God I love you two, watching people who truly love Star Wars react makes the episodes even more fun. As for this show I am concerned it’s going the route of the sequels but I’m giving it a chance and looking forward to your reaction.

I love both of y'all's Clone Force 99 tops!!! 🌑 Star Wars Holocron and Wookieepedia have told me we've seen 'Mae', 'Sol' (played by Lee Jung-jae, as Shanda noticed is from SQUID GAME), 'Qimir', 'Jecki Lon', 'Yord Fandar', 'Vernestra Rwoh', 'Mother Aniseya', the Wookiee 'Kelnacca' (portrayed by Joonas Suotamo) and 'Indara' (embodied by the lovely Carrie-Anne Moss who Edith has long loved) in this trailer. Looks great to me!!!

I have loved Carrie Ann since I saw the first Matrix in theater! And seen it probably a few hundred times not even exaggerating. Only the OG lol the other get confusing but I do love the dance scene in the 3rd one
@@RemoteRebels She's so gorgeous, seems really bright and such a great actor! I knew of her since she was in MODELS INC. (1994). I didn't watch it but one of my friends did, so he'd point her out to me in magazines, etc. I so love that she's in our beloved galaxy far, far away!!!

It’s set within the high Republic, see the comics and graphic novels if you want more details before the show actually starts, I actually wanna start reading the high Republic, graphic novels and comics.
The Wookie Jedi was introduced in the high Republic, novels and comics.

@@remoterebels2 I also found out yesterday (Saturday), the acolyte is set in the last 100 years of the high Republic, so pretty much the tail end and going into the fall of the Jedi.

I actually have a theory about who the red lightsaber belongs to:
There is an actor called Dean-Charles Chapman who played in Game Of Thrones.
The name of his character is not revealed yet BUT if you look at him he looks very much
like a young Ian McDiarmid ;).

@@remoterebels2 It is happening 100 years before Episode 1 Phantom Menace so its possible we will see Hidden Siths like Darth Plagueis who was Palpatine master or someone before them. You know rule of two.

Let’s keep in mind that a red lightsaber doesn’t necessarily mean they’re Sith. It just means that someone is so filled with darkness and rage they can bleed the kyber crystal. I will keep an open mind about this show until I see major or destructive retconning.

Making this a main comemnt as well, just in case you don't see my reply to a reply, as I'm clearing up the "1000 year" thing that others have misinformed you on. It is not an alteration to lore
Ki Adi Mundi mentions says "Impossible the sith have been extinct for a millenium", but the dude was a dolt who had no clue what he was talking about, and perfectly presonifies the arrogant ignorance to information that JEdi of that era suffered from
It's always been established lore that the Sith rule of 2 has continued through Darth Sidious, and his master Darth Plagueis , and his master Darth Tenebrous, and their master an unnamed Twi'lek Sith Lord, and their master, and their maste etc. in an unbroken chain, all the way back to Darth Bane, the creator of the rule of 2. And, yes, this is all current canon, not just EU
The Acolyte takes place when Darth Tenebrous (and maybe his master) are both alive and active. Darth Plagueis would've been around 14 at the time of this show
Basically, canon says that the Sith have existed this whole time. The Jedi stating something, doesn't make it fact. In fact, it's heavily established lore that a Sith Temple exists, multiple levels down, directly below the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. And that the temple had been clouding the Jedi this entire time. So you should always take statements made by prequel movie Jedi, with a massive pinch of salt
Also, as for their stupid addition on what Acolyte means??? They're a moron. Acolyte has been an established Dark Side role within both EU and Canon Satr Wars lore for an incredibly long time. It is a low rung position, essentially equivalant to a Padawan. They're esentially a student in the Sith ways. They technically didn't exist in the Rule of 2 as an actual rank. But it's generally used as a quick descriptor term for a secret role within the Rule of 2. In the rule of 2, they'll be the secret Apprentice to the Sith Apprentice of the Sith Master. Whereby, when it came time for the Sith Apprentice to kill their master, and take up the role of master, their Acolyte (their own secret apprentice) would aid them in the task
By the time of the Galactic Empire, in canon, Sidious tried to do away with this, and make Vadar completely subserviant. Which was a massive afront to the rule of 2, and how it opperates. In the end, Vadar tries to have Luke take on the role of Acolyte, when he invites him to help defeat Sidious
Don't just believe random stuff people tell you in comments, as they usually completely lack lore knowledge to back it up
It’s a story in the area of the high republic 100 years before the
Phantom Menace! It’s Between the last book of the trilogy of Darth Bane around 1000 years before the Phantom Menace and the book of Darth Plagueis 67 years before the Phantom Menace! They never seen a sith after the area of Darth Bane and they don’t know the existence of Darth Plagueis! No baby Yoda, no sith, just the dark side in the Acolyte! If we see Darth Tenebrous, the master of Darth Plagueis well every jedi in the Acolyte need to die cause no Sith have been seen for 1000 years!
Noone really knows whats going on with this show yet, other than its supposed to be a "perspective from the dark side", and its 100 years before the prequels. Palpatine hasnt been born yet, so if there is Sith in this series they will be Tenebrous and Plaguis

Acolyte is the apprentice of a Sith Lord. Sith Lords were once Acolytes. Had this show been about a Jedi Master, the show would have been called The Padawan.

Edith you're correct in Episode 1 we have not seen or heard about the Sith in a millennium, a 1,000 years. Lesley Headland is re-defining SW in her image not George's original SW. KK hired her for that very reason and KK has always had a different viewpoint about SW, "The Force is Female" and Lesley is the perfect person to destroy Lucas' SW. acolyte \AK-uh-lyte\ noun. 1 : one who assists a member of the clergy in a liturgical service by performing minor duties. 2 : one who attends or assists a leader : follower. Examples: The lawyer arrived with one of her acolytes, an eager young attorney who'd recently been hired by the firm.
tbf this could work if it means every jedi who sees the sith in this show gets killed, so the sith are still a secret

I guess for me it goes back to all those years of being told that we would never get anymore Star Wars. So now, no matter what content they give us I wanna eat it up. Hope that makes sense.
