I got epic call from Carin Racing if I want to test their insane KTM GTX XBOW Race car (500hp, 1000kg, TC, ABS, one of the most modern GT racing cars..)! Same car races in GT2 with 100 more horsepower but more weight. This car is around 1-2 seconds per lap slower at Autodrom Most - Czech Republic where I was driving! Here is my POV as gamer/simracer and this year Renault Clio Cup Europe driver
ya, that´s more your thing, feeling more comfortable than in a Clio. would love to see you in a GT3 Car, smashing the field and messing with the Pro´s.
@@robertkrlin21 Clio is fantastic and I would not change anything but its 100% more challenging as FWD car to "get it right" but I want to race it as much and as long as I "financily" can to be good driver! Do you mean that as raced with less power and weight it's slower than in GT2 setup? Still looked pretty snappy around there. I guess out of corner acceleration is where a lot of time is made with extra power.

I am so thrilled for you. Jardier!! You are the most appreciative race car driver ever! No one expresses as much joy and thankfulness as you when given the opportunity to drive a legitimate race car! Well done, brother! I am extremely proud of you!!

I bet that was an amazing experience. I got to do a ride along in a gt1 car when I was around 10 years old. There was a race at Texas Motor Speedway and the infield was opened up and arranged into a road track. There were a couple cone courses set up outside the track near the parking lot and some drivers were driving anyone that wanted to ride in the car around a few laps. When I got in, the only thing the driver asked me was "Do you like going fast?" Of course my reply was yes. I can't remember the make of the car but I want to say it was a Porsche. Of course we weren't going at full racing speed but I could still feel the force from the braking, acceleration and turning and it felt absolutely incredible. I thanked the man before getting out after the ride and I remember running up to my mother who was accompanying me and asking her "they go faster on the race track, right?" 😂 That was the very first race I ever watched in person and definitely will always be one of my most memorable ones.
That's amaziiiiiiing mate! One of the things I like to do if there are kids around to let them sit in the Clio or check the KTM when possible, future racing drivers :)

Great video, has me wanting to fire up the sim to try this combo myself :D Always great to see sim racers get to give the real thing a go and even better when youre actually allowed to push a bit (not like lamborghini at imola a few years ago iirc ;)) and do it on a track as fun as Most. Also something about the camera settings was really nice, the speed while braking for turn 1 looked crazy :D. And last but not least also loved the r8 lms ultra cameo, unfortunately dont see them too often these days (although understandable given that their successor came out nearly a decade ago :D)

Question that i have, How do you go about breaking points on a track in a car that you never driven before? Like going full speed and beeing confident that you wont overshot the corner
Just as you said, braking points, feeling the power of braking, 3d depth perception in real life and you get it in a couple of laps. Mainly by knowing where to brake and from feel. Im sure team told where to brake for t1, Jardier also probably watched some onboards / telemetry from others fast laps in this car or drove this combo on the sim.
Hey mate! This might be long answer! 🤣 So thanks to amount of the years I do in the sims I got a lot of muscle memory and memory where to usually brake on most places right away and now as Im doing the Clio cup I have that feeling of the brake quite quick. And you go to track and you feel the brake power so first lap you brake lets say 50m earlier to see what it does and feel and then you start pushing later and later trying to brake on the absolutely limit. To me its very “simple” because in sim you brake very hard right away so you know oh 150 is too early lets try 120 oh still can do 100 oktoo late by 2-4metres:) and in real life you have to brake to maximum power brake of the car before either locking up (if there is no abs) or push to abs limit. So here on first lap i felt the brakes and instantly i felt the power and how much i need to press the pedal (you hit it as hard as you can and then trailbrake before triggering too much abs). So i did first lap braking for t1 a bit safer to not do any mistake and then pushing the limit and feeling confident :) Team didnt tell me where to brake but i asked what the car like in terms of braking (if abs is good so i can hit the pedal hard and how much i can trail on this car as its lighter than gt3) I also watched one lap where guy brakes around 120m to t1 but i felt quite easy to go right to 110-100m :)
I usually drive my GT car at the track, an old yet sturdy and capable Skyline GTR 32 bought to a private team. To a game you will get used much faster. Just enjoy the ride!
Doing a bit of catchup! You must have felt the luckiest person in the world! Going 250 kph in real life must be an intense experience, and I definitely can understand the joy after overtaking that M4 gt3. Hopefully you´ll be in one of those soon :) The part of the Audi R8 LMS GT3 was great too, I love that car so much... Now to the Clio cup video! ;)

So here on first lap i felt the brakes and instantly i felt the power and how much i need to press the pedal (you hit it as hard as you can and then trailbrake before triggering too much abs).
So i did first lap braking for t1 a bit safer to not do any mistake and then pushing the limit and feeling confident :)
Team didnt tell me where to brake but i asked what the car like in terms of braking (if abs is good so i can hit the pedal hard and how much i can trail on this car as its lighter than gt3) I also watched one lap where guy brakes around 120m to t1 but i felt quite easy to go right to 110-100m :)
ITs great seeing the sheer joy you have driving this car. Hope you can race a GT3 car sometime in the future.
Thank you so so much!

I usually drive my GT car at the track, an old yet sturdy and capable Skyline GTR 32 bought to a private team. To a game you will get used much faster. Just enjoy the ride!

Now to the Clio cup video! ;)
Im so used to simracing that at the start with the camera moving i thought the wheel was loose and falling on him
