Just got the U4s a few days ago and to be honest that's the first review from you which simply doesn't match my experience. I kind of don't understand why almost no reviewer with the exception of aftersound reviews, doesn't stress enough this amaaazing atmospheric presentation!! It's like 90% of people in this hobby(who maybe can't afford it) would absolutely adore it!😊 I have to say what a fantastic release! I understand Volür is probably a better IEM and it'll should be at almost $2500. But for around $1000...surreal ❗️☀️✌️Btw also just received Symphonium Helios and love it so much
Having heard many iems in 500-3000 bucks range, the u4s are definitely in a category 1200+. I have the Monarch Mk2 which i personaly ranked very slightly above the u12t and find myself listening to the u4s all the time, when the Monarchs are unused since i got the u4s. I dont even miss the MMk2- first time in my life. Sometimes i pull the MMk2 out of the box but after 2-3 comparisons, they go back to a box. The u4s are amazing if you value musicality, liquidity of the sound and overall music flow. They are amazing. The meat on the bone, the power, the space and overall drive to the music, all combined, leave most iems behind. The u4s are fantasticaly balanced, warmish and very enjoyable. I personally cant see the reason of having 3 mediocre, cheaper iems instead of just this one.
I have both the U12t and the Monarch MK2 and I can't even listen to the Monarch anymore. Its treble sound hot and metallic compared to the U12t, and vocals sound way too recessed on some songs. The U12t is superior in everything else in my opinion except for maybe bass quantity, although even that is close.
@@michaelp.3485 The Monarchs have smoother treble than the u12t which can be piercing at times. Also the timbre and vocals are more natural ans realistic on the Monarchs. They have more body and sound bigger. The u12t wins in 3D stage reproduction, stage width and bass quantity with less powerful sources. Plug the Monarch to the more powerful dap, dac/amp and they will show their whole potential. The u12t sound thinner in comparison then. I spent some extended time on A/B comparisons and the Monarch just sound slightly better with good recordings, especially where there is focus on vocals.
@@michaelp.3485 Well, i did, especially listening Genesis and other sharper recorder music. But i really love the u12t and i completely understand your love towards them. They are amazing so if you like them more, just enjoy! I just found myself appreciating the Monarchs more natural timbre and even smoother trebles. Both are great and one of the most amazing iem on the market right now.
I find the monarch mk2 to be way more mid focused than the u4s and a better all rounder. The u4s is definitely more fun but not suitable for all genres or treble sensitive people.
I just got this pair and I can not stress how much im in love with it. Nice visual presentation on the APEX modules that is very well done. I also find myself stuck on the m15 for quite a while.
Just finished the video now .. there is a huge difference between the way you talk about u4s and the plunge audio unity ... The fruit part was funny though 😂😂❤
Not a big fan of the U4S for the money not only did it not do anything special like the U12T but it was so overclassed by IEM 1/5 price like the new Simgot EA1000 I had hopes for this one.😭
Have been enjoying these with m15 and eq (raising around 1K makes these more spacious) to make these brighter. I really enjoy listening these, sometimes over he1000se. Sound is clean, well separated and warm (depending on module). Nicely done review. PS: Don't forget to eat your carrot.
Really interesting review, I'm glad you covered whether to buy or not at the end in the way you did. One thing though, apple pie with cheese... am I missing something?
Unfortunately this set is out of reach for my wallet. It sounds like a set I would very interested in otherwise. The Penon Fan2 and the Venture Electronics SIE are my most anticipated sets atm.

I have never encountered one instance where the U12t treble have sounded piercing. Different ears pal. We all hear things differently.

Unfinished Sympathy is my favorite Massive Attack track ❤
Went back to watch this video. The Dong Wong example on bass was the best thing ever.
First video of yours I have watched. OMG, love the visuals! Count me as a new subscriber!

😊 Great review and experience explained in a FLAVOR way 😉
Bit lengthy though.
Well I'm going to rock some out of my FAN2 before your impressions 🎉
Basically either save for the u12t or look elsewhere at much cheaper but still great sets

Apple Pie with cheese is a thing my dad loved it? Me not so much bit a upgrade to some I guess.
Are you going to review the 64 audio Volur?
I don't think so nobody in our group has plans to purchase that one ... But you never know.

The graph of the FAN2 is realistic and the FAN2 sounds as balanced as it looks!
