Welcome to The Gel Lyfe - I started this channel as I've been a "sneakerhead" most of my life and built a solid sneaker collection of around 200 pairs.. BUT feel the "scene" has lost any REAL sense of community and sick and tired of seeing the same kicks online or on feet. Namely Jordan 1 (fukin Mids!), Nike Dunk Lows and Yeezy Peezy 350's!
So I started a mission to sell my entire collection and just focus on my favourite sneaker of all time... the Asics Gel Lyte 3!

Really enjoyed by this video! I started off my sneaker collecting journey with Converse and Vans. I went through a phase where I then collected nothing but Nike's and Jordans. From about 4 years ago I grew an appreciation for New Balance and have never looked back. I still collect these other brands as well but I'm predominantly into New Balance. Over the years I've fallen in love with some of the Saucony and Diadora releases as well. I recently copped the Salmon Toes (off StockX) and my god I love them so much! Staright to feet. I have a growing appreciation for ASICS so I guess thank you TH-cam algorithm for routing me to your channel lol. While NB is still my favourite brand I really want to get into ASICS much more.

@@thegellyfe Hey dude, Im not knocking your list but I have two questions. I wanted to know why the Wasabi"s are at #20 when I think from all the material's used on them trumps a lot of the shoes that are better placed on your list? Also, I think the Hanon Solstice, HAL Silver Screens, and the Concepts 8 Ball and Concepts Boston Tea Parties should of placed well on this list. Did you not like them for an certain reason, materials/execution/colorways? Great video dude and I was so waiting for it to drop to see what you placed and where. I put the solstice around 11/12 I think - which is pretty fair and not a fan of the Boston tea party or the HALs…. Saying that I am a FAN, just not too 20!.. tbh bro, it’s f*chin hard trying to organise them in a list.. 😅

Awesome video man. I've just gotten into collecting GL3s myself. (I have 4 pairs atm) Unfortunately I don't think I will own any "hype" collabs (maybe the Bottle Rocket one, but I'm waiting for a price drop on those); but that's OK, some of the GRs are fire too

@@thegellyfe yes I'm in that group man. But I think those were mostly from Europe? (I live in the Philippines) But yea, the closest thing to me getting a collab GL3s was last year's Monsoon Patrol. Shockingly they're just sitting at a store called "Sole Academy PH". Unf they're not in my size, so I ended up copping the 30th anniversary Citrus ones. Haven't worn it yet though, as I'm rocking (non-stop) one of the galaxy colorways that I got from Facebook marketplace. (from 2015, I believe? Planning to get the other one as well; just waiting for a steal price)

I know they were released after the video was out but I instantly felt in love in the Alley Cats! Knicks and Wildcats are probably the pairs I dream about having but for now will stick with new colabs and dope GRs ... my GLIII collecting journey is just starting.

new sub here. Love the videos! Thank you! I am putting my collection on hold to focus mainly on saucony shadows and AM1. I love the look and feel of the shadows and the collabs are just INSANE quality compared to junk made and horrible QC from Jordan brand and a lot of Nike. I like the look of the Gel Lyte 3! Can you please tell me how sizing is compared to either the shadows or air max 1s please? I wouldnt mind adding some of these to my collection. It is so nice to rarely I mean rarely see anyone wearing the same shoes I have on unlike wearing Jordans. I wish I wouldnt have waited to start collecting Saucony because some serious kick ass collabs are impossible to find in 2023. Any and all tips would be much appreciated! Thank you so much!
Hello Brother and love EVERYTHING about your comment.. Saucony's are on another level and there's some mad collabs!!.. To answer your question I'd probably go 1/2 a size up in a GL3 from AM1's but TTS should be ok!.. You get a lot of leeway with the split tongue!
