You may like that, but an incredible number of guests also want to be entertained. They want to know everything that is on the plate simply because they pay so much money. If you pay 500 euros per person in a restaurant in the Netherlands and you only say "salmon with sauce" you will get loads of bad reviews. Purely because they think they pay too much for just the food.

What's the ranking of Paris' 3 star restaurants? I'm visiting in May, I'm currently considering Kei, Alleno, Guy Savoy and Arpege. I ruled out Le Pre and this video confirmed my suspicion. It does look good, but nothing looked terribly exciting except maybe the langoustine. The chocolate pie and ice cream looked good, but I would expect more out of a 3 star Michelin restaurant
@@jlaz11 Yes, I agree. The dishes look plain and unexciting. Le Pre Catelan has been ranked lower than other Paris 3 stars by Andy Hayler and other food critics. We are going to Paris in April and we currently have reservations for Guy Savoy, Kei, Epicure, and Pierre Gagnaire.
@@ShawnHoMDJD We went to Epicure a few years ago. It was fine, not a memorable meal unfortunately. Beautiful dining room and friendly service. We went to Guy Savoy (Las Vegas) in the same year and we actually do remember some of the dishes from that experience and really enjoyed it. They actually forgot to charge us for the white truffle supplemental! Kind of sad because that restaurant is in such a bad location and there's hardly any patrons there, kind of you have to know it exists to go there

Looks wonderful. Especially the Hare. That had me drooling, wishing it was game season and I was in Paris. But I do feel like the dishes seem a too minimal for my personal taste. I prefer a little bit more complexity in terms of flavours and textures. Especially in a 3 star.

I mean, this cooking does look lovely, with the hare in particular looking to be an outstanding course. Also, depending on how well it was cooked, a cheese soufflé seems like a lovely idea. That said, there was more complexity to Frederic Anton’s cooking in prior years. Smoked salmon with a sabayon looks most underwhelming. And where was his famous dessert, La Pomme? I’m afraid this lack of sophistication makes things a bit dangerous as far as retaining his third star is concerned.
You know Frederic Anton very well, I like scallop raw and langoustine course, I know is similar of Robuchon restaurant but Frederic present also excellent pretty and taste delicious.

Thanks for the comment, but I haven’t said I am foodie, Depend of that day situation, sometimes I drink champagne, wine or juice, normally I am not drinking lunch time, coming videos is evening have a champagne and wine pairs. If I got drunk in noon, I can’t make a videos and focus of foods.

As much as a Michelin star restaurant is on my bucket list....caviar is nasty. I am not eating Fois gras or any other liver and scallops are my 2nd favorite seafood...but not eating them raw.
I need to focus on video, normal no drink or one glass of champagne or wine, fine dining no push order drink, if drunk I can’t take videos. Coming soon have more evening fine dining with wine pair videos, I will try our best making better.
Fine dining never push you order drink, with or without drink also good service, but for our table manners we order at least one drink and bottle of water, bottle of water not cheap €10 to €15

Agreed. While I am sure L'Ambroisie is still great, I'd much rather come here.
