Hope this video helps you remove your caliper and change your brakes and rotors. I tried to include some tips and tricks for making your brakes easier to change next time as well as keep there performance at its best. Thanks again for watching and i hope this walks you through installing your new brake pads and rotors.
quick and to the point. great refresher, thanks for putting this together!
I just did mines and this helped tremendously. Thank you for the guidance!
Thank you! I have the same year jku. Doing all 4 wheels soon, so nice to see it before I do it. Thanks!
Very clear and to the point! I enjoyed this video and feel a lot more confident working on my gf's Jeep! Thank you!
Awesome vid. Ty
Nice video. However a couple points. 1. You don’t want to put anti-seize on the rotor. 2. Blue locktite is strong enough to hold, never Red.
How long would you expect the front pads and rotors to take to replace?
Anything wrong with just putting the vehicle in 4 low instead of lowering it down to torque the lug nuts?
Would have handled the job anyway but this made it so much easier. Cheers.
Thank you SO MUCH for this video! What was the orange lubricant you used? Permatex?
yes, would also like to know
Yes permatex brake lubricant
Red loctite....you're frickin nuts buddy. I want to see the video of you taking this apart!
@@canuckloyalist4681 lol kinda just did this is my second or third time doing it on this jeep, the mountains chew the pads especially rears
Thought you had a good informational video other them Telling them to use red lock tight. Definitely want to use blue not red. The next brake job will be a nightmare
what is the orange stuff? what brand rotors and pads?
Grease or lube
Brand of the yellow stuff and what brand of rotors and pads?
When you first start to take the pins out, you said to stop the nut from spinning is to use a box wrench . I am sure you meant to say OPEN END wrench.
Make sure parking brake is off rotor will come off much easier
So your not supposed to bleed the brakes ? At all ?
Not unless your feeling sponginess or weak braking.
Great video thank you
Get a jaw puller for the rotors.
The dog going to duster land from that brake cleaner
