I am really fascinated from this interpretation. So colourful, magnificent estetic and sound. This is true sound of the cello. Thank you, and also the pianist incredibly follows the story of the cello interpretation. Bravo!!!
Beautifully interpreted and performed...both cello and piano...and so cleverly understated proving that LESS is MORE ! Also the filming of this piece is such a gift in that the cello part 'fingering' is shown so clearly...for a lazy cellist like myself this is such a bonus. Thank you thank you !
Mandozzi is a poet on this piece. The colors, the depth and his phrasing, really remarkable. Sure, it's a great cello he plays on but...that's only 20% of the story. Bravo!

Es gab da so ein Schlüsselerlebnis: Aus einem Winkel zwischen den Torsäulen zur Wiener Hofburg plötzlich Musik von einem Cello - ein tchechischer Musikstudent. Und er hat das Adagio so anrührend gespielt, dass einem fast die Tränen kamen ... Was mich interessieren würde: Wer sind hier die beiden Künstler? Ich finde nämlich, dass die Zwei sehr gut harmonieren. Vorhin habe ich bereits ein anderes Video mit einer Cello-Version angeschaut, da aber war mir das Piano einfach zu dominant und irgendwie "hart" im Vergleich zu dem traurig-schönen Violoncello. .
