Thats the second defective hot water tank I have seen this week @The Nomadic Crobot channel there's blew up and swelled with pressure, glad you got yours before the other pipes etc were attached, 😎👌💖💖
Yes George it could of been a lot worse. Yes we watched Nomadic Crobot unfortunately they put a standered house cylinder in their boat which you cant use on that time of system and blew the bottom out. thanks for watching👍
Morning!! Half a pound of pork sausages for fingers, so funny!!! 😋 no tongue again, come back tongue 😋 it makes me laugh!! Fantastic job as always, love you guys!!! Xx
Thanks Stephen. I've started chewing on a pencil to stop it popping out ! It's the speeded up footage that everyone seems to like specially the women viewers 😂😂😂.
Another fab Sunday Wanderlust installment. Looking forward to see her final top colour ❤ the ❤on the Bow. Yes I agree 2 inches does make all the difference!😂🤫😉 xx
Yes Simone, Cant beat an extra 2 inches hahaha. I now don't smash into the wall when i slide out of bed. lol I better rephrase that as you might think Ady is saying it about the extra 2 inches. I should say much better for me with a levelish floor so i don't keep walking into the wall hahaha.
Nice job on the calorifier plumbing. I like the mixer thermostat as my one did not have that so water was really hot. Will definitely fit one when its reinstalled along with a expansion tank. Boats looking great top dollar fit out.
Great Video Again Guys , Look on the bright side , The leaky cylinder was better now than if was just holding water and started leaking later , you would only have known with dirty hot tap water and could have made you ill . Regards Dave
You were lucky with the hot water tank. If that had been a replacement tank and you had the engine in with coolant it could have been bad. I presume the engine and diesel water heater both have anti freeze in their systems. That leak would have resulted in an antifreeze shower.
Great idea of how you levelled the boat out. I need to get mine sorted. I feel a trip to Machine Mart coming on! Re your water leak escapades, I was going to say was the first fitting of the calorifier just a dry-run, but that wouldn’t be quite right! 😉
You're getting there, well done. How fortunate that you filled the cylinder up before the engine or boiler pipes were connected or you wouldn't have known about that leak. Why not connect the hot water tank drain up to the sink waste tank/pipe? I've connected my bungalow one to the drains, and it certainly makes life a lot easier.
If he'd connected that faulty coil up to the central heating circuit he would have known about the leak as they are normally a vented system and so the reservoir would have started over flowing. The engine cooling circuit might have been a different matter though as that is a pressurised circuit with a pressure cap on the reservoir. On a boat the sink drains go overboard high up the side of the boat so the drain water from the calorifier would have to run uphill which is not a problem you have in a bungalow!
@@vonasi2 thanks for the information, didn't think that that tank was connected to the central heating system, Maybe he could drain to the foule water tank via a hose that could be removed when it wasn't wanted. Anyway he was lucky to have discovered the leak before he'd done any more work.
Yes really lucky it could of turned quite nasty and we wouldn't of known until it was too late. Once we get the sink we can then decide where would be best to have the drain. Thanks for watching Tony👍
@@tonycamplin8607 Narrowboats don't have foul or grey water tanks - the waste from sinks and showers just goes straight into the canal via holes in the side well above the water line.
better to have the problems now than later when all the boat is finished and water is leaking everywhere that would not be good she is coming on a treat they use those jacks to repair punctures on the trucks I drive you need something to lift 44 tons they do a great job what's next guys. ? S C UK.
yes we were lucky to spot the problem when we did before anything else was attached. Yes we were quite shocked at how easy they lifted the boat. Great piece of kit 👍
We are going to use the sand like we did in the engine bay we think. If not beads. All that will be done maybe early spring once we have our solar put on so we can mask it out in the right places, If we get a spell of good weather again this year we might do the gunwales .
@@adybishop6050 thanks, It says on the description Includes bypass feature to provide smooth, quiet flow. No need for accumulator tank, Still worth fitting one?
What a shame getting a defective calorifire from the factory!! Feel your aggravation!! Great video as always. Thought you guys use the metric system for measurement lol
Think us British do a big mix up of metric and imperial. Seems all boat stuff is in imperial for some reason so we've slipped into using that more. We are a strange country hahaha

Bet the Boiler episode was a pain mind you irf you're going to have problems with it let it be now!! Xx

Cheers mate, Bit of a game changer when living on board getting hot water 👍
Great update guys nice to see there were no swear words during the minor leak 👍
Thankyou John. Just a little one but plenty under my breath.

Great vlog as always guys👍 "bigger the better " says Nanny 😂😂😂😂😂😂🙋♂️ take care guys can't wait for the next 1...🙏

Really well explained

Yes David very lucky. First thing Ady said when it happened was that we would of been none the wiser until it was too late.

hahaha yes very good. Yep Richard is great when its level. Makes a big difference. Hope your recovering well 👍
Why did I think 'you'll never lift the boat with that little bottle jack' ? but then saw it had 32Ton written on the side of it. Nice one. Take care.
Cheers George. I did think the same when I first saw the jacks. Pretty impressive bit of kit though.
Made it to fifty :-)
😂😂😂 We feel your pain 👍
Really enjoying tbh….

Hi, can you remember the rating of the immersion heater and the cable you used.?
Hello yes it is 1.5mm arctic blue cable and a 1 kw immersion heater👍
