      I always enjoy his dog training content, but I also really admire how kind, complimentary, and generous he is in his acknowledgement of Janet’s gifts/strengths. It’s just so lovely - he loves her out loud! 😊

    I enjoy to watch your new puppy growing up with you. I have a 2 and half year old Malinois and Shepherd mix from shelter and she is a very beautiful, very obedient and affectionate dog. She is very sensitive and easy with training and I am lucky to have her.

    I still have my boy Vader( Malinios ) that I adopted from the shelter. I am really blessed he is an awesome dog actually I’ve adopted two (Malinios) prior to Vader from shelters both were amazing my one girl was 17 when we lost her and my girl now is 11 and Vader is 6.

      I did the same thing there’s so many purebred, Belgium malinois and I mean really high-quality thousand dollar dogs if not higher because people buy them do not realize how much you have to work them out and how much work they are and they wanna look cool or feel cool because they seen them in the movie or in the military or with the police so so many people that shouldn’t be buying those type of dogs buy them and then give them up when they can’t handle them.
      I’m in Southern California about two hours from LA and between LA and Riverside county they are show many up for adoption and I mean high-quality. We even found some that have been to a boarding for Belgium that is like $5000 but the people couldn’t give it enough attention or spend enough time with him and I gave kudos to those people for giving them up for adoption but I feel so bad for these dogs so my wife and always one every time we ready for a new dog.
      He is literally the best dog I have ever had besides my female German Shepherd .
      His name is Ron you and I actually lucky that we were blessed with these amazing dogs from shelters.

      Well, thank you for getting back and telling me the story of your best friends are used to have a German Shepherd but now I don’t I actually have border collies they’re pretty hard to, but if you do agility or herd They are the best dog for those sports well have a wonderful day and thanks again.

      @@Artlover688 I am so blessed they are the very best pups they in steal my heart every time I’ve adopted them… they become my soul dogs… my girl was adopted from someone who found her and a cat abandoned in a home to fend for their selves. My girl now was adopted from a San Bernardino shelter and my boy was adopted from the Riverside Shelter… I also have a chorkie now which was very unexpected , but now is my Vaders best friend.

      Thank you for this! I am all for corrections but I had to throw out a so called master trainer for this very reason . My German Shepherd male cujo was a barely 6month old and I was cringing by the way he was and my heart was broken! He was so heavy-handed and so I ended it! I'm not sure why this man thought he had to be trying to choke out a 5 1/2 month old regardless of the gsd breed he was not ready for the hard way that this man was correcting him. I was so upset that he was ruined! I have been lucky enough to get him to the great dog he is now at 5. He had a birthday this month and he is one of the best dogs and mostly I have your videos and other select training content that I have seen! I am grateful for you Robert Cabral!

    I volunteer for a Malinois rescue. It amazes me how many people buy Mals from puppy mill breeders knowing full well they are unscrupulous breeders. Then we end up getting these dogs from shelter La because the ‘breeder’ won’t take them back. Thank you for pointing this out. Hopefully people do their research on these dogs before getting them. The shelters/rescues are getting overwhelmed with these fabulous animals 🖤🐾🐊

    The inner connection you felt with Schmuley, exactly describes mine when I first saw my boy Zeus. I just instinctively knew he was the one. Our boy was the perfect GSD for us - middle of the pack with all the right characteristics, beautiful temperament, low prey drive so will prove not to be a challenge for my son or our other pet's. It pays to be patient and wait...Great Q & A Robert, wish you many wonderful years ahead with Shmuley !

    Congrats Robert Janet and best of luck on new addition to family. He’s such a cutie and hope to seeing him grow up to terrific family. Would love to see more on your journey on feeding your babies, especially attempt on raw feeding. Suggestion, perhaps different methods of cooking too as carnivore is good addition to kibble.

    He is gorgeous! My Malinois puppy is nearly 7 months old! Very good breeder and good 5 generation pedigree! So far so good! Passed Puppy Foundation course and Kennel Club bronze course and at 5 months passed U.K. Sniffer Dog bronze training with distinction and first in class! Now just need to work on reactivity to some cars and some people and dogs on walks but with patience/training this is improving! Friendly towards people that we allow him to meet! 😀🐶💖

    I have a Sable male coming July August time frame. I've raised Labrador Retrievers all my life and trained them for hunt tests. Well, I just retired from LE and moved to the mnts. I've wanted a Sable colored GSD for some time now. My dogs have all lived in my house and are just like my kids. I feel like a 5-year-old getting his first pup. Pup comes from great genetics and excellent health. Did my research. I've learned a ton from your channel and few other and best way to work with this breed. Very active outdoorsman and plan on traveling, if our country aint upside down. Lol. I want a great companion and best friend for protection for me and my wife. I have 5yr old spayed chocolate female Lab now, and she is a very dominate girl. Be a great at putting my Male in check.

I love his head but I have a question and I’m not being rude. I hope you’re not gonna take this rudely, but is it OK that a young puppy growls at people when he first sees them is that normal for your breed ? Do you believe that’s fear thank you and again I’m not trying to be cruel. I’m just asking a question. Thank you very much.

    What do you look for in a breeder?

  • @MrFudgepump
    @MrFudgepump 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I had a female GSD and would regularly babysit my sisters female Rottie. I found that as long as I dictated the pecking order (my GSD was the top dog) then I had no issues. The gsd would get the first walk of the day, mealtime her bowl would go down first, bedtime my gsd was allowed on my bed (she earned that place) and the rottie slept on the floor. I know if you have kids then "you love them both equally" but with dogs you have to play favourites just so they know the hierarchy.

    I agree. Buy from a breeder that guttered their dogs for life. She wants them to be safe for the rest of their life . They must always come home when circumstances do not work out . No dog must end up in a shelter ever or passed on to just anyone . It’s not going to happen ever .

    I agree with most of what you say, but blaming the AKC for shitty Malinois is inaccurate. The AKC is advised on breed specific issues by the National Breed Club. The other problem is people just breeding “working dogs” with no other considerations. This makes it sound like if your dog is AKC registered it’s shitty - this is what that kind of language portrays. I am assuming your dog may not be FCI registered? He’s cute and smart and probably everything you want- but AKC registration doesn’t automatically make dogs shitty 😮

    • @RobertCabralDogs
      @RobertCabralDogs  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It also doesn’t make the dogs good automatically- and that is my point.
