- Hello everyone and thankyou for watching our next episode. This week we get a bit more done on the vanity unit. We dismantle and cut up Hayley's old pine dressing table, make a worktop, shelves and Curved doors. Hope you enjoy!

That’s a lot of work for a vanity unit I was thinking at the start then saw the result. Well worth it.

Hi, many congrats on a complex but sophisticated design and part-execution. Hopefully, I shall watch the next part and continue to be in awe. My wood-working skills result in 90% filler, plus 5% glue and 5% wood, so I have no idea how you manage the work so well. You are obviously fitting-out your boat with great skill, thought and care. Good luck and thanks for your good-humoured posting. (Glad your vanity unit won't built with too many boobs nor be "bog-standard" ! :)

As always, very impressed by your work.
The only bit of kibbutzing I can do is to make sure that the top is secured to the CLS frame with large headed screws, in oversized holes to ensure that you have some give for the top expanding and shrinking.
I presume you're going to use a clear varnish on the top and shelves?
To follow myself up - you did use oversized holes with large headed screws to allow the top to expand and shrink.
Of course my favorite part about this show is the opportunity to show off my own knowledge about these various things to my wife. And you're the only people working on a boat that is actually doing things *right.*
I'm not going to name names, but we're watching a couple of other narrowboat fit outs, and both of them make me practically scream at the screen, and yours is the only one where I'm nodding along, thinking "Yep. That's how you do that!"

Hi Simon, yes everything is ok. Hopefully todays vlog will be out very soon. Its still processing. I run out of time lastnight doing the editing as there was so much footage to condense down so finished it early this morning but now youtube is taking longer than usual to do all the checks. fingers crossed it will be in the next hour.
