Cheers for this, I been tryin to find out about "how to learn to play piano by ear free" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Penaycer Rudimentary Preponderance - (do a search on google ) ? It is a good exclusive product for discovering how to play the piano easily minus the normal expense. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my cousin got cool success with it.
Hey Iris o/ you should check out David Hicken (if you dont alreaty know about him) th-cam.com/channels/RAWjJnIGOetJxxoipsTPvw.html. I think most of his pieces are way more beautifull than any piece from this video. And i dont want to disrespect anyone, I'ts just my opinion.

pressing the pedal on 'sleeping lotus' really helps to sustain the main chord then fade it away :)
I really like the way you play. When you play you are able to show the emotions, feelings and tell a story through your playing, I fail to do that and I really look up to you because of this. Sleeping Lotus literally got me in tears. Could you please tell me how can I play like that? Thank you for uploading such a beautiful video
Thanks a lot! That's a tough question. I would say don't rush at all, take your time. Use short silences just like when you would talk or sing. Close your eyes play it as how you feel it. It can also help to imagine playing for someone that's important to you and you really want to play every note as beautiful as possible for that person. Hope it can help you a bit. You can also send me a video of your playing if you want and I'll take a look.
@@Leuvre thank you. i was struggling with the same thing. Also, is there some pedal work for Sleeping Lotus because my playing doesn’t quite sound the same as yours?
@@healy_lyI learned sleeping lotus pretty recently and I think you're supposed to release the pedal after every third beat. So for example, you play C once followed by D# and G together twice. Then you release the pedal and press it again before playing C, D# + G the second time. Hope this helps!

@@Sara-faq thanks i learnt it in that order aswell, clair de lune is quite hard at some points but you can get through it
@@jameKnerd yeah I learned Claire de lune this year and some parts were really slow to learn but totally doable. And once you learn it the song really isn’t very hard to master 😁
I am a newbie in terms of piano, and this looks VERY daunting. however, also VERY inspiring! I've been listening to Saman for years now and it never even occured to me to look up tutorials like these! Trying to play lesser known movie soundtracks (like from Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close), but I don't want to be that piano player that only knows moviesongs you know... This was godsent!!

I'd love to learn sleeping lotus, it's one of my favorites and I heard of it from a really good book I read. The same is with Back To Life. I had heard of River Flows In You before but ended up not able to appreciate it as much because so many people were playing it, I got sick of hearing it. That same book reminded me years later of the piece and I really love it now

My favorite songs and the ones I'm learning from this track is ascent by Ludovico Einaudi 1:43 and Compassion Fins van Gorp 15:36. they're not super intense to learn and really impressive and beautiful ❤️
