Awesome video mate, all the clips turned out great and really nice camera work too ! Really enjoyed those two clips at 2:28 and 4:21 with RL6 roaring to the booked piles, you get that nice sound from the exhaust that you just dont hear from inside the cab or at the rear when loading. Plenty of pack cycles in this video, with a lot of crunchy timber items and white goods thrown in but also your softer bagged items and loose cardboard too. That was manure in those bags at 5:20 pretty awful smell seeing as they were roasting in the sun all day haha :P This particular day was one of those long days on Ryde Cleanup but nice way to the end the video with a few goes at the air horn and the truck heading away down the street.
AussieGarbo67 thanks! I'm surprised you can't hear that from in the truck, it's loud as! Love the sound of wood crunching, and the smell of fresh gas :p oh was that manure!? I thought they were clothes for some reason haha that pile didn't smell nearly as bad as the next pile up the road. Yeah I loved the ending too to be honest haha bet that horn must've surprised a bunch of residents hehe

I wonder what f**ked up the blade? The compactor looks pretty worn out in general judging by the way the plate that's attached to the blade moves in it's guides.
These guys do some SERIOUS lifting! Some of the big bulk drop areas are pathetic! If people would bag their loose small garbage, it would help the trash men soooo much! Thank you for the videos!

Alex living his dream, working on a proper green Ryde truck :D Love the Heils doing their thing, blade opens wide, falls into the hopper, scoops it up and packs the stuff tight. Looks like the edge of the sweep blade has copped a beating, bent up nicely, appears they tried to reinforce it a bit too. The type of driver who knows how to park a truck on clean-up too - tailgate swung around to the pile and on the wrong side of the road lol Sounds like a complete beast this truck when it's driving... second clip and right at the end was mad. Will have to get out and video Alex myself in future, mainly waiting for him to get his licence though.

Yeah I remember Alex telling me the story of how that happened, don't remember what happened though haha yeah truck sounded mad, found the truck cause I heard it revving a street away! I'm waiting to film Alex when he gets on a SL, has he told you he got his HR the other day? Should be just a few more months!
You said it mate...living the dream for sure, always thought I would work on them, now just got to try out the old Ryde Green SL's :) Ah yeh these Heils pack good loads and everything gets packed tight, when youre unloading the material that gets pushed out by the ejector blade comes out like a solid block haha :D Average load is an easy 6.5-7.5 tonne ! Yep that sweep blade is bent pretty badly, been like that for ages....10+ years of cleanup everyday takes it toll ! The reinforcing was added at the start of 2017 and its already cracking off :P Yeh shes got a nice tune this truck when driving, an 06 Acco with the ISC05 !
Great video! Can't believe the amount of recyleables going in! Here in the UK everything has to be recycled. No way would they let you put a fridge in there
None of that stuff would be put in, here in the UK. Household waste only, all recyclable stuff has either dedicated bins, or you take it to the local tip to be recycled. It's amazing that that doesn't happen in Australia.
