3/21/19 - Killer RS3L Horn Action on BNSF 555 West

Former Santa Fe 555 leads the southbound BNSF local out of Centralia, Illinois with Alex at the throttle, making more good use of 555's RS3L. Enjoy!

I saw BNSF 555 a few days ago on Galveston Island over near Pier 39 on the northwest side of the island. There was a bunch of BNSF power parked over there and I noticed a few warbonets amongst them. Didn't have a chance to whip out my phone and take a picture. I was on my way to the Galveston Railroad Museum and our route just happened to take us down Harborside Dr. where all of the rail yards are.

Man this is saddening, I just got confirmation that 555 was scrapped recently. As for it's horn i have no idea, but I'm going to try and see what happened to it
