you could try using vinyl caulking and smooth it on with an old gift card. it may shrink a little but shouldn't crack. You could always do a second pass if it shrunk too much and left a small gulley.
My only addition to this process would have been to add more filler/sand/body to the covering putty to more easily hide the styrofoam texture, otherwise this was perfect.
Thank you! Once everything dried and hardened, you're right - still could see the styrofoam in some spots. But it's a good lesson for the next time I try it :)
Nice. The sand castle mold part turned out good. Personal opinion: The vines need a bit more color and a lot more flocking Maybe soak the twine in white glue before applying it?
Actually since making this I started dipping the vines in AP speedpaints mixed with water, and letting them dry out. The fibers stick together after, and the vine has a nicer color.
That's very cool. It came out very nice. I don't have a real need for terrain for my games but will definitely keep this video handy in case I do in the future.
Nice work! I'm always blown away with what people come up with from basically junk. (: Will have to remember to pick up some of those tags next year, I know that I've seen 'em around. There's probably a really obvious reason, but why salt? I mean, i'm not going to drink it? (-. For filling in the gaps between the 2 parts, doesn't Gorilla Glue expand/foam when it comes in contact with moisture?
@@WatchItPaintIt Ah, you learn something every day! Tbh, only ever used 2 kinds of Gorilla Glue so thought it worked with all^^ As for the salt, ah, when you explain it, so obvious. :D
Those wooden tags are so cool. Will have to keep my eyes peeled in the dollar stores! 😊
You guys are my go to channel for anything painting or miniature related.
Thank you! really glad to hear that!
Awesome video! Can’t wait to see how your ruins tie together
Ridiculously imaginative use of totally unrelated materials. One man's trash is truly another man's treasure. Nice!
Thank you! It was fun trying to figure out what each bit of junk could be used for :)

Right on - I'll give that a try!

Nice build dude! I’m addicted to watching terrain builds. So I look forward to binging your entire channel now lol
Thank you! I have a lot more DIY building projects that I'm working on - not super popular, but whatever :) I love doing them!
Good job man 👍🏻
Just found this channel. You got a like just for the opening "promotion". Now I'll subscribe and watch the rest...

Some gorilla glues do expand when they touch moisture. This wasn't one of them. The salt is used to kill bacteria - works like a preservative.
