This video is great, but what I didn't understand is why did you not use "Point of Interest" on the camera, instead of the given method. I am a beginner, I might not know much. So I am just curious to know.
Good questions, there are many different ways to create 3D cameras from 1 node to 2 nodes and by using controllers too. It really comes down to a case by case as to which method you would use. I tend to personally try a few methods and go with the one that best works for that particular animation. I walk you through cameras/controllers in my Animation Master Course for beginners. Either way you can however watch tutorials on youtube and you should be able to get a better understanding of how they work.
