It took me an hour to understand why my Thundercage, with almost the same stats, was only doing a third of your damage until I realized that your opponent was set to level 1.

I prefer Slow Art over Action and Reaction. Add Hawk Eye and it’ll make most guns laser accurate with less recoil. The DPS number means nothing if you’re missing half of your shots or firing in bursts.
Weapon element doesn't help just with bossing because you get a 30% weapon firearm atk for free 100% of the time but in the form of an element , if the mobs are weak to that element your 30% could become 45% free firearm atk

The Freyna comment killed me because i feel that. Freyna first Descendant I put an Activator into and I cant for the life figure out how you Freyna mains enjoy this game. Right now she just feels underpowered like severely.
To enjoy her u need a mod that drops from dead bride and the fallen hope, aside from buiding the well it is a toxic explosions fiesta. i can imagine ur pain tho, made the same mistake and had to build her correctly.

@Kizoku_RK I would only put that mod on high ammo capacity weapons and even then I use mental focus, they are both special mods so only 1 can be used at a time
I will certainly try my best, its tough for me to build alot of guns, I'm f2p apart from battle pass and never had a energy activator drop, but I will grind all of today to get at least one I hope
@@nariff- for some reason I get energy activator blue prints all drops all the time, I have three already crafted and 5 blue prints waiting to be crafted, what the game refused to drop for me is Crystalisation Catalysts. Can’t wait for you to do a build on the Enduring Legacy! That would be mint. It’s got high crit (20%) like the thunder cage so I’m guessing the build will pretty much be the way you have built the thunder cage right?

7:51 the Tamer isn't a crit NOR a weak point weapon, but you should choose one path to go down regardless. Given that it has some bloom that will make weak points inconsistent, crit is marginally better. Also for the Thunder Cage, Reload Insight is a good pairing with Concentration Priority. Building into weak point isn't the best idea because not only is it better as a mobbing weapon where you don't always focus weak points, but the weak point multiplier is quite poor too. For the DPS number, weak point doesn't count, so you only saw the DPS increase from the crit portion of the module. Firing Fiesta is okay for the Thunder Cage, but Lethal Finish and Sweeping Squad are better in any mobbing situation
@@Antonin1738 you can, but it's hard to optimize it for both mobbing and bossing with the same sockets. I'd recommend getting something like a Python or Enduring Legacy for bossing instead
The reason you want to go into weakpoint damage with the thunder cage is so that you can mob better, weakpoint + crit = 4 million damage on explosions, I play on console so I find It pretty easy to go for weakpoints....however on oc o can't hit a weakpoint to save my life😂. I'll jump on today to try and grind some new mods and test something new for it tho.
Beam weapons, do not look for: Crit Crit Dmg Fire rate Instead, look for: Attrib. Trigger rate Firearm Atk Max Range Movespeed while firing Reasons: Beam Rifles have the charge time mechanic separated from your fire rate. Having a high fire rate on a beam rifle expends all munitions leading to shorter charges. Beam Rifles do damage over time instead of the usal "hit", meaning more that you keep the laser pointer onto a surface, the more sustained damage you deal. Beam Rifles have a charge rate mod but do not assume it's for you to use as a burst before you run out of ammo. It's for you to be able to return back to sustained dps. Beam Rifles have the shittiest movespeed while firing and possibly the heaviest weapons in the game which will lower your sprint speed. If you wanna combat this, mod the weapon with weapon change speed and have a general ammo handgun to switch to and back. Handguns have the highest sprint speed which is great for Bunny pulses on early to mid game. Beam Rifles have a hard max range so depending on what you pick, if you opt for the close range one(5m) be ready to tank hits or be a dodge god in boss fights. Beam Rifles fight on elemental rock-paper-scissors so they have high attribute trigger rates. They're pretty good on early game especially on missions wherein a mission monster appears. Chill will give them frostbite and the more chill elem. mods you have, the higher the odds of it happening.
One thing i noticed, the beam rifle does not do any physical damage. You can set in the options to see the damage seperated and i've noticed, the main damage of my beams were elemental damage instead of the other way round with normal ammo weapons.
I'm trying to learn so please don't take this as negative but could you explain why you think that focusing on the Tammers weak point than the critical hit?, I'm only asking as I'm a little confused as my Tammer even know the Crit Hit is around 10× but the weak point damage is only like 1.0 something with a 5x buff I'd have thought focusing on the critical hit side of things having the higher buffs would be better to work into?, is it because the BGS works differently to how it tries to perceive?, got into the hard mode now and noticed that things aren't as OP as they used to be and wanted to change things up.
@simonriley6198 the tamer just has low base crit stats, I crewmember exactly right now but I think it's something like 10% crit rate 1.6x crit damage, that's just not high enough to be a crit weapon, for a good crit weapon you want above 20% crit rate and 2x crit damage
@nariff- yeah I get the crit part as I did what you said with the Thundercage and it's a lot better, sorry to be a pain but what should I be putting in as regards as modules for the Tamer?, I thought you said weak point damage ?, does that scale differently to crit hit then I'm only asking as my weak point is really low on my tamer too, should I maybe try to find a tamer with a bit more better stats to upgrade and replace my old one with?, thanks
@nariff- also I'm confused a little as I hear people say you can use a weapon to help Kyle build up MP quicker and that sounds like something I'd like to get my hands on 😅 I think it was a LMG also so I could just replace the Tamer with it in some situations I guess
@simonriley6198 there is a base 1.5x damage for any weakpoint attack, then your tamer also has more weakpoint damage that stacks onto that I belive, so you have something like 1.5 x1.5(you can put weakpoint mods on to make it higher) asking it so your weakpoints do big damage, you should also put an element on the weapon, it adds a good bit of dmg as just straight up extra
5:30 you really don't want to use any crit mods with the python Fire rate up > bullet rain or any other fire rate mod Imo elemental mods are required. It's a significant amount of damage increase
Edging shot is a bad crit mod. Use another purple crit mod Insight focus i believe The crit rate difference is no more than 10%(so about 2% actual) and you get more crit damage, and you don't lose firearm atk.
damn bro have you farmed alot of rocks like using sharen and doing outpost i have over 50 rocks atm and used over 100 ive gotten so many energy activators while farming for other things like descendants, weapons like afterglow x5 and farming veteran set pieces at a outpost getting rocks loot and exp. i feel ppl who have not got eneergy act having been farming effectively lol i got like 6 and usied 4 adn i dont want them anymore !!
i got a thing to reset? my weapon level and make it stronger? but i have no idea what terminal does it. our robot friend gave me the stuff but not too detailed instructions.
I know recoil doesnt mean much especially on thunder cage, but I see so many using action reaction which does make recoil slightly worse. You can get the same firearm atk boost with anti matter rounds, and it raises crit dmg 6.5%
I never thought i was bad at games like this. But i hit Hard mode and this game is kicking my ass. I cant kill Executioner on hard. People's weapons are vastly more powerful than mine. Their base weapons are even more powerful than mine fully modded. Yes i haven't leveled 7 times yet. But i have leveled 4 times. The most damage ive done on Executioner before he times out is around 13 mill
After damage testing, running the blue firing speed has done better than bullet rain at least for me. That 5% is significant. If you’re not going for crit, that is.
Helpful tip, energy activators don't drop, you have to farm the materials and craft them, being that you've progressed so far into the game you should know that already, thank you for explaining modding the weapon though, this will definitely be helpful, been seeing others in game just wrecking with the Thundercage while mine is struggling where I'm at in the game, knowing what to focus on is gonna help, thank you
This game is Bork I have all the stuff for a ultimate and it says I don't same with ultimate Gunn I grid so hard and can't get my stuff it s uck it happen before so I rest game nor doing it again

Great vid just one thing...how do you not know you can just build energy activators? Or are you saying you cant get the parts to drop? Bc ive gotten the bp to drop not even trying when farming other stuff.
You crit significantly higher on the enemies he's using to showcase the damage numbers. I get 330K crits on the same enemies, but only 110k on the other 2 types. Which I find interesting as they do not seem to have exposed weak points due to armor. However, this build does crit about 5% more often than the build I was using which is quite significant in total damage output per mag.
@jeffrey778 thats actually a really good idea, but if they wanted to this I think the should copy the crit system in warframe, (orange crits and red crits) I think that's the only way it could be justified to get upto or over 100% crit
Wrong. There are sources of flat crit %; 10% crit can build crit(for example, tamer) and still get decent benefit - it just makes crit less of a priority (over weakspot...etc.) if you're not using those sources of flat crit %.
Just finished the story last night so that's all my drops now dropping at level 100. Time to start building my characters and guns. Will be looking at this for some guidance later. Nice one
Yea if its lower than those I suggest don't build into crit, you should focus on the base mods like firearm atk. Fire rate etc. But the effct trigger rate on a weapon is how often an element effect is triggered, so that's always worth a look into, also weakpoint damage...if none of the stats are appealing, don't be afraid to just use a different weapon.
Nice, I'm running the 4 piece Veteran external component set with a build almost identical to yours. The Veteran has 5.1% weapon crit rate Firearm ATK 6.6% 5.8% weak-point damage That firearm ATK offsets that negative 15% on the high crit card a little. I'm experimenting with the acrobat 4 piece now. 2 Set Effects: ・Skill Power+ 1.7% Firearm ATK+2.8% 4 Set Effects: ・Firearm Critical Hit Rate +5.9% ・Skill Critical Hit Rate +21%

I see this in almost all youtube videos, why are you doing testing with lvl 1 mobs, and not with lvl 100 mobs? they will give you different numbers, more like what you will see when you actually go out and farm any endgame stuff, since you'll be dealing with lvl100 enemies there. for demonstration purposes, I get it, the proportional increases will probably be the same, with lvl 1 mobs there's bigger numbers, etc. it just will feel strange that when you go out to use your maxed out gun you won't actually see these dmg numbers as they will be lower due to higher enemy defence.
@jazzjunkie1986 ahhh yes, that would be it, on lvl 100 enimies I hit over 200k instead of over 300k, when I play on hard I change the element for the enimies I'm fighting not just for bossing
I only showed crit but I mentioned that if your weapon isnt crit, then build it into its highest base stat eg. weak point damage or element trigger rate, every weapon will have sight differences but you should start every build by looking at those 3 stats.
You can get 350k+ on the thundercage. "Slow art" is the key. Atk+ and -FR just use the FR mod to nullify the "-" part. My Thunder cage is almost at 400k and I still have some room for improvement. I do believe there is another mod that is critical to the build I have. Crit dmg+ and -reload. The mods with negative are much stronger, but you lose something in return and have to nullify it.
You get 2 free activators for completing certain quests while progressing through the game, I can't remember the quests exactly but you'll see it in the reward, I think one is from the bunny questline
So in the end how would you build enduring legacy for exemple ? I see so much différence.. like with crit dmg, with atak colossus, with fire.. With fire module, with superheated gunbarell etc Im completely lost xD
Enduring legacy, I don't have one but I will suggest something for a build. 20% Cc, this is a good crit chance. 1.7x Cd, this is a good crit damage modifier for an lmg as they do allot more base dmg than smgs.(comparing to thundercage) So building this into crit is smart. It has a 1X weak point.....which means you literally get no bonus for hitting a weakpoint....do not build weak point. 4.76% trigger rate....not great for elemental damage either but I would still have an element on the gun as it does still help for bossing. It has a 2.7 second reload time modifier,(because I don't have this I don't know when your able to reload cancel)but 2.7 seconds shouldn't really need a reload modifier, I assume you can reload cancel at maybe 40-50% I'm trying to get all of the weapons now so I can make a build for all of them. Quick summary, build for firearm atk, crit rate, crit damage, fire rate and get the fireing fiesta mod instead of reload speed. Let me know if this helps at all.
Honestly the crit rate mods are pretty useless as you're going to hit a crit pretty often @ 20%.. Just mod for extra crit damage & forget chance.. Dps won't tell the full story w weakpoint damage..
20%, isn't enough and the crit rate mods are extremely useful, if you don't use them that's fine but for everyone else...this is objectively wrong, for example, base crit is 20% my crit is 40%....that's literally 2x as many crits witch means allot more dps
@leemattox7665 I've spent enough to get the battle pass thing, no more than that. I've only ever had 1 energy activator other than the the 2 free ones and it was used on the only ultimate I have(lepic)
Inztructions uncleared, gotta mod 1% critical chance beam rifle into cc, cd and weak point monsters, brb(just joking), ps got myself 6 energy activators so far, but that 10% viultimate viessa part?? N.O.P.E.
Yellow/Ultimate mods are the biggest way to do weapon dps/boss melts. Without them, you're build is not even close to complete, and firing fiesta isnt even the best one.

If your comparing the base crit, then it's pretty much the same, but I do think the reason the crit feels super low is because there's no rivens

Beam Rifles have a charge rate mod but do not assume it's for you to use as a burst before you run out of ammo. It's for you to be able to return back to sustained dps.
Beam Rifles have the shittiest movespeed while firing and possibly the heaviest weapons in the game which will lower your sprint speed. If you wanna combat this, mod the weapon with weapon change speed and have a general ammo handgun to switch to and back. Handguns have the highest sprint speed which is great for Bunny pulses on early to mid game.
Beam Rifles have a hard max range so depending on what you pick, if you opt for the close range one(5m) be ready to tank hits or be a dodge god in boss fights.
Beam Rifles fight on elemental rock-paper-scissors so they have high attribute trigger rates. They're pretty good on early game especially on missions wherein a mission monster appears. Chill will give them frostbite and the more chill elem. mods you have, the higher the odds of it happening.
One thing i noticed, the beam rifle does not do any physical damage.
You can set in the options to see the damage seperated and i've noticed, the main damage of my beams were elemental damage instead of the other way round with normal ammo weapons.

I'm trying to learn so please don't take this as negative but could you explain why you think that focusing on the Tammers weak point than the critical hit?, I'm only asking as I'm a little confused as my Tammer even know the Crit Hit is around 10× but the weak point damage is only like 1.0 something with a 5x buff I'd have thought focusing on the critical hit side of things having the higher buffs would be better to work into?, is it because the BGS works differently to how it tries to perceive?, got into the hard mode now and noticed that things aren't as OP as they used to be and wanted to change things up.
@simonriley6198 the tamer just has low base crit stats, I crewmember exactly right now but I think it's something like 10% crit rate 1.6x crit damage, that's just not high enough to be a crit weapon, for a good crit weapon you want above 20% crit rate and 2x crit damage
@nariff- yeah I get the crit part as I did what you said with the Thundercage and it's a lot better, sorry to be a pain but what should I be putting in as regards as modules for the Tamer?, I thought you said weak point damage ?, does that scale differently to crit hit then I'm only asking as my weak point is really low on my tamer too, should I maybe try to find a tamer with a bit more better stats to upgrade and replace my old one with?, thanks
@nariff- also I'm confused a little as I hear people say you can use a weapon to help Kyle build up MP quicker and that sounds like something I'd like to get my hands on 😅 I think it was a LMG also so I could just replace the Tamer with it in some situations I guess
@simonriley6198 there is a base 1.5x damage for any weakpoint attack, then your tamer also has more weakpoint damage that stacks onto that I belive, so you have something like 1.5 x1.5(you can put weakpoint mods on to make it higher) asking it so your weakpoints do big damage, you should also put an element on the weapon, it adds a good bit of dmg as just straight up extra

Edging shot is a bad crit mod. Use another purple crit mod Insight focus i believe The crit rate difference is no more than 10%(so about 2% actual) and you get more crit damage, and you don't lose firearm atk.

damn bro have you farmed alot of rocks like using sharen and doing outpost i have over 50 rocks atm and used over 100 ive gotten so many energy activators while farming for other things like descendants, weapons like afterglow x5 and farming veteran set pieces at a outpost getting rocks loot and exp. i feel ppl who have not got eneergy act having been farming effectively lol i got like 6 and usied 4 adn i dont want them anymore !!

I know recoil doesnt mean much especially on thunder cage, but I see so many using action reaction which does make recoil slightly worse. You can get the same firearm atk boost with anti matter rounds, and it raises crit dmg 6.5%
What percentage of firearm atk boost do you get from maxed antimatter round?
I looked it up. At max level antimatter round only give +26% firearm atk. Whereas the action reaction module give +61% firearm atk. Big difference.
Action and reaction is a huge dps buff in comparison to that mod
I bet that extra recoil kinda hurts on a controller.

I never thought i was bad at games like this. But i hit Hard mode and this game is kicking my ass. I cant kill Executioner on hard. People's weapons are vastly more powerful than mine. Their base weapons are even more powerful than mine fully modded. Yes i haven't leveled 7 times yet. But i have leveled 4 times. The most damage ive done on Executioner before he times out is around 13 mill

After damage testing, running the blue firing speed has done better than bullet rain at least for me. That 5% is significant. If you’re not going for crit, that is.
I switched these the other day on my Thundercage and it really is noticeable. Couldn't believe how different it sounded, even.
It almost feels like RPM isn't on a gradual slope, moreso a step system. That's how different it feels.

Helpful tip, energy activators don't drop, you have to farm the materials and craft them, being that you've progressed so far into the game you should know that already, thank you for explaining modding the weapon though, this will definitely be helpful, been seeing others in game just wrecking with the Thundercage while mine is struggling where I'm at in the game, knowing what to focus on is gonna help, thank you
To build an energy activator, you need an energy activator blueprint to drop at 3-6% chance.

You crit significantly higher on the enemies he's using to showcase the damage numbers. I get 330K crits on the same enemies, but only 110k on the other 2 types. Which I find interesting as they do not seem to have exposed weak points due to armor. However, this build does crit about 5% more often than the build I was using which is quite significant in total damage output per mag.

No, you should do the math and figure out what does the highest DPS for the gun you're building
Outside of fire attk & fire rate, weak point damage, rounds per mag &/or overall rounds.

There are sources of flat crit %; 10% crit can build crit(for example, tamer) and still get decent benefit - it just makes crit less of a priority (over weakspot...etc.) if you're not using those sources of flat crit %.

Yea if its lower than those I suggest don't build into crit, you should focus on the base mods like firearm atk. Fire rate etc. But the effct trigger rate on a weapon is how often an element effect is triggered, so that's always worth a look into, also weakpoint damage...if none of the stats are appealing, don't be afraid to just use a different weapon.
Nice, I'm running the 4 piece Veteran external component set with a build almost identical to yours.
The Veteran has
5.1% weapon crit rate
Firearm ATK 6.6%
5.8% weak-point damage
That firearm ATK offsets that negative 15% on the high crit card a little.
I'm experimenting with the acrobat 4 piece now.

I see this in almost all youtube videos, why are you doing testing with lvl 1 mobs, and not with lvl 100 mobs? they will give you different numbers, more like what you will see when you actually go out and farm any endgame stuff, since you'll be dealing with lvl100 enemies there.
for demonstration purposes, I get it, the proportional increases will probably be the same, with lvl 1 mobs there's bigger numbers, etc. it just will feel strange that when you go out to use your maxed out gun you won't actually see these dmg numbers as they will be lower due to higher enemy defence.
i don't understand how you get those numbers without mods. have almost the same TC god rolls and not even close DMG to this shown in video.

almost same build but imo +magazine and sweeping modules are much better for dps actually (boss)

You only showed how to build a crit weapon. What about weapons that have low crit.
I only showed crit but I mentioned that if your weapon isnt crit, then build it into its highest base stat eg. weak point damage or element trigger rate, every weapon will have sight differences but you should start every build by looking at those 3 stats.

You can get 350k+ on the thundercage. "Slow art" is the key. Atk+ and -FR just use the FR mod to nullify the "-" part. My Thunder cage is almost at 400k and I still have some room for improvement. I do believe there is another mod that is critical to the build I have. Crit dmg+ and -reload. The mods with negative are much stronger, but you lose something in return and have to nullify it.
How do u get free activators?
You get 2 free activators for completing certain quests while progressing through the game, I can't remember the quests exactly but you'll see it in the reward, I think one is from the bunny questline

Enduring legacy, I don't have one but I will suggest something for a build.
20% Cc, this is a good crit chance.
1.7x Cd, this is a good crit damage modifier for an lmg as they do allot more base dmg than smgs.(comparing to thundercage)
So building this into crit is smart.
It has a 1X weak point.....which means you literally get no bonus for hitting a weakpoint....do not build weak point.
4.76% trigger rate....not great for elemental damage either but I would still have an element on the gun as it does still help for bossing.
It has a 2.7 second reload time modifier,(because I don't have this I don't know when your able to reload cancel)but 2.7 seconds shouldn't really need a reload modifier, I assume you can reload cancel at maybe 40-50%
I'm trying to get all of the weapons now so I can make a build for all of them.
Quick summary, build for firearm atk, crit rate, crit damage, fire rate and get the fireing fiesta mod instead of reload speed.
Let me know if this helps at all.

Honestly the crit rate mods are pretty useless as you're going to hit a crit pretty often @ 20%.. Just mod for extra crit damage & forget chance.. Dps won't tell the full story w weakpoint damage..
20%, isn't enough and the crit rate mods are extremely useful, if you don't use them that's fine but for everyone else...this is objectively wrong, for example, base crit is 20% my crit is 40%....that's literally 2x as many crits witch means allot more dps

Become a better TH-camr by using "properley" spelled English words "correctley".
Yellow/Ultimate mods are the biggest way to do weapon dps/boss melts. Without them, you're build is not even close to complete, and firing fiesta isnt even the best one.
