I am beyond flattered to be given such a prominent shout-out! Your videos have been a huge influence on me and are always so inspiring. I found it really interesting to hear you talk in this video about how your style is usually to measure and plan everything. I am quite the opposite. I usually just hold things up and see if they look right before glueing them down. Incorporating your method of precise cuts, measurement and scratch-building with chipboard really made me feel like i can build anything and elevated my craftsmanship. If my improvisational style can offer some inspiration to you, one of my hobby heroes, that is so cool!

So cool you called out Eric. Been following him for about 2 weeks now as TH-cam recommended his channel with "Wyloch's Armory viewers also watch" Been using the Vallejo Rust Texture, Streaking Grime, Slimy Grime Light and Dark on my Death Guard such great paints for weathering those nasty models. Another awesome build, love your ascetic on your Sci-Fi terrain.

When the small walkway was placed between the tanks and fit perfectly... Damn thats precision and looks way better than on top. Loved the self awareness. Great build. Now put some numbers on those tanks and it'll be perfection.

    Woah, fancy intro!
Love seeing your models on the terrain at the end. Really pulls everything together and reminds me of the pictures of games you'd see in the Warhammer rulebooks I had growing up. Yours is probably my favorite crafting youtube (maybe tied with Miscast Terrain) so I'm happy to see you posting again! (I have a WIP sector mechanicus set done following your instructions. I've gotten 18 towers built and now just need to build the walkways and connectors and paint it all)

Nice foray into a new type of grimdark weathering. If I had one piece of feedback it would be to blend or draw-out the runs of the various washes so that they don't form large, distinct streaks that are out-of-scale (aka, real-life human-size drips).
Also, you know I love to see a gun in a build :P This is a really great project!

I'm really like the idea of an a promethium extractor deployable from sky or ship (like the most part of imperium asthetics) and with that in mind you can build it much modular and minimalistic like you do, I will probably try this with my old "logo boinicle canisters" (they look so very scify) and with old parts of hotwheels ramps and stuff

Hey Bill, great build, you've had a good/flowing day, with luck filling your sails. I've gotta turn my craft to DIY to patch up the bathroom after alterations have made a real mess, so duh, nothings running smooth! Those walkways are EXCELLENT the girders...DOUBLY so. If you wanted higher vantage points [you were right to abandon those grates on the top, btw] you'd need to do a secong level of walkways with connecting ladders...cool; but aLOT more work!

I bought a few (snow and mud) which were really good, but wasn't too sure on the oil and grease effects types as I've been using enamel for those. After seeing what you managed to achieve with them in this model though think I'll have to invest ... Hope you and your family are staying safe ... it looks very nice, I only have a critique, please take it as constructive, the surface of the tanks looks off to scale, it looks weird, big drops and lateral pooling doesnt scale good, I dont know how those products from vallejo dries, but a way to solve this off scale is brushing up and down while its drying, also if you have stencils, when you have an array of tanks like this its normal to label them, I love your work

@@WylochsArmory thanks for your reply. it was meant as constructive criticism. 😄👍
9:19 It seems you dont break up long paint streaks. It takes the beautiful work that you've completed elsewhere and looks like brush strokes.
13:20 For instance on the "floor of your base" there are several long black-wash brush strokes.
That could easilly be fixed either during painting process. By swirling and stippling your brush to make sure that there arent long uninterrupted strokes that dry up in flat, open areas.
On the back end, you could use a sponge and dab rust or oily effects to break up the appearance of long strokes.
You could use pigments for this purpose.
Your airbrushed yellow arrows or any other pattern would work great over the top to hide this too!
You could even sprinkle gravel or chunked up bits from an unused model kit.
You could add debris or additional pipe fittings.
Anything to distract the eye and break that up. Loved the sludge on the cans!
I know it might sound like nitpicking, but you could go from a good project to a really memorable stand-out project.
      Hope this helps.
Your videos make for great content.
      Sincerest thanks.
