Mr. TheShelfman, the demo to your game is too satisfying. I've spent 5 minutes just switching between the 5x5 square and the circle, I'm going to run out of demo time before I play the game! This game looks incredible too! Well done! 🏠
"I didn't know building a cozy came coule be this stressful". Yes. This, so very much. I'm developing one as well and I hadn't expected to find so much stress in it :D I've played the demo of Le chateau and liked it!
@@TheShelfman ignoring the inventory, breaking people's skull and the juicy blood flowing while thinking how their family is gonna end up is pretty cozy tho (istg I am just being sarcastic......)
Hahaha I love that What actually happened is that I change its scale when placing, and then it grows to its original scale again. But for some reason only the y got scaled and the rest didn't. And it never grew again😂
Incredibly impressive you made this in 7 days! I like the editing and whole process, but to be perfectly honest... I feel like doing all this to make another version of existing thing is a bit silly. Don't get me wrong, the game look and plays very good, just in my opinion, that time could be invested in adding new satisfying things to the game, or making it more expandable as a city builder. I know it's just a 7 day project, and it's all about learning new things, but experimenting with new stuff is always a good idea. As I say, it's still impressive, and you should be proud of what you did, and why not expand it and make the second video called: How I upgraded my Cozy Game in (Number of days) ?
Thanks! And I totally get what you mean. That's what the next few videos are gonna be basically. About how I spent a bunch of time polishing and expanding on the concept etc. The game was fun but rough after 7 days. No longer a The Block clone, but still not quite its own thing. Now it's entirely its own thing!
@@A120AMIR12 Maybe someday! I want to focus more on the actual games I want to make rather than challenges right now. It's just a coincidence that this game started with a challenge haha

I started making this game nearly *1 year ago*
This was just the first 7 days of development😳
More devlogs coming soon!
You have no idea how proud it makes me to have had a part in the creation of this! Really looking forward to the imminent release :D
Honestly man, you saved my butt haha
Without the tutorial, idk what this game would've become

Hahaha I love that. Hope you get some good demo time in after all. Thanks for playing 😁
I love the look of this game. Very cosy! I can't wait to hear more about it.
Thanks Skeffles! I'll be sharing more very soon😁
Very cool! Im 10 minutes into the demo and I feel like I've already reached true inner peace.
The world will be a better place for it (but seriously, thanks for playing!😄)
don't you just hate it when you accidentally create the next skyrim?
It happens. Last time I accidentally made God of War and it was quite the experience
My headcanon is that he didn't find French the most beautiful version of the word and instead called the game d'Schlass in Luxembourgish
Brb sending Steam support a message to change the name

@@TheShelfman i must’ve missed the part where you said 10 months 😂 awesome stuff
@@DrDrastic624 I don't think I actually say it haha. I believe I just said "nearly one year"
Very very nice! Didn't realise this is how Le Chateau started! So seeing where it is now is great! You should be proud!
Thank you Saul! I'm definitely very happy to see how much it has grown😁
wow this was awesome, i finally got some inspiration and motivation to create a game
That's fantastic! Good luck 😁
WOHOOOO! I was so confused when you said 7 days knowing you've been working on it for so long haha😂
Hahaha the plot twist at the end was a real shock for everyone lol
I love this pixelated look. Congrats on creating this in only 7 days! I can relate with the french title, did the same with my current project. 🍷
Thank you! French titles for the win!
Can we all just acknowledge the bread in the background 😅

It's my lunch!
really looking forward to fully playing this game!
Thank you 😁
My guy really said escape from Tarkov is "Cozy"... What the hell are you smoking my guy, EFT makes me sweat blood from stress
Me too. Just looking at the inventory gives me an anxiety attack. But some people consider it their chill game😭
