@@neoxus30 I’m referring to moves that change power based on the target’s weight. Even then, Metagross isn’t the heaviest Pokémon, many Pokémon are way heavier than Metagross, so it will not always deal the maximum damage with Heavy Slam and Heat Crash. This is because those moves take the user’s weight and divides it by the targets weight and the power is based on functions with the ratio.
1:12 thats probably just because the last hit does more damage than what the down b can handle, 14% is the first frames limit (it gets stronger every frame, 0.24% to be exact )
Final Zoom is such a fascinating mechanic. I always thought you could live just a little bit longer than normal when it happened, glad to see that's confirmed. I like the mechanic, i think it can make for some really tense last stock situations, but I understand that some people don't like the seemingly random nature it can have
16:17 this is actually a great point I hadn’t considered. I mean they may let Mario Kart 8 or Smash Ultimate live for eternity even on the new console lol. At the same time though, we’ve had 3 different Mario Party games on the Switch alone, with obviously different boards and minigames and a few mechanic differences, and each one is still its own entry that doesn’t always “outclass” the prior; there’s still reasons to return to prior entries, at least for many casuals. So even if “Ultimate Deluxe” doesn’t happen, it isn’t impossible imo for a new Mario Kart or Smash to be released but with the focus specifically on making various things different enough from Ultimate to warrant people buying a full new game
Happy Birthday PK! I have been watching your content since the Pointless facts originated and have enjoyed your content ever since. Have a great rest of your day!
@@YoshiAteTooManyYoshiCookies Well you see the power geyser KO screen which did kill but considering the topic of this video its not like that's guaranteed lol
Happy birthday! Also, love that analysis of a tournament moment. I know you're kinda the casual smash guy, but you're also someone who does a lot of poking at the game, so it's cool to see you interacting with the competitive side of stuff :)
I still feel like there is some untapped potential for goofiness with spirits. They are just so varied in their effects. Spirit Mode probably has even more jank.
Ryu's focus has a damage based armor, not knockback based. So, it breaks if the damage exceeds the cap. I think it's around 25, I don't remember exactly. It still lowers the damage taken, tho
The Wii U was backwards compatible with Wii games, but it still got its own Smash Game despite Brawl being playable. I see no reason for the Switch Successor to not have a Smash, but I do 100% agree that it won’t be “Smash Ultimate Deluxe” or anything like that. Whatever the next Smash is, it will most likely be a new game.
I think the Finishing Zoom glitch on Slow Speed works because the game briefly reverts back to normal speed during the finishing zoom before putting the speed back afterwards
The Zoroark one I found when I was playing casually with my friends one night. My friend was playing Jiggs and for whatever reason was spamming rest when he was hit by Zoroark. Funny thing is I main PT and we immediately went into training mode to test it out but PT switch doesn’t work even though it’s frame 1 invulnerable? Super weird.
I don't know if this is related but I remember when playing with Incineroar, when you do a well timed side b with revenge active and get the finishing blow, the knockback seems way lower than normal. Like sometimes the opponent don't even leave the screen
1:35 I swear Sonic's Dodge was frame 1. Or maybe not 🤔 I thought it was though. Even if it isn't it would've been cool because he's a speedy character so he should dodge on frame 1. Sure it would be OP as heck, but it would be a cool gimmick in a future smash game.
There’s another glitch with the splash screen. No clue exactly what causes it, but I know it happens when both players get hit. I’ve seen it from time to time but the instance I remember best was a sonic forward smash vs power geyser, both players well in kill %. Sonic died to the power geyser normally, but Terry went… downwards into a tech situation, instead of the normal launch angle.
We've seen these glitches work with the final KO zoom-in, but I'm curious if this would also work with the blue zoom-in from certain moves. You could test this with moves that dont always zoom-in, like Steve's TNT or Mac's smash attacks. Would like to see this getting tested.
Happy Birthday! Are you aware that Shulk can use the cinematic slow down of a Final Smash's initiation to pull up his Monado Art Dial? He can use that to avoid some Final Smashes, like those that have an activation hitbox. Does it activate sooner when used in the Slow speed of Custom Smash?
I thought this was common knowledge, but the ROB up throw thing is because throws are universally weaker when the kill throw activates than they would be otherwise. Most kill throws seem programmed to not killscreen at some percents to avoid the situation shown, but some were missed. Pac-Man's back throw is an egregious example of this. It kills *way* later once the killscreen window activates. Like 30% later.
When Megaman’s neutral b is used on toon link the first hit will be blocked by toon link’s shield but not the second hit also sometimes neutral b does a combo total of 3 on R.O.B
Happy birthday PK! It’s always so fun to watch your videos and see things u never knew about the game! I can’t believe your birthday is just a day before mine
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Ultimate got more DLC when Switch 2 releases, Mario Kart 8 got DLC like 8 years after realease so it wouldnt be shocking y'know
4:52 I think the reason the momentum doesn't reset, is because they get hit when they are in the air. My guess is that you have to be on the ground to be able to input.
knockback decays in real time, regardless of gamespeed? So electric/paralyze attacks aren't getting as much decay on the slow down, cause the opponent gets launched sooner in the slow down. or something
I think the Zoroark tech not working on Ryu/Ken is because the focus attack can only absorb a certain damage as well? Like I think it can only take one hit, on top of it only being heavy armor
I did actually know that a Stone is 14 pounds. I heard some British people use it in a panel show, so I looked up what that is, and eversince then I've been mildly annoyed by British people still using this unit. Even as someone who grew up soley with the metric system, I have to admit that imperial units have one advantage over metric, they're neatly divisible by 3. Like, a third of a foot is four inches, that's nice. The stone being 14 pounds and thereby not having that advantage of other imperial units is kind of infuriating. And apparently this is not some dead obscure unit, some Brits give their body weight in stone to this day, but don't use it for any other weight. Come on, all your groceries are sold in metric amounts by now, right? Please don't throw in _stone_ for body weight and nothing else.
Oh my, Game and Watch's umm... I like how smash tries it's best to be family friendly yet no one realized the Cutie J spirit is flipping you off. This isn't even a Pokemon Sabrina Card situation she is intentionally giving the bird in the game and no one noticed all these years.
What happens to Mewtwo's disable in the immortality glitch? It cancels vertical momentum, but I believe it preserves horizontal momentum. Would it cancel all knockback? Or just keep Mewtwo hurdling sideways?
wish me a happy birthday pls i need attention
Happy birthday!!
Happy birthday 🎉
may a joyous birthday befall thee
You must enjoy your birthday today. It is a requirement.
Happy birthday wish you many many more
12:47 Fun fact, Metagross can have Light Metal as an ability, halving its weight! Still a lot, but halving it is something 😅
In the Pokémon games, Metagross with Light Metal is still heavy enough to take the maximum damage from moves that scale based on the target’s weight.
And also DEAL the max damage for the respective moves)

Omg hi Inv
Your comment is surprisingly in character
Is that a tanooki tail in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
finally, ONE difference between the samuses
Uh Sami’s has a hitbox behind her during her final smash but dark doesn’t?
And it now means the meta is dark samus lol

William Afton confirmed for smash 6
Oh no...

12:00 Jesus Christ Steve is the funniest character in this game
Happy bday btw :)
Saw that zomba set live, that crap was so funny to see. He ended up losing the game and the set too lmao

I'd still not rule out super smash bros ultimate + bowser jr's journey
10:46 Ah yes, because we need Pikachu to be even more broken.

That Steve assist trophy trick makes me wonder if he can interact with Rex at all or if Rex is on the same plane as the Pokemon Trainer

Oh thank Christ, thought the Steve mains achieved true immortality.

Sakurai accidently(?) programmed an underdog boost in normal matches.

Stone is common in the UK for measuring a person's weight, but not really for anything else.
Happy birthday PK! Also, great thumbnail
I have a theory that the slow down making things not kill as consistently is a last chance mechanic that was intentionally implemented
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Ultimate got more DLC when Switch 2 releases, Mario Kart 8 got DLC like 8 years after realease so it wouldnt be shocking y'know
Happy birthday 🎂, ive been watching for a couple years now and these videos have always been great
why did it take me this many episodes of smash ultimate facts to come to the realization that Ultimate isn't perfect?
I feel like that was realized some time ago.

I think the reason the momentum doesn't reset, is because they get hit when they are in the air. My guess is that you have to be on the ground to be able to input.
this video reminded me that 2x speed smash bros is in the base game. I should really try it out with friends !
You might not have heard of stone, because it tends to be used over here in the UK, although the metric system is, fortunately, replacing it.
The funny thing is, if they brought ssb melee to virtual console most of the fan base would still be on slippy.
4:29 I hate this
11:44 WHAT?!!?
