GPU vertical mount can be moved back alot further, the case comes with a bracket that allows you to move the lower 6 /7 pci cover and put in the vertical one for the GPU. i had it in front like this setup and RX 580 was running between 70-90, moved it back and now it hits a max of 67 (Battle field 5 testing). With hindsight, are you glad you went with the ones you did? My understanding is that two batches of four 120mm fans will be slightly better in terms of cooling and will arguably look better in the case, but of course need more cable management and are a bit noisier than two batches of three 140mm fans.
