Hello Great Video,-we have the same trailer a 2014 Tracer Identical setup inside ,we enjoy the trailer very much. We had a issue with the Slide Rocker Switch( which control the slide) jammed in the "Closed" Position ,when we packed up to leave and did not notice . What this did unknown till we got home , was Burnt and Melted the insulation off the wiring harness into the wall behind the switch and melted the switch while putting power on the Slide Motor to Close when it was already closed .. The only thing that prevented a fire in the Tracer was ,2 resettable circuit breakers underneath the trailer towards the front , under the plastic belly covering . One supplies power to the slide and the other to the Awning .These circuits are powered the Whole Time and do not go thru the "Master On/Off switch inside the water filling section. like you would expect. The rocker switches are known to FAIL, so we now check to make sure they return to the center" Off" Position. I replaced the switch and wiring harness and installed a Master disconnect switch right on the Batteries 2x6 volt box . This shuts all Battery power to the unit in the event of a problem if your Boon Docking. Shore Power also power these circuits up . Just a Heads Up For your info keep up the great job of recording your trip --thanks from Surrey BC
Wow, thanks for the info. I haven't looked at much of the wiring under the trailer because of the sealed/insulated belly. The only wiring issue we've had so far (knock on wood) was with a signal wire shorting out. I cut into the underbelly and started shaking it around to figure out where the short was. It stopped shorting out and has worked ever since. 🤷♂️
Thanks Jerry. Yeah, we've really lucked out with just about all the camping spots we've been at. Really beautiful beach camping and a lot of it is still free, or very inexpensive.
Great video guys!! I was there a couple years ago but lots of places were closed because of coivd. Headed back soon and looking forward to some tent camping at Escondida!
Thanks, yes, the leaf springs still look good even though they've taken a lot of bumps. And we keep forgetting about the drone turning upside down trick. Mel will have to remember that next time she catches it!
Oh my! That was scary even to watch. The (what they refer to as) highway looks so narrow and the drop offs from the paved areas look very steep. Navigating those roads with all the big trucks wizzing by had to be alarmingly scary. I'm so happy you are both alright. Have you thought about driving with your hazard lights flashing. Maybe that will slow some of those trucks down... The campsites looked great, and happy you are able to make friends, enjoy the local areas, and ... well lets just say eat well. Good thing you didn't bring the scale LOL. Be safe and continue your epic trip.
Thanks! Yeah, it definitely got our pulse racing. We turn on our hazards if we're going below the speed limit, but for the most part, the trucks are good. They give as much space as they can and typically only pass when it's safe. We're continuing to have a great time and are being super careful when driving with the trailer.
Thanks man. Yeah, I was convinced the trailer was going over for a few seconds. Really fortunate that I had a bit of extra space on the highway to sort things out since the car coming towards us basically stopped after they saw the trailer rocking.
So if you can believe it, they were actually parked right next to us! If you look carefully on our drone footage, you'll see their van. 😁 We chatted with them a bit, and Mel helped them out with their dog.
Staying focused on your driving is what likely saved you from peril and allowed you to enjoy the beauty that followed. You guys sure are adventurous with those roads - thanks for sharing all that beauty!
Oh no, how scary!!! That reminds us of some scary times we’ve had driving on tiny roads. It feels like you’re going to fall right off! But we’re so glad you’re safe and sound. Looking forward to the next video! ❤
Thank-you, yeah we've been on some pretty sketchy roads with the trailer before, but this is definitely the scariest experience we've had to date. The roads are a bit better closer to Cabo, but we'll have to remember to be super vigilant when we get back up to that area again.
Nice! 50 years of Baja travel for me and I have seen that happen to friends. FYI - Drone use by anyone except a Mexican citizen (with drone permits) is a violation of their laws. My drone was confiscated at San Juanico for filming my surfing friends. I speak spanish and live in San Juanico, didn't matter. Even possession of a drone in Mexico by a non citizen is not allowed. Not my laws just passing the message. Not knowing another country's laws is not an excuse to Mexican law enforcement, so please be aware. Safe travels!
Hi Tim, we read up on drone laws before we came and as far as we understand, those regulations only cover drones heavier than 250g. Anything lighter is considered a "micro drone" or toy drone, and is not regulated. We bought a Mavic Mini 2 for just this reason and that's what we've been using here.
@@HomeARoam Ya I understand what you’re saying. My drone was a DJI Mavic Mini II as well, the Military & Police did not care at the time of the contact with me on the beach. I explained to them in Spanish I am friends with the Police Chief and he sternly said NOPE. I don’t care personally, just passing on my experience and the experiences of my friends as well.
Ya that got my heart pounding just watching your trailer rock back and forth like that , and capturing it on the GoPro , wow great driving Jay! Love the adventure you guys are sharing with everyone. P.S. your editing and filming skills seam to get better with each episode you put out. Drive safe , be safe enjoy.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video! It was super scary. When I looked in the rear view mirror I thought it was all over. We have our front and rear-facing dashcam running any time we're driving, so that's what captured the footage. We've heard it's important to have a dashcam down here since on rare occasions, traffic police may accuse you of running a stop sign when you didn't and try to get some money from you. Often if you show them the dashcam they will move on.

Such narrow roads! Ugh. Glad you didn't get hurt or damage the trailer. Safe travels!
Thanks! It was definitely a scary moment, but we got through it and had an amazing time in Mulegé and Bahía de Concepción.
Scary!!! The roads between San Felipe and and Guerrero Negro were nuts for sure! Glad there was no damage though.
Thankfully we didn't have a blow out!
Scary. On another note, the music is fascinating!
You are finding some really great spots.
Thanks Jerry. Yeah, we've really lucked out with just about all the camping spots we've been at. Really beautiful beach camping and a lot of it is still free, or very inexpensive.

Enjoy! From what we've seen and been told by repeat visitors, things have definitely picked up this winter!
Great videos All is your back Lee Springs on your camper they OK.
When you're catching the drone just turned upside down it shuts off Be safe how far

Scary! Well handled, though :) Glad everything ended up being fine!

Glad all ended well. That was scary to watch!
Even scarier being there! 😁 But we're very thankful that it didn't turn into a worse situation.
Too funny! I just watched Eamonn and Bec do the same places on their channel. They thought the hot spring was too hot also
So if you can believe it, they were actually parked right next to us! If you look carefully on our drone footage, you'll see their van. 😁 We chatted with them a bit, and Mel helped them out with their dog.
@@HomeARoam love it!
East of Guerrero Negro the highway was so narrow !!!! We did find that the truckers are very considerate on the highway !
Yes the truckers are pretty considerate, all things considered. They seem to do their best to give as much space as they can.
@@HomeARoam - I found it a bit refreshing comparing it to the truckers we saw on our last road trip in the eastern states !
Oh my gosh that was a close call 😨 Had such a blast with you guys!
We were so thankful it turned out ok. So great meeting you on that beach and hanging out!
YIKES !
Those beach camp spots north of Loreta look amazing !
Staying focused on your driving is what likely saved you from peril and allowed you to enjoy the beauty that followed. You guys sure are adventurous with those roads - thanks for sharing all that beauty!
The roads are definitely tough to get used to, but so worth it! We've seen some amazing places.

That's too bad. Really sorry you lost your drone that way. Thanks for letting us know.
Your travels so far is amazing! Great content and video, thank you for sharing.
Safe travels!
Thanks Maurice! We've definitely been extra cautious on the highways now with both of us on the lookout for rough spots and potholes.
