Even though I never finished the game by not Defeating Bowser and giving up my game to someone, I instantly regretted it. I didn't know how to defeat Bowser. I wished I did so I can hear this ending theme.
So I played through this game as a kid and I have this memory that upon beating Bowser any subsequent times after the first time that in the end photo you can see him in his clown car in the sky far behind the three characters (I believe it was above Mario's right hand that you could see him in the corner hiding in the clouds). But when I played through the GBA expansion on Switch this did not happen. I'm not sure if this was just a false memory, or if you have to beat Bowser again before finishing all 96 exits (which I had 100% the game before beating him a second and third time).
I like how I started this game when I was 3 and beat it at 12, but it froze when I got to bowser so I only beat the snes version. But I can beat gba koopie either way

As far as I remember, whoever defeated Bowser and saves the Princess will be in front.

This is and always will be my favorite Mario Game. I remember getting this 2006 with my brand new Gameboy Advance SP And I instantly fell in love.

This version of Luigi is really good too
