I have watched a million videos on painting clouds, this is the first video I've seen one that makes me want to go try it. I love the fact that you realize all the little details are what people need to know/see!
All the little details that you know YOU need to see.... out of the "Millions of videos on painting clouds" I look for "little things" that I need to see and I see the "little things" that I want to look for..... You don't know what I "need to see", and I've looked for "little things" that he hasn't realised I needed to see. So, I realise I can find "little things" in many videos, without having to look at "Millions".
Thankyou so much sir! This is the best, most professional, perfect pace Tuition I have Experienced.Im certainly staying & following this Gentleman. Great Tuition. Thankyou & kind regards Clementine Croft .🎉
I started painting 2 months ago. My desire is to master realistic clouds of all kinds. Found your video and WOW!! You are a gifted instructor! Brilliant artist, but you also possess the ability to truly instruct learning artists like myself!! Love the yumminess!! And thank you for not trying to sound like Bob Ross. I see a lot of that on TH-cam. Thank you for the great tutorial. I've got to go now and tickle some clouds. :)
This is awesome ! Thank you so much for taking the time to make / post this video. I want to paint a picture with hidden images for my granddaughter, first I needed to learn how to paint clouds. ¥
Just a brilliant tutorial. Passing skills like that on to a novice is just priceless. And you show it in such a straightforward and practical way as well. Clearly a master artist, and a master teacher as well . Thank you 👍
I'm a total beginner but your tutorial has me wanting to dive straight in to clouds. So simply explained and looks genuinely achievable! Thanks so much 😊
I learned how to make clouds form ur old videos and it really worked fir me the the trick of using blending brush to give realistic look. 7 years back i watched and did many paintings using ur technique
Love this ! I'm a big time lover of clouds, not the "man made" ones, of course, love the fall and springtime clouds. This is the best tutorial on how. You're right about the weather in clouds, sooo and many different colors seen in them, greens browns, the colors you used, and more. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and knowing how to paint these gorgeous things . ❤😊😊
Your clouds r delicious! My first clouds looked like donuts moving across the sky, now, after a year of painting and watching so many of ur videos, I love my clouds and I even find myself saying, “tickle the tops”! U r an incredible teacher/instructor! Ty!
Excellent video and tutorial. I’ve learned more from you in 20 minutes than I have watching hours on other channels. Love the music, too. Thanks for this!
Hi Ian, I love watching your tutorials and have seen you grow as an artist. I enjoy hearing your Aussie accent and fun expressions such as “put-er-onner brush” and “blend it to buggery”. Great tutorial! I’ll be trying this technique in my next work. Thanks and keep producing these videos for us.
absolutely beautiful sky, I like the "V" forming the clouds to come over the top toward the front, and the "filler inner clouds"....cirrus....can't wait to start my next painting! thank you Ian for helping me become a better painter!
This tutorial is fantastic! I am painting a sky on earring blanks and needed to paint some realistic clouds to compliment the ocean I have already painted.
Thanks Ian. I'm absolutely hopeless at painting clouds but hopefully this tutorial will help me. I've got a painting of the Barron Falls North Qld during the wet season and haven't been able to finish it.... yet.
I can do it! You really are an inspiration & makes me want to do better, I find myself saying don’t forget to tickle the tops. Thank you once again for the wonderful tutorial from the great acrylic guru
I don't paint in acrylic but I believe this technique will also be very helpful in oil painting. I love how you explained why you do each step. If I know why I'm doing something, it allows me to know when & how much of it is necessary. Now, I've gotta search your channel to see if you show more of your studio. It looks like a beautiful setup.😊 Thank you for some really great tips.
You have really made that acrylic paint stay workable! Amazing clouds! I have never watched you paint before, but I WILL warch your videos some more! 😍😍😍😍
Thank you so much for this video! It's the most complete, informative and well explained video I could find. This sky is so realistic, I felt a lot of emotion watching you doing it.
Good detailed step by step tutorial regarding sky and clouds. I know you always give details when you paint your clouds in other tutorials but I have definitely appreciated this tutorial more. Thank you so much for your time producing this tutorial and stay safe.
I love your painting! I too have seen many videos on clouds, but i sincerely adore you telling every detail you do. Like for example using the retardant. You have me as your viewer now, n I thank you for sharing..this is my first time here.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Clouds are such an inspiration yet to me one of the most frustrating to paint, as haven't been able t paint exactly what i have in my mind. So thank you so much for this wonderfully detailed lesson. 🙏👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼💝
Thanks for sharing your tips to help creating believable clouds. I hope my poor massive bags of cement in the sky will soon look like elegant, flowing clouds.😀 Greetings from Poland!
Clouds really allow the artist to be creative. You have good representation of stratus above the horizon with cumulus tops. The middle clouds are cumulous and the top clouds are cirrus. I like your technique and I will try to replicate this. It is hard to get a 3D effect where you can imagine the depth of the cloud. I will incorporate this in the painting I am currently working on. Thanks for your tutorial.
I struggling with clouds I have watched tins of cloud video's but still just couldn't seem to get them right.. Until I watched yours😊 Thank you from the bottom if my heart!!!
@@ianapolis thank you so much, actually for reaching how to make clouds... I tried earlier but was not realistic and beautiful like you made...now I shall follow yr method 😊
Thanks so much Mate, good onya for posting this, VERY helpful! Was wondering if you have studied all the different kinds of clouds. I thought it might be helpful to mention it in one of your up-coming vids. I am a retired Pilot and have taken up drawing and painting. I had to study clouds for various aviation certifications and was amazed at how many different kinds of clouds there are and the meteorological conditions that cause them. Keep up the excellent work!👍🏻
Oh my gosh haven't tried it yet because I just watch this. I think will be a lot easier for me with my way of doing things to do it this way. Thanks and blessing
I was looking for a video of how to paint realistic clouds. You made it look easy and gave a great explanation. It’s my first time watching your videos. Will definitely watch more. Also, love your accent, Australian? I have always wanted to visit Australia.
What is interactive acrylic paint. I've never heard of that before. I am enjoying your video. Thank you for sharing. What brand extender did you use. We live in Southern California and our humidity level is SO low, that my acrylic paint dries super-fast!
I am planning to try these techniques. I do clouds and have more to learn. I think it is helpful, and the brushes look like the ones I get at the hardware store, which works for me.!
I think this is the best acrylic painting video I've seen. Thank you for sharing your talent. By the way, what are the bristles in your blending brushes made of??
I have watched a million videos on painting clouds, this is the first video I've seen one that makes me want to go try it. I love the fact that you realize all the little details are what people need to know/see!
