I am actually a mechanical engineer that sometimes make videos for my parents. I am going to attempt this today! Thanks so much. My dad is a teacher and asked me to make a heartbeat travelling through Namibia to show the heartbeat of his school travelling throughout the country while the kids are at home. Lets hope I can follow along well! Thanks for your tutorial. Also just visited the website. Really awesome!
@@lollol-rc5nr Yes I did, it turned out pretty cool. My father was extremely impressed and proud to make use of it. Unfortunately he recently passed away from Covid. Really glad I made the video when he asked for it.
You clearly have the knowledge and I appreciated the content. You went through some commands so quickly, it was difficult to understand you. Had to watch multiple times how you get from step a to step b. I do not know how you utilized the search option multiple times and I wish you took the time to show it step by step. Assume that people don't know rather than people know it.
Wow, I have just gotten to a point where I am really comfortable with premiere pro, and I clicked on this expecting it to be easy, but wow. After effects is another animal 😂
Good tutorial! I make a lot of maps for work and one thing i've noticed is adding depth of field really makes people think it's very "premium and dynamic" Also an interesting idea is to make the shadow sharper where the line starts and ends, and softer in the middle so it looks like the travel line is Arcing instead of floating at a constant height. I manage to do that once by using a blur matte to control the amount of blur for the shadow. Another thing I've noticed is producers love to see vignettes. Give them a low opacity vignette or they wont think its a final. darken the edges (corners) and also make it a little out of focus. Plugins like chromatic abrasion make it really easy to recreate the abrasion that happens around the edges of real life lenses. But its easy enough to do by hand as well. Good tutorials on that online already tho. For extra polish i usually add dirt texture to the edges of the vignette that's barely visible as if the lens was a little dirty. Throw in some clouds to fly by too and everyone will think youre a graphics wizard.
Pretty interesting tutorial, seems really simple yet impressively effective, thanks a lot! If I may throw just a couple suggestions... it would take a bit longer to render, but since you're using 3d layers and cameras, you could also add a light so that the location pin would really throw a real shadow on the map. It would also add some realism to the map itself. Or, if we're going to go with the not-RAM-consuming version, instead of adding a drop shadow to the location pin you could have added a copy of it, make it black and almost transparent, and keep it unrotated so it would "project" on the map.
@@lukkaku He suggested that we could just create a "light" on the map so that can have a more real feeling of the shadow. That is the logical in doing 3d rendering
Nice tut.. Cheers! Do you have (or can make) a similar tutorial.. With the zooming in from above earth down to a specific location? (with google earth or similar)
This help a lot guys. this channel help me in my project. Not only that but also its plays a huge role which influence me to start my own Swahili tutorial like this.
holy hell this is a lot to take in but wow! Next level animations that look somewhat possible to achieve for a novice like myself! ill be giving this a crack
Very nice video. I am new to Adobe After Effects. In your video you mentioned "Effects & Presets" around 2:06 timeline of the video. I was scratching my head. I got lost but I eventually found it on some other youtube tutorial. It is located in the very right under the "Search help". This is in the very top right corner. For those have trouble as well
Bro m learning editing from past 6 days in my mobile and i will definitely make this animation in my mobile. i know it will consume more and more time but i will definately try it out. Thanks for this video
thank you sir, but for me i made a simple one cause 10 municipalities in one destination that's why i didn't add the camera effects. Love from the Philippines. just subscribed btw
Love the channel. Thank you... I am having the issue that when i enabled 3d on all my layers, my stroke disappeared. It wasn't until I moved my map layer backwards in Z space by 1 pixel that everything worked. Your tutorial worked for you without doing this step... was there something I was missing that made me do this step?
This is great, thanks. Do you have a tutorial on how you zoom in and out of your screen cap like in this tutorial while pointing to different areas inside after effects?
