I love how this is just him entertaining a fantasy completely different from ours, thinking about actually making these moves as opposed to us trying to figure out how to play that well.
It’s actually really good advice. It’s not about the piano really, although amazing, its more about the confidence you radiate when in the zone of your craft. You’re always going to be perceived as confident in an environment you “control” or feel comfortable in. And if all that fails, well… hope that you get reincarnated into a piano prodigy like this guy and just follow the guide note by note key by key. The way he’s so animatedly explaining while playing extremely complicated pieces is actually so adorable I can’tomfnsjgsgk
"How his fingers moving so fasstt?" And I laughed at it. BTW what a tip! haha
What dem fingers do 😏
Coquine
I had a piano given to me about 6 months ago and I thought , why do I want this heavy bulky thing in my way. And then I started listening to you and watching your tutorials and am now playing moonlight sonata. It is truly the greatest piece of music that was ever created and I just wanted to say thank you! You have inspired me to learn something new AT 42 years old, I'm surprising myself at learning the piano
That's awesome and Moonlight Sonata is a beautiful piece!
It’s really beautiful! I really recommend Chopin’s Ballad num. 1. It’s my personal favorite!
Respect, man
@@runawaytohide.com_watistisname thank you for the suggestion. I'll be looking into trying that my next weekend off.
@@x-fader156 Thank you.
I love how he's having so much fun. Pure joy haha

I’m here before this blows up
@@erezsolomon3838 Goddamnit. Out of policy, I won’t edit it.

You're
You could’ve easily rickroll everyone at the party

true
I like how he is teaching, playing the piano and acting at the same time.
As for me, I’ll take solace in being able to play the C major scale!
i hate the fact that this comment has less likes than any others i see
@@gamergod9377 haha :) thanks for the kind words! I appreciate it
go for c minor next i guess... slowly but surely you can do this. I believe!
Ergon book two #Roron
"You’re always going to be perceived as confident in an environment you “control” or feel comfortable in" - obvious yet gold!
I love how you’re just having so much fun with this. Gave me a huge grin that I couldn’t get off my face for the rest of the video.
Playing fantasie impromptu: “This piece is easy.”
Me, who can barely play fur elise: “Yes.”
not bad as torrent etude
Fantaisie Impromptue is almost simple in fact
@@stevencaillot4897 Hahahahahaha!
@@KinoDerToaster It's true, this piece is not that hard.
😂😂😂😂 it took me months and months to be able to play fur Elise. Keep trying 😂
I don't only love your play Mr. Yu, but also your personality, you are awesome!
He is really an EPIC and SKILLED pianist. I love the way he play those complicated pieces like they are very easy to play, just like a kid there and just want to make fun. Without sheet music, without looking at the keyboard, without messing up the pedaling or tempo. I'm sure that he play this instrument more than 15 years. I enjoy your videos and playing a lot. I guess most of your fans who love classical/pop music have the same thing to say.
It's not the years but quality of practice. If you dedicate yourself, you can play this level within 1.5-2 years.
@@kaberigomes2117 are you a pianist?
@@PilotPianoGuy Yes and no. I started playing the keyboard and then the piano. But don't play professionally, if that's what you mean by pianist.
@@kaberigomes2117 a bit longer than that
@@fidsvids4760 For you maybe it took longer than what i suggested. I understand. So it depends on the individual, you could say. 👍
Basically just play every C-sharp minor piece ever lol
And then throw in a random D-flat Major for contrast
Your reactions just sum up how I feel every time I watch one of your videos. Great job man!
I play piano too. But I hate talking while playing. I'm literally that concentrated. So good job. You don't even look

2. Moonlight sonata intense (3:18)
3. Moonlight sonata without pedal (3:29)
4. Moonlight sonata left focus (3:40)
5. Moonlight sonata 3rd movement (4:04)
6. Etude 10-4 torrent (4:34)
7. Fantasie impromptu (5:24)

Know most of those names already but thank you so much! 🤗🎹
I think I you have the times 1 spot too high
You're a funny guy. So skilled, so practiced, so entertaining. I imagine you brighten a lot of lives.
I love the energy in this video. It gives me a sudden urge to practice playing difficult pieces.
"You don't want to play something too hard." Bro.
She's gonna be: "WOW, he knows how to work those fingers"
Lol 🤣😂
Eta non🤣
😉
HEHEHE
True story
This guy defiantly practiced 40hr a day he is talking and coming up with jokes and looking at the camera and his fingers moves more accurately than i do after finger bleeding
Besides the playing being great I gotta say it's fun seeing you holding in laughter for almost 10 minutes over this idea and the way you describe it lol. Really good vid :)
Piano version of "I did some building off camera"
Can we just appreciate the host's beautiful voice
This whole video is lionel laughing hysterically
I still can't get over the dexterity and accuracy you have in your left hand.. My piano teacher left something out somewhere along the way when I was a kid.
Charming, super talented and I’m in❤️. Your crush is SO blessed. Thank you for lighting up the world with your warmth!
That transition from moonlight sonata to Etude 10-4 “Torrent” (Chopin) WAS SO CLEAN!!!!!
Right!?
ikr
69 likes yup
The fact he can play that while playing out a whole story line in his head and commentating on what he’s doing absolutely diddles my mind
Adding a story to your performance was a great idea. How creative! Love it 😍
I'm 47 and just beginning.... (have 2 adult children so no need to impress a crush) but your laughter, enthusiasm and talent inspire me to just play for fun no matter what! Thanks for your videos!
I love how thrilled and proud he is of his own mashup. 🤣 That's what self love is!
I love his vibes.
3rd movement is impressive. It's also my fav movement from Moonlight Sonata.
Imagine being this talented in one thing, but being so far off from attracting your crush. Kind of puts things in perspective. What a world we are living in. Good luck with your crush.
I absolutely love this video! Laughed all the way trough haha. Hope I will be abe to play this one day lol.
Just get this guy to 1million please he deserves it to much 😂, he laughing his a$$ off while nicely telling me i will never be able to play this 😂
I don't think it would work if your crush in the party is Tiffany Poon, Lionel.
Well, that'd be a problem
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Is she actually his crush? I haven't been following his channel long enough yet.
But he would still gain her attention. I mean - how many people in the party can play at his level?
@@Nickayz2 we don't know. It's just a joke: what happened is that in a community post of him, he posted a picture with her and he also said that he really likes the way she plays, and that he has been following her for a long time (following online, but he said that later, so we joked about it)
OH MY GOD! THIS IS MY FAVOURITE TH-cam VIDEO I HAVE EVER SEEN! THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME DIE LAUGHING FOR 9 MINUTES STRAIGHT
i can proudly say i predicted you playing moonlight sonata 3 edm remix, the transition to torrent and fantasie, and the rach prelude in c# x g minor HAHA
Man .... I just crying laughing the whole video through ........ honestly I think that plan has given me a good idea for my crush .... I´ll go and buy a couple of those sheet musics that I am missing
After this performance, you will became the crush for other girls in the party
Your narrating made it very easy to fantasize this scenario happening and it was a wonderful time, I was the coolest guy at the party, thanks! :)
